Roasted chestnut boba Less tapioca boba, less ice, half sweet.
    Mela B.

First time I came here, I didn't know what I was in the mood for. The owner suggested the roasted chestnut milk tea which piqued my interest as I love chestnut. Apparently this flavor is not offered at a lot of other bubble tea places, as I've found out. So it keeps me going back to Kung Fu locations! It was an excellent suggestion and I loved the bits of chestnut in my drink! Make sure to ask for the syrup to be shaken up if you go to other Kung Fu Tea locations, because I learned the hard way. The owner told me the bits settle at the bottom and if the worker doesn't shake the bottle, you don't get the chestnut bits. The owner here is super nice and knows, so I'm partial to going to the Norfolk location. I always get it with less tapioca boba, less ice, and half sweet. More than enough sweetness and delicious!

I have been on a boba kick lately and have been trying any place I come in contact with. T Mobile Tuesday was offering a $2.00 off coupon so I went afternoon on my lunch break. I ordered my usual I get from any place, matcha drink with milk and bubbles. I did take off a star because they don't have milk options. They only serve lactaid milk. I usually get oat milk. My drink was delicious. I loved the way the bubbles tasted. I will definitely go back!

Cheers to good drinks! I have not ordered anything that I did not like! And trust me....I try to order something new every time I go in :) First time going? Don't worry, the awesome staff there are more than willing to point you in the right direction. Wait time was pretty fast. But if fast is not fast enough then place an order on its app!

Saturday visit during COVID, mask required, carry out only, restrooms were open. Friendly, knowledgeable employee; guided girls through unfamiliar menu options (you may need a legend or google to lookup terms on your first encounters). Settled for 1 sunshine pineapple tea with mango balls, 1 matcha milk strike, and 1 peach oolong tea. $15 +tax/tip. Drinks were made quickly and correctly. Not knowing what to expect, daughters described them as cold drinks on a hot day; probably not something they'd crave daily, especially given the laxative after affects.

    Strawberry Milk Slush w/Tapioca Bubbles

First time ever being at a Boba Tea place and I had the best experience my friend recommended the Strawberry Milk Slush with the Tapioca Bubbles and it really hit! The only regret I have is not ordering a large. It's the kind of place you can be creative and try something outside of your comfort zone. I would come here over going to Starbucks for an overpriced drink anytime of day.

Kung Fu tea is definitely a goto if I'm not near a mom n pops shop. They're trendy, hip and draw in a crowd of just about everyone who enjoys hot or cold tea. My particular experience here was pretty average. I usually get a 50-75% reduced sugar amount and the Taro tea is my usually. The restroom facilities were closed, even to customers - not able to wash hands and my tea was over the top sweet where I was swishing sugar crystals in my mouth. I'd go again, simply because I love the chain

It's always a good time for tea! I love Boba tea and this place is the bomb! They have a TON of different flavors, a lot more than most tea shops around here. They didn't have any strawberry when we came in, so that's disappointing. But their Rosehips milk is perfectly sweet and satisfying in this 88 degree weather. Reasonable prices and short wait times- what's there not to love about this place?

WINTER MELON MILK GREEN TEA *HOT*

WARNING The addiction is REAL!!! I looove kung fu tea. I got hooked on this a while ago and crave this often. I love how you can customize your drink down to the sugar and ice levels to make your perfect cup. My go to is the wintermelon milk green tea. I have tried other flavors, taro, green tea, Kung fu milk tea, mango snow, etc however I always keep going back to my fave!! I just recently tried the hot version since it's winter time and loved it. I thought it was a game changer cause the bubbles stay soft longer. If you love bubble tea, be sure to try this spot. If you have never tried bubble tea, give it a try; it's soo good!!

COCONUT MILK TEA with tapioca & nata jelly

This was my first time here at this location. It was a Saturday afternoon. Mask required. No dine-in. Only one other person in line. I ordered a coconut milk tea with tapioca and nata fruit pearls. It was delicious! I love all their drinks I've ever had from KFT! Genius for putting one in Ghent!! Woo-hoo!!

Honey Lemonade with Aloe Jelly. (Perfect for my cold.)
    Jordan B.

Putting a Kung Fu Tea in Ghent was a godsend! This is the perfect pick me up drink place after a hard day's work. I have never came in and gotten a drink that I didn't like. The staff is always very friendly and have the perfect drink recommendations whenever I tell them how I'm feeling and what I'm in the mood for; they have never steered me wrong. During my most recent visit, Mya, who was mad helpful put me onto my new favorite drink, their Oreo Slush with extra crushed Oreos at the bottom. It's between the consistency of a milkshake and a smoothie and I've never quite had a drink like it before anywhere else. It's SO good. Overall, I love everything about this location and I'm so happy it exists.

I've only been to the Ghent location once, and haven't been able to visit their VB location. But based on the my lone experience Kung Fu Tea is an awesome place. I arrived on a Sunday night and there weren't many people there. I didn't wait long after I decided on my order, and I was in an out within 4 minutes. There were 2 people behind the counter - one person taking orders and the second one making the orders. They both rocked it out and were friendly. I don't get out to Ghent as much as I used to, and when I am in the area it's always after 10p, so I likely won't get out to Kung Fu Tea much. But for the money, their drinks are quality. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a refreshing drink and is in the area and/or willing to hit up Ghent. JV

KFT never disappoint! This location in Norfolk is so different from Va Beach. The atmosphere and customers speaks for itself. The Norfolk is more of a chill spot, a place you can have business meetings, and just take it easy. The drinks are equally good as the VB location since you will see familiar faces from VB working in Norfolk, so the drinks are perfected to your liking as usual. A great addition to the area!

For my very first visit at Kung Fu Tea, we decided to go to their Norfolk location. We've heard many good things about Kung Fu Tea so we finally give it a try. We wanted to go to their VA Beach location, but we figured that this Norfolk location is closer to us. We were fascinated on the restaurant's ambiance because it is bright and spacious. Walking inside the restaurant gives it's customers a "coffee shop" feeing. It makes us wants to sit down and stay there while we enjoy our drinks. The staff were very helpful and patient especially with me. I am not a big fan of milk teas so I normally get the "Winter-melon" tea. And lately, I have been having a hard time finding a good boba place that has just good winter-melon tea. With our servers help, she told me that I need to order just the plain winter-melon, no green tea or milk. I was really happy with her suggestion. There was also a little mishap about our order, but she fixed it right away. My winter-melon tea taste really great. The only problem I have is that they need to start serving small appetizers like popcorn chicken. I feel so full just by drinking so I feel like it would be nice to be eating while drinking tea as well. Overall, we are very impressed with our visit at Kung Fu Tea. They just need to add appetizers on their menu, but other than that we will definitely come back to visit.

The drinks are more milk than taste. I am very picky when it comes to boba and it makes me sad that the boba here isn't that good.

It had a great bite, slightly crispy, super savory with a touch of sweetness and the brisket was the savory star of the show. I added a bit of red pepper flake and it took it from a 9 to a 9.5 dare I say 10. I highly recommend checking this bakery out whether it's something as simple as a cookie or croissant or the whole pizza. There is something for everyone.

There were quite a few people working on laptops, but it didn't feel stuffy or too quiet ... just a comfortable, low-key buzz that makes you want to stay a while. I started off with an iced americano topped with strawberry cold foam. The foam itself was a little thicker than I expected (it was more "whipped cream" than "cold foam"), but honestly, it was delicious. I'd totally order it again. The flavor combination is chef's kiss. A little sweet, a little tangy, and it adds something fun to a classic drink. For food, I went all in on the Box Car Sandwich. If you love grilled cheese, you HAVE to try this. Oozy pepperjack and cheddar, crispy bacon, tomato, avocado, all sandwiched between slices of perfect sourdough. And the special sauce on the side? I could have eaten it with a spoon.
