The food is great. The service is really good and the prices can't be beat. I really like the quaint atmosphere.

In search of a new breakfast place two days after Christmas, we found this diner. 13 tables in the entire restaurant. We only had to wait outside a few minutes for a table. People were constantly shuffling in as soon as a table left. Debbie, the only waitress, seemed to keep everything in check. She was very vocal and I quite enjoyed it. A chef came out to help and took our order. Quick, friendly service. The food was really good and the portions of bacon and toast were larger than usual with a standard breakfast, four pieces each. Deducted one star because my husband didn't like it as much as I did. I would return.

Another great breakfast at this friendly, cozy, family-owned restaurant! It's great that they let adults order from the kid's menu....those are the perfect portions for me! And the cooks here really understand the concept of "extra crispy bacon"!!!

We found this place an Apple Maps and decided to give it a try. We entered the restaurant such a cute little place. I loved it. Small diner with maybe 10 tables, reminded me of one of this old diners from back in the day!! The food was delicious. I had a skillet breakfast with a side of pancakes. My husband had an omelet and biscuits and gravy! I would highly recommend this pace. It does not have you fancy coffee and your boozie drinks but it's okz it has a home feeling to it. We will be back! The server was fast and was on top of everything we needed! Love these kind of diners

French dip was inedible. French fries were good, soda was good, but I guess because I was there close to closing.

Good Homestyle food and prices are reasonable. Can be a little bit of a wait, but worth it!

On our most recent experience, things appear to have slipped off. The service was still good, and…read morethe relaxed atmosphere works, even though the booth I sat in was getting a little worse for wear with a hole in the back, and a lack of support. An odd sign in the entry notes that are no longer accepting their previously issued gift certificates (wait, so you took money for these and are no longer honoring them?), but it didn't impact me. The food was where things went south. It took 30 minutes in a half full restaurant. I ordered the namesake Tattooed Dog, as I've had it before. It arrived with onion rings... 4 of them, from medium down to small. The dog was mostly warm (not hot), but withered like it had been cooking for a while. The meat was placed atop chili that was cold... cold enough to rob the warmth from some spots of the dog. The bun was a soggy mess, and none of the cheese was melted, so it couldn't have been under the heat lamp. It looked fanciful when served, but it was very underwhelming eating compared to past experiences. My wife had the chicken wrap, served with French fries. In a day and age when competitors give out fries like they need to clear an overstocked situation, it was a small handful that would normally be found in a Happy Meal from the famous clown. The wrap itself was shy on the chicken, and heavy on the dressing inside. What used to be a nice place, appears to be sliding downhill, as if the kitchen has given up. If they've checked out, so have we.

We were so intrigued by all the reviews, that we had to stop for dinner when we got in town…read more First thing we realized is that this is NOT the place to order a cocktail if you like a classic cocktail. We both tried the old fashioned and instantly regretted it. It was pink and tasted harsh. That being said, their food was good and the place was filled with families and groups of friends enjoying themselves. We tried a couple of burgers, fries and a side salad. The fries were really good - definitely worth ordering! The side salad was fresh and a nice option to have with their sandwiches. Overall, we would return for the food, but avoid the cocktails!

It's my first time here but my friend has been here a few times before and she's always had a good experience. Service is friendly and efficient considering how busy it can get in the mornings (especially on a Sunday). Some dishes can be a little greasy (the hash browns) but that's expected. The eggs Benedict were standard and nothing too special. Overall, it's dependable and affordable if you're looking for a hearty breakfast spot.

Looked online ahead of time gave him my order to find out that they don't have an up to date menu on website. That's fine, so I pick an alternate. Food, pretty good.. hashbrowns crispy and portion size nice. The issue is that my husband is not white and the staff working ignored him and gave him unreasonable trouble. First, seats him for a takeout order. Second, takes and brings food to three other patrons who entered after him. Never provided a menu to him and once other patrons food arrived he decided to go to the checkout to place our order. We will stick to other restaurants in the area as a racist establishment is not where I will spend my money or time. Have the day you deserve, Village Cafe.
