The best entrance is using the main entrance from west surface parking lot next to True Food Kitchen. At Gong Cha, quality bubble tea is served. I enjoy Gong Cha's tea and tapioca pearls. The service was quick, but if it was busy, it would be a little hard to see the signage near the pickup area and the specials with no pricing info. If there's a line, it's a little hard to wait to get the pricing information and hold up the line. Anyway, I was intrigued by the creme brulee milk tea that has a lovely swirling flavor mix in the image with that toasted top. In real life, it has no beautiful look, the pearls cost extra, and the lid slapped on top hides and interesting topping design (which is $1 extra). It was really sweet and tasted like iced coffee (and is labelled as coffee) even though creme brulee isn't a coffee flavor. I guess overall it was okay, but for a special treat, it wasn't special and it was a bit expensive. I think if you need a grab and go in the mall, there are many other options. read more

I have had better. I had my first cup of bubble tea at Song Tea, in Flushing Queens. They have a high "boba pearl" standard for the drink, judging by the store's superior reviews in Yelp and other social media. Their boba tastes like it is made with grade A tapioca. Gonga Cha does not fill Song's Tea's tea cup. Tapioca boba should be firm, chewy and flavorful. Gonga Cha's boba was none of that. Also, they gave me warm cup of iced Lychee Oolong tea. I had to ask for extra ice, and I could barely taste the lychee. Perhaps lychee-flavored boba pearls would have brought out the lychee flavor, but Gong Cha does not sell them. I got the Passionfruit tea, too. That tasted good, but they used too much passionfruit syrup to sweeten it. I prefer bubble tea at a 30% sugar level. They gave me an overdose, so I made them make me another drink. I do not recommend Gong Cha. There are higher quality bubble tea shops out there, and I hear that the best ones are in Flushing. Still a relative novice with this whole Boba tea scene. I mean, the permutations and combinations of teas, flavors, additions, sugar level, ice level, etc. are damn near infinite. Over time, after working my way trying different milk teas with either boba, then pudding, various sugar levels, etc... from various places lately I settled on an order of milk tea with grass jelly (herbal jelly), less ice and no sugar. Gong Cha is the best version I have found so far, by trying mostly large chains. The tea flavor really shines through and the delicate flavor of the grass jelly is distinct. As of today Gong Cha is my top, Chatime being next in line (also conveniently located near my work) and Kung Fu tea probably a place I would avoid. I am happy Gong Cha is so close to my house. I'm not particularly a fan of the black tapioca pearls, so I usually opt for the pudding or red beans for mix ins. This location is situated by the escalator near the aerie store and Starbucks. They have a tv menu as well as a postcard menu to take a look and decide what type of drink you want. When I go for the milk tea I either go for the taro milk tea or milk tea with pudding or with herbal grass jelly. What is nice is that the drinks can be adjusted for sweetness level depending what your liking is. Service I had here was good overall. Probably a great place to stop by if you're not in the mood for coffee at Starbucks. read more

Took my husband here to try this new bubble tea spot that replaced Happy Lemon inside our local mall. It was my second time trying this Gong Cha since they opened last month and we've tried them out before at their Flushing location as well and was never disappointed by the taste of their drinks except that their 50% sugar is still a tad sweet for my taste. You can specify how much sugar and ice you want in your drink, which is great because everyone has different wants. Service was good with all the workers being very nice, accommodating and actually listened to each order carefully to get it 100% right. One negative thing about this bubble tea chain is that they nickel and dime you for every additional to your drink (tapioca, changing to brown sugar, milk foam, jelly, pudding etc). This is a weird process that other bubble tea places don't do so it seems like their prices are overpriced compared to their competition. Another thing they do not have is the stamp ticket where you get 1 free drink for 10 drinks bought. This really makes customers become loyal to your brand. However, their tea is tasty and service was good so we will be back again. The earl grey, green tea and brown sugar milk tea are my favorites :) read more

There aren't many boba shops to choose from on the island, so I am forced to order from this Gong Cha when I am around the nabe. Given they are a stand inside a mall, the staff move and prepare your drinks relatively quickly. However, their drinks are pricey for what you receive and the boba is not soft enough to my liking (they taste refrigerated). My experience with the service here was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Despite explaining that my son has allergies after ordering two drinks and needing an extra cup, both the clerk and the manager refused to provide one. This lack of understanding and assistance made the situation unnecessarily difficult and even dangerous for my child. I even offered to buy a cup and pay for it, but they wouldn't provide. I have not been here since it was a Happy Lemon. Pretty much the same menu as every other Gong Cha, but the prices are a bit higher here. I went with an oolong tea with boba, half sweet. The tea itself was decent. I still think Kung Fu Tea beats out Gong Cha when it comes to the actual flavor of the tea. The boba was cooked perfectly. It probably helped that I was here early and it was probably still their first batch of boba for the day. I don't come to Roosevelt Field Mall much, but it's good to know there's a solid boba milk tea place there. My dream is for every place I frequent to have readily available milk tea, so this is one step towards that. After 2 failed attempts at Starbucks (the cashiers were moving about as fast as a rock), I was about to succumb to dehydration when a familiar logo caught my eye. Before placing the order, I asked the clerk may I change the white pearl to basil seed?( since they are the same price as topping choose). He key -in the system and said it should be free. "It is free. " So I order the "Lemon" Ai Yu with basil seed. He said it is $6.51. Before paying, I asked him again why it would be 6.51. He replied because of Tax. In the end, I checked the receipt. They still charged me. Is that hard to tell the truth ? I asked twice. As far as I know, Gong Cha did not earn profit by telling lie.They make good tasty boba tea and famous as the mile foam covered tea. If it taste really good, then I don't care I have been charged extra money. However, they made a Lemon Ai Yu WITHOUT Lemon. It is just cool water with Ai Yu, basil seed, and 30% sugar. I went back to store, told the clerk, it does not content Lemon. It just plain water. He replied me Oh! Lemon ... it is just describe as the citrus favor. It does not represent we put lemon in it. Very bad attitude. I wish I can give 0 stars. I am loyal customer to Gong cha but definitely wont come back to this location anymore. This is not the first time I have seen a bad attitude at this shop but today the girls attitude is unacceptable and that eyes rolling when I ask " can you just please add in some tea even if I have to pay extra i would because my cup just have no tea flavor" . And she gave me the cup back with the worst attitude and I still say thank you when she turn her back on me. I have drink the same drink for years and it just taste so sweet compare to normal time. I have asked so nicely for my drink to be fixed but all I got was bad attitude and eyes rolling from the girls. This is a small boba spot in Roosevelt field mall,(btwn starbucks and red mango). I ordered a taro bubble tea and hot oats bubble tea with boba. ( This one was for the win!!) It's different here tho, you have option to choose amount of ice and sugar you want in your drink,unlike other traditional boba spots where they make it themselves already. I didn't really enjoy the taro , a bit too bland and didn't taste like the taro I was used too , but the oats drink was so different and yummy omg, I like the warmth and the feeling of the boba and oats together. I love that they have a variety of choices from teas, slushies, milk teas, and add ons like white pearls, fruit jelly, basil seeds, etc. This place is especially good considering you have a choice with sweetness.
