On Friday, I had a bunch of yard cuttings and junk that I needed to be hauled out of my yard (along with 2 very heavy old planter boxes). I had several people offer to do the task, and settled on a fellow who was supposed to come today (Monday) to take care of it. After the time he was due to be here he let me know he was unable to do it so I had to scramble to find someone else. I found this company Slam Dunk Junk. I gave them a call and spoke with a very nice fellow, Scott who said that they could definitely take care of this for me today!! I sent him pictures of the 'junk' and let him know what the other fellow had quoted me, and he came in right on par with that quote! All along the day, I received updates about when the fellows would be here, when they were enroute and when they had arrived. The fellows that showed up, Connor and Tony, were polite and respectful and got right to work. It took them all of about 30 minutes to clear everything out that I needed removed! It was dark, but they had headlamps on their hats and did a fantastic job!! (they even did this with a stand in truck because their regular truck blew a tire and had to go into the shop!) From start to finish this was a smooth operation, VERY well run and managed and an EXCELLENT value for the cost of the job!! This is an update to my previous review. After posting my initial review, I was immediately contacted by the Slam Dunk Junk team to remedy the situation. Everything was very reasonable and prompt with a strong sense of wanting to "get things right" for, me, the customer. We were able to come up with a solution and get the rest of the work taken care of so that the job was fully done. The team, once again was incredibly professional and handled things in a way that demonstrates that they really take pride in their business and brand. The folks at Slam Dunk absolutely won out. They really are family-owned and run, in the best way. We needed all sorts of support getting a family home ready for sale, while still grieving those we had lost. Slam Dunk provided a full-service package clearing out junk, donating and recycling absolutely everything they could, did an excellent job cleaning the house so it was ready for an open-house, and provided thorough landscaping support. They were kind, friendly, compassionate, and caring throughout. A lot of these cleanout companies either feel corporate, impersonal, or quick-and-dirty. Slam Dunk Junk was very professional. When I requested a quote, they came to take pictures, then got back to me in a couple days with a very reasonable quote. They are super friendly, and will chat while they work. No, I didn't bother them often. Haha. They cleaned up all our junk, & then raked up the little messes that were left from rotten wood.
