When I am in the mall I passed by Black Pearl many times and never stop by I decided to order a bubble tea but didnt know what I wanted. The employees suggested Sweet Sunshine so to ordered there recommendation. By now, we've become connoisseurs of boba tea. This place is a bright spot in the mall (it might be directly under a sunlight) with cute naming conventions. It's ok, service is always good, flavors are more candy-like than tea, and maybe that's your thing, so it can be ok for some. I don't recall reducing the sugar or even having the option to do so. Packaging is also cute. Lychee jelly was kind of tough. I would have it again in a mall full of soda. read more

Black Pearl Bubble Tea in Green acres is actually great , I tried a Pearl milk Tea in Long Island it tasted like Dog shit no offense. One day I came across this store in green acres and I said lemme just try it one more time and surprisingly it was great. One of the workers are very welcoming and nice. I was kinda feeling dead in the day like usual but the kind worker said enjoy your drink with a smile that helped me continue the day better :) Most people want a store to be perfect but no one is perfect everyone needs improvement, but the workers do the best they can do make it a good store that's enough for me to like them. Now I have stayed away from the boba teas because I have never like tapioca pudding and where the drink I chose the passion island tea did mot have boba in it my moms did and I decide to see what these tapioca balls were like. And we'll it was nothing like tapioca it was a hard gel like ball. So if you are concerned about it being like tapioca pudding it's NoT !!! Lol. The teas were light and refreshing but they are all full of sugar wish there were some sugar free options. Customer service was very nice and friendly, but the tea itself was a bit of a letdown. First of all, it was over $8 just for a large cup of tea, and I feel that's a bit steep. I'm used to spending about $6 for a cup of bubble tea, but I guess given there's no bubble tea shops in the area there is not much competition. I asked for some ice in my tea and usually they would shake up the drink to make it cold. Nope, my tea was incredibly warm given it was supposed to be a cold drink. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I just didn't find this to be a very appealing experience. read more

Woman named Sherry absolutely ruined the experience for my time here. I've seen her be rude and condescending up close. I usually don't like to leave reviews but it was such a put off for the drinks and desserts here. UPDATE: Hi Sherry... I don't understand why you're speaking in third person but yes, I am sure it is Sherry, haha. As I was waiting, I clearly heard people call you Sherry and you would reply. Honestly this is a small great boba spot inside of the mall. It is great because it matches the most bobas in Queens. Queens is where it's at for the boba drinks. But for Long Island, Black Pearl Bubble Tea is slaying. I usually get the brown sugar bubble tea and it does it's thing. I just wish it weren't as expensive because if you get a large that's like $10 bucks. And a medium comes out to be $8 dollars. There is no small size and what can you do with a small-- the thing will finish up in 5 minutes! Their service is top notch, sometimes their bobas be selling out too quick that you'll get frustrated when they don't have your favorite in stock. One thing I was upset about was when I found out the strawberry cheesecake drink was not halal. They say it's made of pig gelatin or something like that. Do ask for an in dept of ingredients added. Because it's better to be safe than sorry! But other than that, this place is great. read more
