These guys are amazing. they scheduled within a few days, arrived when they said they would, loaded everything from my basement, I didnt have to lift a finger. They were honest too! they estimated my stuff at being half a truck load and quoted me a price, then when they were done loading they told me that my stuff was only a quarter of a load, and adjusted the price. Just used Good Garbage today to move a whole lot of "stuff" from my house. I'm getting ready to sell my home and had (doesn't everyone?) a ton of old unneeded furniture, broken exercise equipment and more. Dan came two days ago, looked around, said they would take it all and came back today with 2 other fellows and they took it all! From broken desks to 20+ flower pots including the dirt, it was all gone in about an hour. I just pointed and they took it. Three great guys, friendly and so helpful. Use them. After accidentally getting overbooked (on their end), it took about eight emails back and forth to find a day and time that worked. But once they showed up, it was right to business. The job ended up costing me less than the initial estimate - reading the other reviews, I see it's an awesome tactic. But we also compared the estimate with having rented a dumpster to clean out some stuff a few years ago - Good Garbage's pricing was definitely competitive. After calling around to several haulers, Cole, at Good Garbage, was, not only the first to call back, but the lowest quote. They came out the next day, right on time. After looking at what I needed to haul away, he was able to reduce the amount quoted by a significant amount. They had to remove some heavy items from my basement. Worst service I've had in a while. They quoted about a week out blocking a 2 hour window. I set things up in my yard so it would be easy access and to clear out the basement. There were vermin. 20 minutes before the arrival time where I had to take off work to meet them, they said that they had to do some sort of recycling Run. After waiting so long they couldn't take my junk and wanted me to wait another few days till Friday. They are separated $250 more then the company I hired that night who arrived the next morning. I would give them a zero if I could. Nor did they care that their failure to pick up the trash or dare make it a point to prioritize need for the next day, would keep me from renting the house. I was grateful to find another company that was responsive. don't use these people if they treat you like me. Neither affordable or timely. read more

I had an old (1996) Mitsubishi 40 inch tube TV (weighs a ton+/-), (exaggerating)), (just guessing), that I needed removed from my driveway. I had contacted different companies some time ago, first Got Junk that quoted $400 because it would take 4 employees to lift it!!!! So, I let it sit, to my neighbors' chagrin, sorry! I called around recently and liking the website for Good Garbage, it was one that I contacted. Because I live in West Linn and they are in SE Portland they quoted that the minimum would be $99, only because of the distance (not the weight). First off, I was impressed that they actually answered the phone at 5:45ish and they were willing to set up a time that would work with my work schedule. They called in the morning to let me know that the truck was on it's way and when they got backed up in traffic they called again. When they arrived and seeing their size, I asked, with serious concern "Did they let you know what you're picking up?" There was NO WAY these two could lift this into their high back truck!!! Honestly, I was concerned for their safety. Boy, was I totally wrong! They ASSURED me that this was no problem!!! And they took care of it in a minute! Really, a MINUTE!! They knew exactly what they were doing! I was honestly amazed!! Later I felt guilty for my neighbors living with this giant ancient TV in my driveway, (sorry for being a bad west linner) ALSO, by minimum, that meant that I could add to the pick up because of the amount of space left available to me. I have nothing but great things to say about Good Garbage. As simple as could be. I called them, they showed up when they said they would--job done. I needed a very large dresser, a large beat up old couch and a big heavy desk to get hauled away. They had to carry these things down a long narrow L-shaped stairway and it wasn't easy. They got it done in no time, seriously. The price was VERY competitive for a licensed company--and you will want to go with an insured company for peace of mind, it's worth it. They will donate, repurpose or recycle almost anything you give them so you know it won't end up illegally dumped somewhere. Another fantastic thing about these guys is that they are available 7 days a week and work late.
