If any one is wondering, yes they have alternatives for dairy choice. Service was nice and courteous. Placed my order and informed they will call your name and your order will be under the stairs. There's a little table there for those confused about that statement. They have ample seating, if you want window with sun or not, and the place wasn't loud which was nice. Yummy coffee and great seating!! Service was fast and friendly. There is a good selection of coffee drinks and non-coffee drinks. I tried the banana bread latte, which is one of their August specials. It was really nice and the cinnamon on top was a nice touch. The interior is quite cozy with plenty of space to choose from to sit at. It seems like many people come here to study/work. Just a regular gal who needs her coffee sometimes. As a late breakfast we decided to pick up a light brunch. I ordered the loaded avocado toast and the banana bread latte. The toast was delicious! The drizzle of hot honey on top made this go from great to amazing! I would definitely order this again. The coffee is where I wish some things would of been a little different. I settled on the banana bread latte from the specials menu. The latte was delicious, but it deserved a different name. The banana notes lacked and made us believe that it was forgotten about. My companion and I stopped into Good Ground today after wanting to do so for a couple weeks. We were not disappointed. The shop is a very cute space on the first floor of a large house. I ordered just a regular coffee, while my companion ordered a "barista favorite"--several different selections from several different baristas. In this case, the person waiting on us was that drink's namesake. Both my coffee and her drink (some kind iced latte thing--not my jawn) were quite tasty. The space is quite charming with an interesting mix of seating options. Service was fast and friendly. The one slight challenge was parking. There's a decent sized lot next to the shop but it was packed on a bustling late Saturday morning...Good Ground must be doing something right! There is street parking nearby but choose wisely as the nearby streets can be busy. Definitely recommend as a nice spot to grab a cup 'o' joe and relax. read more

I was looking for pour-over while visiting (non-coffee-drinking) family and this local shop popped up offering single-origin drip! It was so good, nicely brewed, smooth, and flavorful! I was only here once. I was looking for a good bagel breakfast sandwhich. I did not find it. It was ok at best. Service was friendly. But on a Wednesday at 10am, there was no parking spaces left and all the tables were full. Trying to bit into my sandwich was difficult, as it was not cut down the middle. It was even more difficult when I realized the paper separating the cheese slices was still in there. It's no Ressler's bagel and deli. I'm sure the coffee is fine, and the space is cozy. Stopped by this new coffee shop for lunch! They have a very small food menu but we ordered the flat bread and frittata. Everything was delicious although the frittata was a little cold when it came out. We also got the s'mores latte and it was AMAZING. There is a lot of seating and a very nice atmosphere to work or hang out. Next time I visit I would get the breakfast sandwich. The fresh biscuit looked so good. I recommend Good Ground Coffee Company primarily for its mission which is wonderful and, secondarily, for its coffee which is unobjectionable. You have heard of gym rats. I am a coffee shop rat. I have a primary local coffee shop, a secondary local coffee shop, and a tertiary coffee shop. Because of Good Ground's Good Mission and its nearly "backyard" proximity to me, I was desperate for it to become my new primary. Who wouldn't prefer throwing money at a mission over throwing money at an individual who has become incredibly rich, slinging coffee in a community to which they give little in return? To my disappointment, it took only a handful of visits to Good Ground for me to know it would never be my primary local coffee shop. And still, I held out hope that it might make a decent secondary. Nope. Good Ground is the sort of place that if someone really wants me to meet them there, I probably will. What is good about Good Ground 1. Its mission 2. Its appearance 3. Its employees 4. There are plenty of strategically placed electrical outlets. 5. The music isn't too loud. 6. The coffee is fine. 7. Appealing-looking drinking glasses that feel good in hand 8. Ceramic cups 9. What to say about the food. I don't know about you, but when I go to a coffeehouse, I want food as much or more than I want coffee. I want good food. Savory, fresh looking, and fresh tasting soups and quiches served piping hot. Cool, crisp salads with interesting dressings and unexpected toppings. Creamy unsweetened Greek yogurt fruit parfaits made with seasonal fruit and good quality chunky granola, thick. slabs of multigrain bread for freshly smashed avocado toast. I want at least one keto offering and a couple vegetarian/vegan options. When it comes to baked goods, of course, it's necessary to provide SOME typically refined white flour, full-sugar items for those who like that sort of thing. But how about some treats that, at least, aspire to be whole foods: baked oatmeal, bran muffins, morning glory muffins, wholegrain blueberry muffins with about half of the sugar of the ones you've got now, oat bars, breakfast cookies, homemade sports bars, almond or peanut butter protein bombs, some low-sugar fruit crumbles, a real biscuity golden-on-the-outside-tender-and-flaky on the inside, ever-so-slightly-sweet scone with butter, and maybe even one gluten-free possibility. As for non-sweet baked goods, try to pair up with Ressler's Bagels in Shiremanstown for really authentic fresh daily NY bagels. Source savory tomato-basil croissants, focaccia, and artisanal bread from Raising the Bar Bakery in Harrisburg, PA. The owner of Raising the Bar is impressed by your mission and would be delighted to have your trade. (I have no vested interest in Raising the Bar or Resslers but I do know where to obtain the very best of everything that exists within a 10 mile radius.) I assume that the more Good Ground profits, the more good Good Ground can do. I spend a lot of money in coffee shops. I only wish I wanted to spend it at Good Ground. Also, outdoor seating is a must.
