We and our neighbor used them to take out a couple trees in our front yards, and in the process of…read moreremoving my neighbor's tree, they badly damaged a new planted tree in our yard. Larry told us they would replace the tree when they returned to trim some branches in our back yard a couple weeks later. Larry then texted me a couple weeks later to say he would not be coming back to trim the trees in the backyard, but would still replace the tree within the next week. He claims this trim request was after they had taken the tree down, but we have emails that prove otherwise. We were quoted before he even came out to take the tree down. He then blocked my phone number and has still not replaced the tree. All of my iPhone texts turned to green, they were blue in previous conversations, and my calls went right to voicemail when I tried to call the day following him informing he would not be coming back out but would replace the tree and when I called a week later for an update, as well as the week after that. A few weeks ago, I even tried to reach out through their website, with the information on the tree that was mangled, and he still has yet to respond. They also left a 4' branch stuck in our yard, sticking 3" out of the ground from when they fell our tree, and didn't even bother to try and remove it or let me know. Pretty hard to miss. I had to dig it out of the ground myself. I tried to text him pictures, but they went undelivered as he blocked my number. He then tries to dismiss that he blocked my number and claims that he responds to all messages, however I have screenshots of the texts and a call log on my phone that prove otherwise; not to mention the email that went unanswered through his website. They are absolutely unprofessional and an embarrassment of a company.

BUT I stumbled upon D&A on Facebook from a community group-sent them a message...they answered and came the next day for an estimate and the next day came and did the work. I had the unfortunate experience of hiring this company for lawn mowing, snowplowing and fixing up…read moremy landscaping beds. I was very disappointed in their quality of work and professionalism. In my opinion it was a very bad experience. They were supposed to trim all my bushes and trees. They forgot to trim several of them and the others were done haphazardly. They ripped out flowers that were perennials because they thought they were weeds. Many areas were missing weed barrier, even though it was in the contract. The company admitted that the job needed more mulch, but because they underbid the job and was losing money, they would not provide any more mulch. They also admitted that their workers were new and not properly trained. In my opinion they harassed us for more money because they could not estimate the job properly. The owner continously told us of a toll bill for $1800 he owed to gain our sympathy. The owner assured us that he had arborists working for him but this statement appears to be false looking at the completed project. For snowplowing, they had to be constantly called and asked when they were coming out. The company provided an expired certificate of insurance to trick me into signing a contract. They tried to tell me that a car insurance certificate would be just as good. I have a copy of the car insurance certificate the company gave me. This company has had numerous people complain about their snowplowing service, but they delete all of their negative comments and 1 star reviews off of their social media pages. This company was hired by my elderly neighbor to cut her grass. She is 90 years old and has a hard time seeing and hearing. She paid them a lot of money. They rarely show up to cut her grass. They never even provided her with a receipt for her money or a contract. Her family had to get involved to help her. They refused to bag the grass clippings after they cut my lawn even though the contract stated they would. The grass looked atrocious with all the loose grass on it. The company canceled my contract and wanted to give it to his friend. He was going to pay him a fraction of what I paid him and keep the rest for himself. The pictures submitted with this review is how this company actually left my lawn. When I explained to them that is was unacceptable they proceeded to cancel my grasscutting contract. Most businesses when they get negative reviews they get upset and do everything in their power to have the reviews removed. Instead businesses should look at the negative reviews as a learning tool to improve their business and their employees. People really do not want to put down local businesses but they most certainly do not want to be taken advantage of.
