The team was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it came to their menu and allergens. They walked me through the lentil walnut and cali burger and how to make those soy-free (remove the coconut cheese/queso). They also walked me through other options and were happy to do so, which can be rare. The Cali Burger had amazing spice and the sweet potato bun was soft and delicious. Fries and buffalo wings were on point! My non-vegan colleagues originally wanted to go elsewhere but ended up devouring their options as they couldn't say "no" when they tasted the food. Our server was really quite fantastic, but as the restaurant got busy, it became apparent that they may have been a bit understaffed. It might have been also a matter of expectation, but the food did come out much slower than we thought it would - took roughly 30 min for the food and 15-20 min for the dessert after we'd asked for it. At least everything was hot, which was really nice. Food - as far as appetizers go, the cheese board was quite satisfying! They had two clearly fresh and homemade cheeses and a bunch of other additions to the board that were fantastic. The Loc Mac and Chz was also really quite great and we kept on thinking about it well after the meal. The mushroom/walnut spread did overtake the cheese flavor a bit, but it did mix well overall. The Katsu tofu addition was not so great. No really marinated, just breaded/fried, so that was a bit disappointing. The cheesecake was fairly mediocre. The flavor of the actual cheesecake was very bland, and even the caramel and nuts were not enough to save that - it felt like it was prepared for fruit toppings in mind, not for more subtle flavors so that is one big edit that needed to be made. I added tempeh bacon and extra dressing on the side. (It didn't need the extra dressing though.) This salad is SO good! I had to force myself to put the fork down and not overeat. It's a large portion so you can share or save half for another day. (When doing this I recommend getting the dressings on the side to prevent soggy greens.) All of the ingredients tasted super fresh, and that Szechuan tofu was thoroughly marinated. Deliciousness! The tempeh (and at home avocado) that I added wasn't necessary but it sure was tasty. This salad is gluten free. SZECHUAN BRUSSELS I love me some roasted brussels sprouts so it was a must to try theirs. I added jalapeños and Hot Tempeh. I have no idea what Hot Tempeh is but I wanted to try it. Best decision ever. The dish itself is amazing. 10/10! The sprouts are saturated in the Szechuan sauce and spices, so every tender bite bursts with tantalizing flavors in your mouth. The Hot Tempeh is tempeh with a coating. It's quite delicious and it elevated an already soaring experience for me. The Szechuan Brussels dish is gluten free, but the Hot Tempeh is not (because of the breading). DUBAI CHOCOLATE CAKE Because I had to. It was NOT gluten free, but I risked it (I have a gluten sensitivity). They did have a gluten free chocolate cake and a gluten free brownie à la mode dish, but I needed that Dubai Chocolate. It was delicious. BLUEBERRY PANCAKES I ordered a single pancake, gluten free for $1 extra. So fluffy and buttery. You'd never guess it was gluten free or vegan. ROASTED POTATOES Excellent preparation and seasonings. MOCK TUNA MELT Gluten free when ordered as a bowl. It was served on a bed of spinach instead of bread. I omitted the cheese and tomatoes. It was very good and the chipotle sauce had a great kick.
