Long post regarding our treatment today from NOAHS BARK GROOMING. First let me say this was Bella's…read more4th visit there. Only had a minor issue one time prior with her coming home really scared. Well today she had an appointment at 1:00 pm for her grooming. Dropped her off at 12:45 and I was told it would be an hour, hour and a half and normally they are sooner than that and we get a call to pick her up. So instead of wasting gas coming back to the west side my son and I stayed in the NE heights. I ended up messaging through FB messenger asking about Bella and no reply (until after I picked her up). So I called and Noah was so rude and condescending and it was embarrassing as I was on Bluetooth with my son and my son kept looking at me like what the heck. I was in disbelief with the way I was being talked to. I told Noah the same as I typed here. How long i was told it would be and I was calling to check because I was concerned because of the one time Bella didn't do too well. He immediately got defensive and said they had another appointment at 12:30 that took longer than expected. I said when I dropped off Bella nobody was there and no other dogs and that should've been communicated to me that they were running behind and I wouldn't have gotten concerned if they told me it was going to be longer. All well trying to get this out of my mouth, his tone was rising with me and interrupting me. So I let him and asked him are you really taking this tone with me, I'm just checking on my dog. He first told me, he was sorry I was having a bad day, that they are busy and his son was in the back washing another dog when I dropped off Bella and didn't appreciate me calling him a liar because he is a pastor and they are having a busy day and getting ready to go to Washington (not sure what that has to do with me) I told him I never called him a liar and didn't appreciate him talking to me the way he was and also that I am NOT having a bad day. I told him if he's busy since it has been 2 1/2 hours I would go get Bella. He then said you must pay for services and I told him I will pay for what she received as I never said I wasn't going to pay. He ended the call with God bless you in a rude manner. I did talk to my son as I raise him in the church that we don't use God bless you to anyone in a manner or the tone he did. Fast forward... Pick up Bella (video in post) I recorded as I was concerned with the way he was talking to me. As you can see in some of the pictures my son is scratched up bad and I am too. In the video you can hear my son at first excited for Bella and then hear him start to cry after he got scratched. I asked about her nails being cut. The groomer a woman I will say is very nice and explained that she couldn't cut any lower on her nails. I did tell her this has never happened in the 3 years we've had her with issues with her nails. Then I get charged and the price went up. I asked if they changed the prices and they said yes, which I wasn't aware but I paid and NO I didn't leave a tip. I believe paying $47.00 was already too much for the service I received today. Back to the message I sent on fb to check on Bella. The owner then replied nicely, like nothing happened. I did write him and advise him that Bella's face was still dirty and her nails cut my son. He then denied it writing, we recognize none of that is true! I sent him pictures of my arm and my son. I am ok with my scratch but my son was scratched up pretty bad to where it made him cry, in Noah's place of business. So deny that, I sent him pictures of the scratches and my dogs face and his response was God bless you my sister we mean that! Don't use being a pastor or a christian to deny the crappy service we got. Not only was I demeaned by this man verbally, we didn't get the services I paid full price for. He also mentioned tear stains would need to be diagnosed by a vet. Well groomers would know that my breed of dog it's a natural process for them and that's why I get her groomed. Nothing is medically wrong with her. I added a picture at the end when she's been groomed and her face is clean. I will NOT be going back to this groomer for his lack of professionalism and using being a pastor to defend his business that no wrong was done here, or give him an excuse to talk to me the way he did.

I call Thursday and got an appt for the following wednesday. For 4 days I had to keep one dog inside and the other caged outside with 4 kids in our home. Not an easy task keeping a 3, 4, 6 and 9 year old to keep all doors closed to the house. Our appt was at 10am. She calls at 9:50am and I answer however there was no answer, phone issues. She calls right back 9:51am.. I answer same thing. I walk outside to call back 2 minutes later with no response so leave a message. 45 minutes later I get a call back saying Oh I couldnt reach you for directions so I turned around... Ummm I called you right back, even left a message. And you didn't try calling again the entire 40 minute drive back to Corona?? She says she had a Car phone (sorry do those still exist??) And would have to check the messages on there but had to come back to the office (the office that is 45 minutes away) to call me again.. Ummm how about calling back in 5 minutes if you really couldn't find my address? Seeing as there was a connection issue.. Not like I didn't answer the phone. NOW I have taken the day off work, have the kids home waiting around and she is NO SHOW! She said she now didnt have time to come back for our session. WOW I am appalled. I REALLY needed help with this and hope I can keep them apart until I find some responsible and professional enough to SHOW UP to their appt! FURIOUS

I just could not get my stubborn 5 pounds Yorkie to lay down, so I decided to seek some one-on-one private training with Donna. Within 10 minutes meeting with Donna, my Yorkie did "down". After daily practice, my Yorkie will go "down" on command. Once we have perfected our training with Donna, my Yorkie passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and received her certificate. We even joined Paws of Love Pathway to Hope Therapy Dog group to start volunteering within our local community. I am SO thankful that we have found Donna. I highly recommend Donna over any PetSmart and PetCo dog trainers any day. If you want your dog to be a good dog, Donna is the person to see.

Though the inside was not very nice, I know that the staff do their best to take care of the animals. The place looks pretty standard for an animal shelter, sterile and much like jail. I was glad to take my dog out of there. I'm assuming the aesthetics of the place has much to do with funding. What I really appreciate is the fact that all of the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. My partner was the one who picked out the dog and I was running from a play performance to meet her before they closed. I came right before closing time and was graciously accommodated. The shelter paid for the spaying, all vaccines, tags and microchipping of our doggy before they let her go home with us. I'm very thankful for all that. We both feel very lucky to have the dog that we got.

There was dog feces On the ground. No newspapers were picked up from the driveway about 6 papers I had bring in. There was fermenting urine in a corner of the house. Poop was left in the trash inside which I know my mother asked not to have happened. We also saw on multiple cameras the dogs not being let out for 12 hour stretches at a time. I was very clear in my intake form that I have a reactive 8 lb Jack Russell terrier who needed a daily walk while I was on vacation. I spoke with Yaroz answered clarifying questions about my dog's behavioral issues. During this conversation Yaroz could have easily declined if the company was not comfortable with a reactive. I paid for and scheduled a meet and greet. Two Weeks later I got another message from Yaroz asking to schedule and pay for a meet and greet. I politely reminded her that this had already been done, but it was if she didn't recall speaking to me at all even though we had previous conversations on the same text thread she used. Not a great start but I understand people make mistakes. When the meet and greet came, two dog walkers showed up at my door. They were both very polite but one was very young and openly admitted. She had never walked a dog before. This made me incredibly nervous. I took the dog walkers to where my dog should be walked. 3 mi away from my house. Literally a 1-minute drive on Google maps. After the meeting agreed I returned home and went back to work (I work from home). I started receiving back-to-back calls from Yaroz. She called me four times in under 5 minutes. This is incredibly unprofessional. If someone doesn't answer the phone, there's a reason. When I called her back she was very upset talking quickly in an elevated tone. She told me that I never told her I had a reactive dog or that my dog needed to be walked in a special place that required driving. I tried to explain that the driving was required because there are no sidewalks in my neighborhood in the South valley and I do not want my dog walked in the summer over hot asphalt. Yaroz continue to talk over me. When I asked what the point of her call was, she went on to say that the meet and greet had taken too long and she would more money. At that point I told her that I was not comfortable with moving forward with her service. She continued to try and explain her point of view. I ended the call by saying I was no longer comfortable using the service. This company wasted 2 months of my time and $35. Complete lack of professionalism and customer service skills. The two dog walkers that showed up at my home were delightful even though one was inexperienced. Yaroz needs to learn how to organize her calendar and talk to customers. Please don't waste your time with this company.

For the long story--our 5-month-old German Shepherd started limping, and we initially thought she had just overdone it playing. When it didn't improve, we took her to the vet and received a devastating diagnosis: severe bilateral hip dysplasia. Surgery (THR--total hip replacement) was discussed right away, but because of her age, we needed to wait until she was at least 9 months old. In the meantime, physical therapy was strongly recommended. That's when we found Ace of Paws. We had our first appointment just three days after her diagnosis. Dr. E was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough- she listened to our story and answered every question we had. I'll admit, I was skeptical at first. I had no experience with physical therapy (human or animal), and it's not cheap, but it is absolutely worth every penny. Before starting PT, our dog had a noticeable limp. She couldn't jump, get onto the couch or bed, or into the car without help lifting her back end. We started with weekly sessions that included the underwater treadmill, laser therapy, and guided exercises, along with daily at-home work. By the third or fourth appointment, we started noticing real improvement. Her gait, her comfort, everything. And it only continued to get better from there. Now, nearly a year later, she's doing amazing. If you didn't know she had hip dysplasia, you wouldn't be able to tell. She's no longer limping and can jump and move around freely without pain. Surgery has gone from "inevitable" to something we may consider much later, depending on how she continues to do. I know not every outcome will look like ours, but I truly believe Ace of Paws can make a meaningful difference no matter where you and your dog are in your journey. Looking back at where we started compared to where we are now honestly brings tears to my eyes. We're so sad to be moving away from Albuquerque, but incredibly grateful for the entire team; Tiffany, Chris, Kate, Selena, and Dr. E. Thank you for everything you've done. I coparent a dog and a cat with a friend in AZ, so I would like to make sure the pets have up to…read moredate vaccination/preventive shots. The vet clinic in AZ never carried flu shot for dogs, so I ended up looking for a place to get my dog a flu shot while they are here in NM (since it would be more convenient if they need to stay at a boarding/daycare in NM that requires flu shots). I came across Express Vet NM and their vaccination clinic. Their location is close to my place, the pricing and services offerred are clear. It was also very convenient to electonically set up an appointment with them, so I went with booking with them. On the day off, it took less than 5 min for a vet tech to come out and give my dog a flu shot. We didn't have to come into a clinic and the vet tech could just walk up to my car, get my dog positioned with my help holding him stll..and we were on our way. Very convenient! I would definitely do the same thing again should the clinic in AZ not carry some of the vaccinations we need in NM.
