Beautiful location as I was mesmerized by the decor. Great service and friendly. Got the mango smoothie which was good. Little confused because some items were not on kiosk including Vietnamese coffee.

I mean this place is a major PINK WONDERLAND! Located right on Monarch Way (ODU Campus). I can definitely see this place being the new hangout once students come back after the summer. It is SO spacious. There are about 55 seats including the BIG queen chair in the corner. So perfect for a big group of friends. I actually came in a little before opening but the staff was so nice in letting me sit inside while they were finishing up on some last minute opening tasks. There seemed to be 3 people working at opening which is 11AM. I did have to wait awhile for my order. They didn't have the boba pearls or black tea ready right at opening but this is a new spot and they are working out their kinks so be mindful! I ordered a medium Brown Sugar Black Milk Tea with regular boba pearls and the fried eggs rolls. Both were delish! The egg rolls were crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. And the sauce they drizzle over it added the perfect amount of heat. The boba was very refreshing, they let you adjust the sweetness so the taste was perfect! Definitely will be back here!

I went back to VA Beach to visit my family and discovered this new Gongcha location. Before I moved, I tried the one in VA Beach and had positive experiences with that location. This gongcha location differs from the one in VA Beach, the one in Norfolka offers snacks and food,it called FOOD PARADISE. This is a good combination because you can drink milk tea and try Asian snacks at the same store. I ordered ginger milk tea, which was delicious despite the 30% sugar. I also bought a Vietnamese baguette, dry noodle, ultimate french fries, egg rolls, steamed bun, rice bowl and some macarons to try. Vietnamese baguette: 7/10, the inside was good but the crust didn't look like a Vietnamese sandwich, which isn't bad. P/S:. THEIR BURGER BOSS IS THE

My coworkers were all so excited at the news that this place was open near ODU! Upon entry, we were met with quite an aesthetic! I also appreciated all the seating options. It's definitely a great hangout place for ODU employees and students. I did find it confusing and inconvenient that we had to order food on the touch screens to the left, and drinks to the right. There were no signs to indicate this, but luckily my coworkers let me know. The staff were friendly and our drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered the marble matcha with 50% sugar and dirty pearls and it was *chefs kiss.*

Keep in mind this location has two options of Gong Cha and Food Paradise. When you walk in, there are two kinds of kiosk to order at. The left for Food Paradise and the right for Gong Cha. Off the bat, I found that to be interesting and not clearly identified, but you can see once you start ordering which menu options are available at the kiosks. This was my second time back to this location and the first time I just opted for a boba drink and it was good. My second time around I wanted to try food options since they had a pretty large menu. Big mistake. Myself and maybe three other people had placed orders at around 12:15, and didn't get our food until ~12:40. Not a quick turn around time given that it's lunch time and not many people ordering. I had ordered the beef bulgogi dry noodles (pictured) and an order of shumai. The shumai was decent. However the dry noodles I can't even describe. It tasted like ketchup was used for the sauce of the noodles? And the beef bulgogi didn't have a nice flavor to it. The egg was also over cooked. So I'd recommend for a boba drink perhaps, but for food not so much.

Matcha cream is not sweet at all and strawberries are not quite in season I suppose I also had a drink and it was delicious. It had brown sugar, Boba, and a taro milk cap. The service is wonderful and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be back. I heard that on Tuesdays. They have buy one get one half off.

Joyu has been a very good place when it comes to producing various products. Whether it's boba tea, smoothies or coffee, they rarely disappoint. Let's see how things turned out. We were greeted by the staff once we walked in. Like many times, the decor was spotless and the vibe calm There were a few customers inside either dining in or ordering takeout. We knew what we wanted before entering so it took no time to order. I selected one of their Spring items, Brown Sugar Rose-Berry Freshmilk with brown sugar pearls, in honor of cherry blossoms for the State of Virginia. A very good drink indeed. Not too sweet and full of flavor. Some of the pearls did get stuck together (they were served hot after all), but it was no problem. Thank you once again Joyu for having us feel comfortable with much needed drinks. You'll see us again soon :)
