Been a fan of Joyu since their first branch opened When I got my blood drawn at the lab I was pleasantly suprised to see they had a branch at Independence, just my luck! I ordered the Tiramisu Phin Coffee which was so good and hit the spot. I was unfortunately disappointed at the Bulgogi Egg Melt Croissant as it did not have as much meat as I would have expected. It was still pretty tasty but wished it had a good ratio between egg and bulgogi. Service was great; I was their first customer and the person helping me recommended me the drink so I was happy with their suggestion. I've been to the other location, and had to try this new location. And small cute modern decore with seating on right side of the register and window seating as well. This location is located next to Noodle Man taking their new neighbor spot. They are on their 2nd week of service. The place has a few window bar seats and 2 pairs of seating with a mini table at each. They have monitor and handheld menus. I bordered the creamy brew that have a variety of foam flavors. I opted for an iced drink - there is a hot option as well. The drink was smooth and lightly sweet as well. The cheese danish was warmed up but wasn't as warm, but tasted good. This place was really cute. The service was great. The staff member at the counter gave me the recommendation of the Creamy Thai Tea, when I asked what was good. She instructed me on how she usually gets it and helped me to tailor it to my taste. I got 50% sugar and added Brown Sugar Pearls. The drink was good. My friend got the Taro Lava and said it was also good. She said it was sweet though and she did get 50% sugar. Maybe opt for 25% or 0%, if you do not like really sweet drinks. So happy I finally got to try this new boba place out! First off, it's in a pretty good shopping location with plenty of parking. The shop was clean, airy, and modern with friendly workers. This place is better for small crowds. There were a few bar stools and 4 big chairs. If it's your first time going, be sure to get a punch card. 2nd visit, you get 20% off. 6th visit is 15% off. 10th visit, you get a free item. I said I wanted to start trying different coffee places and passed Joyu taking my dog to the vet, so I decided to give it a try. I got a caramel macchiato, because I wanted to be able to compare one of their drinks to something I am familiar with. I did not care too much for their version of the caramel macchiato. While sweet, it didnt taste like caramel at all. I also didn't like that there was no whipped cream. While I wouldn't ever get that again, they do have a variety of drinks with some unique flavors and toppings. It's a small place, more commercial than cozy. I recently visited Joyu Tea and tried the taro brown sugar lava milk tea. I ordered it at 50% sweetness, and it was still really sweet. If you're not big on sugary drinks, I'd either skip this one or order it at 25% sugar. That said, it was definitely delicious and very pretty to look at. The staff was friendly and patient while we took our time deciding. We asked for suggestions, and they happily shared their favorites and helped us narrow things down. They also offer pastries. I've had the croffle before, and it was pretty good. Overall though, the drinks are the highlight. It's a small space and more of a grab-and-go spot with limited seating. But they have a huge variety boba teas, coffee teas, slushies, and classic milk teas so there's something for whatever you're in the mood for. I had such a lovely experience coming in. I'm a huge fan of Joyu, so I had to get over to the new location. It's very little and cute. It gives lovely cafe vibes, and I appreciate that. This new location does banh mi as well, and I think that's so cool! We can in and were immediately greeted and our orders taken. I went with moonlight lychee, and my bf went with lemon strawberry tea. Both were made with fresh fresh tea, and were utterly delicious as expected with the Joyu brand! Joyu is tucked next to Noodle Man in the Haygood Shopping Center, with plenty of parking available. The shop is small but super cute, clean, and aesthetically pleasing.
