We popped in here for a quick lunch and we were wowed by the service and food! They had a great diner menu and the food was smelling good! We ordered the children's chicken strips and fries for my daughter and I ordered the Chicken Philly with a side of broccoli and I was wowed by all of the flavors. Was driving thru O'Fallon and notice a diner outside of main street. Tony's Diner is a classic spot to get delicious food with reasonable prices. One cool indication of a great spot is walking in and a large group of Veterans talking shop and enjoying themselves. They had every server laughing while they enjoyed their food I sat at the counter and was greeted quickly with a menu, fresh cup of coffee and plenty of time to see all the great items on the menu. Tony's serves breakfast and lunch so don't be shy about stopping by. I went with the traditional bacon and eggs, hash browns and a biscuit and gravy. Biscuit and gravy were scratch made and awesome. The rest of the meal delivered was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Service was exceptional and very friendly. Had such a great time, will be coming back this weekend. Came here on a weekend. It seemed popular but I was able to get a seat at the counter. I can't say I love the layout of the place, but there is a decent amount of seating at least i primarily came here for the liver and onions, since it was reviewed positively. well, that's what i ordered. it is actually a dish that seems to be served all day, so i was able to get it for breakfast. however, it's kind of a lunch dish in the sense that it comes with two sides. well, im pretty sure liver and onions are not for me. i think this place did a pretty good job preparing the dish, even though i think there was a little bit too much sauce. it's probably just not for me, even though i think they did a good job. overall i was happy with the service and think they did a good enough job. i will say the one area they could improve on is the broccoli, which was my side dish. there was way too much butter on it, which is not really necessary. i think regular steamed broccoli would have been better read more

A small place with not a lot of decor but that makes me think the focus more on the food than the ambiance. The server was fast and friendly and was very attentive. I always love a good diner. Tony's is no exception. Cindy and Chris worked the dining room quickly and efficiently. Seating guests and serving up generous portions of whatever was ordered. I took a seat at the bar and was promptly taken care of. I'm not a huge fan of breakfast. I'd take lunch and dinner over breakfast anytime. Good thing, because the entire menu is available all day. Despite only being 9am, I went with fried catfish, green beans and mashed potatoes. This made enough for two meals for me. Two generous catfish fillets, well seasoned green beans, and mashed potatoes with white gravy. The breakfast plates that were coming out of the kitchen were just as generous. The menu has something for everyone. The space is on the smaller side, and tables are first come first served. What this place lacks in space they make up for it in hospitality and some really good home cooking. read more

I recommend this place to everybody who loves food and the coffee is to die for forget Starbucks come here and drink the coffee for a half. The price food was wonderful desserts look awesome. This place was great. It is like a hometown restaurant. They are open from 6 am till 2pm Saturday-Thursday. You can eat breakfast till 2pm or choose sandwiches or Tony's specials. They have a lot to choose from on the menu. I got a skillet. It was so yummy. You get plenty of food. I have tons of leftovers. The atmosphere was so cool. They have a huge chalkboard that has the menu on it at the back of the restaurant. The wait staff was outgoing and quick to get our food and drinks. The atmosphere is so relaxing and comfortable. Pretty good place. Very small so choose your times wisely but nice to see a place with so many "regulars." We went for breakfast and would return if in the area.
