Well we went tonight for the first time since I had seen some good reviews. Well I must say our server was great but that's about all. I had beef with broccoli and fried rice. Couldn't even chew the broccoli and the beef was pretty tasteless. My husband had kung pou chicken and said it was ok but not very hot. I am new to the area. My husband and I went to Good Fortune Restaurant on Friday, June 20, 2025, to order some food. My husband got chicken fried rice which he couldn't eat due to it being extremely salty. I got Sweet and Sour Chicken. It tasted really good to me. I woke in the middle of the night so nauseous I could barely stand it. Since I only eat one meal a day, I thought I would eat my leftovers the next evening. (Not really knowing if i was suffering from food poisoning). The nausea and pain in my stomach was SEVERE. I didn't want to wake my husband so I suffered through the whole night. The next morning I suffered with extreme pain the whole day and night. Today is Wednesday June 25 and I am still suffering with stomach pain, gassy, bloating and continued nausea. We returned again to Good Fortune Chinese Restaurant today and ordered orange chicken, fried rice, and fried spicy tofu garlic with vegetables. The tofu garlic was popping with flavor! The meals were delivered hot. Service was friendly and efficient. The ambiance improves each time we come to this restaurant. First time visiting. Stopped in for to go order. Just wanted a quick sweet and sour chickens to check it out. (Also ordered spring rolls). Got home, (10 min away) opened the clam container see what appeared to be cold soggy chicken McNuggets and a container of sweet and sour sauce (definitely not made on site). The rice was hot and fine, the egg rolls were pretty awful. But, back to the main dish...maybe the worse I've ever had. While we did not dine in, the dinning area appeared new and clean. We had lunch here yesterday. The service was ok, but the food was awful. My husband and I both got beef dishes and the meat was rubbery and tasteless. It seemed like it was boiled. I also got fried rice, but it was unlike any I've ever had - just plain rice that might have been fried. As part of the lunch special we also got spring rolls which were mushy. I couldn't eat it. Great lunch menu with good sized portions. Priced right for what you get. Inside is fairly plain but that's what you expect for this type of restaurant. It's a place to grab a lunch or dinner but not a first date kind of place. The staff is the best part of the place. This is a regular place for us when we want Chinese food. The service is always good and the food is always good. But unfortunately the sizes of plates have gotten smaller. We went from large plates of food to small bowls now. This is our new way of life now. Everything smaller. I'll post a plate picture from before and last nights pics. The restaurant is bright, cheerful and very clean the staff were friendly, polite and knowledgeable about their food. The food was amazing! We have been searching for good Chinese food since moving here 14 years ago and now the search is finally over. We ordered fried dumplings, chicken sticks, bbq pork, and edamame as appetizers for the four of us, we could have stopped there as happy campers but went on and ordered pork fried rice, chicken egg foo young, and sweet and sour pork. I went there for the first time today. It was my birthda, and they started by giving me a cute light up birthday crown. Then they gave us time to order our foo. When it came out it was so quick I was amazed. The food was amazing. All three of us got different dishes and we were all amazed by how good it was especially the moo shu pork. We made an order and they were out of the takoyaki (sp) and they called us immediately and told us and subbed double of the tempura shrimp at no extra cost. Nicest people work here. Wanted to try something new and we did. My wife got a meal with jumbo shrimp and she was total satisfied to say the least. It had jumbo shrimp in it and there was plenty. They were cleaned correctly and cooked perfect. I had the the chicken chow mien and was just as happy as here. They do have a ton of Boc Choi which was ok with me, it was cut up in very small pieces which I did not care for. Still tasted the same and will be back for sure. read more

Very poor customer service, missing items with order then went to get the item next time with an order then ended up getting charge for the item! Finding out after I got home, called and the girl told me well you still have the item to get next time and only offered 10% off next order but they're out of my way and with that service I won't go back! I ordered take out last night and it was ready to go within 15 minutes, when I arrived food was piping hot. The staff was friendly as well. I am not sure why some folks are saying the portions are small? My containers were filled to the brim! Hubby liked his Kung po Shrimp but said there was too much celery. I ordered the shrimp & scallops with black bean sauce. It was good BUT I will say..not very many shrimps or scallops in the dish at all. It was mostly veggies aka cheap fillers. The shrimp and scallops were fresh and cooked properly. I enjoyed the crab Rangoon appetizer, but the sauce was a little too sweet for my liking. All in all I'd order from them again. On August 3rd we decided to eat at the Good Fortune Chinese Restaurant, the parking lot was roped off due to paving the lot. We had to park far from the restaurant and entered at 3:01 pm. The hostess refused to let us order from the lunch menu. Didn't matter that we are over 70 and wife uses walker. So we ordered from dinner menu for take out, live 9 minutes from restaurant, When we arrived home the sweet and sour pork had two tiny pieces of green peppers and small carrot slice. The fried rice was mush, no vegetables or egg in it. I never had fried rice so bland and disgusting. They actually charged a dollar more for fried rice. My wife's lo mien tasted sour and ended up in garbage. Never had a dinner from Chinese restaurant that did not include soup and egg roll. 3.5 - Disappointed. We were sat down promptly upon walking in but service fell from there. Through our 30 minutes there we had maybe 5 different waiters/staff assist us. Maybe we walked in on an off day but the food was bland. The Orange Chicken has the classic processed Orange flavor (though chicken was cooked well), rice was kind of dry (what there was of it, needed more rice to add to the dish), but the Kung Po Chicken had absolutely no flavor whatsoever - it wasn't spicy like shown on menu and there was no sauce substance on it. It consisted solely of veggies, dry chicken, and peanuts put on the plate. I had to add pepper and soy sauce to eat it because otherwise it just tasted like water and peanuts. Maybe I was expecting something more than I received but it was not enjoyable for $35 and we won't be returning. read more

The food was spot on. Everything came out hot and fresh. Crab Rangoon was a good appetizer. General Tsao chicken and rice was awesome. Our service was very good.
