The service was okay, we had a decent wait to place our order regardless of being the only ones in line, but once it was placed drinks were out quickly. The sweetest like gem in Etown! My husband frequents this coffee shop and I finally decided to tag along I was shocked at how large it is inside! The decor is so cozy - I could spend hours in there just relaxing with a nice drink! I ordered a chai and thought it was very tasty! (And I'm picky haha). Service was good. Got one latte , one brownie and one sandwich. Total was about $25. Sandwich was good, but not worth the $14. The caramel latte lacked caramel flavor. The inside is cute and cozy but has an overwhelming smell of like spices or something like holiday scent. I don't know if they do something to make the place smell or what but it was strong when I was there and the scent got on my brownie so now my brownie has a slight taste of holiday spices or whatever.... First visit today and I was impressed! Great location, nice ambiance, and kind baristas. I got an employee-developed drink with iced tea, lemonade, and blueberry-rosemary syrup. It was tasty, but quite sweet. A plain black coffee got a thumbs up from my very discerning brother-in-law, and my sister enjoyed her lemonade. I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie, which was delicious: buttery, chocolatey, and soft, each bite was consistent and comforting. Sister and BIL got the Grizzly Adams, a big bagel sandwich with all the meats. They really enjoyed it--and it smelled delicious. Two cons from this experience. First, slow service. On a Saturday morning, two folks working behind the counter seems like understaffing. The baristas were rushing and it still took 15+ minutes for a bagel sandwich to come out. Excellent!!! Such a cool place with nice decor and good coffee and snacks. We searched for a coffee shop in the Star Barn area and this place was open and sounded good. Sure happy we tried it. My wife and I both had the Ol St Nog latte, oh my goodness so good. I had a piece of coffee cake and my wife had the brownie, both were absolutely delicious. Service was pleasant and helpful. Definitely better off stopping here and supporting the small business instead of the chain shops. read more

We chose this coffee house for two reasons: They were open (novel concept!) and the name, as hubs has a thing for folklore. It did not disappoint! The service was outstanding - the owner was there my second time (yes, we've already been there twice) to answer some questions I had about their energy bites... and he personally made our drinks that were AMAZING. They stock a number of local goodies, including a chocolatier... and I won't tell you how much of that we bought... and ate. I got the baked oatmeal and was shocked it came out as a giant square... poured the steamed oat milk (you get your choice of milk & toppings) over the yummy, melty chocolate chips and it was so good I've had it twice! The gluten-free banana chocolate chip muffin was so dense I had to save it for later & had it as part of lunch. I'm sure we'll be visiting Folklore again while we're in the area! read more

The woman who took our order was really sweet. I ordered an iced hazelnut latte, but the espresso was so burnt that it tasted awful, so I didn't drink it. They were not that busy either, so it wasn't that they were rushed to make it. The brownie we got was good, and place itself is cool, but I wouldn't order coffee from here again. read more

Omg! So cute! The setting is really great... such a cool old building with brick walls and hardwood floors. Really unique drinks. I had a hot cinnamon cayenne mocha latte... my hubby had a random latte. We were both really happy with our drinks. You can taste that the coffee is high quality. I'm glad neither was overly sweet so we could really taste how good they were. They also had a variety of local treats. BTW we are willing to drive for a great experience. It was definitely worth the 20 minute drive. I can't wait to return to try more special drinks that caught my attention. read more

My sister and I stopped in on a Saturday morning to grab drinks and breakfast sandwiches. The lemonade was tasty and triple meat breakfast sandwich was good as well. There is a lot of space inside the shop as well as al fresco dining, and it is nicely kept up. Unfortunately, the Saturday we were there, the shop was severely understaffed. The folks working were polite and working as hard as they could, but it was clear that their managers had left them understaffed. I remember this place being better in the past the it was today. The food was nothing great and the coffee lacked flavor. The setting is still very cool and I love the atmosphere. The staff also weren't all that helpful. My friend and I ordered two lattes one being dairy free and staff just set down the drinks and walked away without any clarification as to what drink was which. What an adorable and cozy place! My husband and I moved to Etown not too long ago and we decided to stop in. He got a pumpkin spiced latte and I got a chai latte. We got two espressos to sip on while we waited for our iced lattes. We ended up drinking our espresso and stayed for an hour, maybe a little longer..it just felt like we were hanging out at home. The environment is so welcoming and comfortable with all the couches and comfortable seating. And there is a lot of area to sit. If you're concerned about social distancing..you'll be more than comfortable inside. The espresso was amazing I'll give that a 4 out of 5. The iced lattes were also bomb..I got a hazelnut with skim ( they only non dairy is oat milk). Also...I'm a trans man, and felt totally comfortable and safe walking in and hanging out in here. Super cute coffee shop! Love the comfy couches and chairs. Tons of seating in general. Service was excellent! The gentleman making sandwiches knew my name without even meeting me, he listened to the cashier with each customer so he knew who to bring the orders to without asking. My iced Chai Tea Latte with Oat Milk was delicious. Great chai flavor. My Grace O'Malley open face sandwich was even better! Very cute location! Right in the corner of the town with great indoor and outdoor seating. Not very strong coffee. I went here on a date, it was a very great location for that. We sat outside and chatted away. Inside there are a lot of cute seating and even room for a band. I would have liked to try one of the delicious looking treats but decided on an iced americano. It wasn't the strong expresso I was hoping for. My date ordered a decaf latte, which looked like straight cream! My experience is during COVID restrictions so the seating areas have been down sized and the experience is not the same. I was a little shocked that employees were not wearing masks. Lots of variety in drinks including seasonal items, and a well rounded food menu featuring not just the standard pastry fair but also some lovely breakfast sandwiches and such. As expected in any 5 star review I'd give for a coffee shop, this has quality velvety foam poured in unique patterns, the espresso stands out, and flavors are not overpowering, but definitely present. It was *slightly* cooler than I expected (probably around 130 degrees), and had this been my first time it might have counted against them, but this hasn't happened before so I'll give a pass. Spent two hours here on 8/3, Saturday. Parking is metered Mon-Sat and only accepts dimes and nickels - thankfully they have a tray with free change for the meters. Nice touch, given they are right in downtown and there seems to be no where else to park. Great ambiance; it's a huge space with ample seating - large tables, couches, bar height tables, etc. The coffee left a lot to be desired. I had 2 iced coffees and a double espresso. The iced coffee was okay and the espresso was almost undrinkable - bitter and burnt. Tried adding Stevia, but didn't help. Atmosphere and ambiance sets you up for a good coffee experience, but I was disappointed. I cannot speak to their speciality drinks and food, as I didn't try any of those. read more

Stopped here on our way to Delaware from Pittsburgh. We were able to find cheap meter parking close by and made our way into the relatively large cafe. It was busy but our order was taken quickly. You order here just like you would at Panera...they give you a playing card to set on your table so the food runner knows your order. I got a coffee and the Shire panini. My fiancé had a wrap...I can't remember exactly which one. He loved his but unfortunately, the cheese wasn't melted on my sandwich and felt kind of rushed together. I know they were busy but it was honestly a bit disappointing. Maybe on a different day I would have loved it as I think this place has a lot of potential. Long-standing staple in Elizabethtown and you will usually see a crowd of college students working while grabbing a bite to eat or a coffee. That atmosphere is chill and relaxed, so you can enjoy a quiet board game, table top RPG with your friends or MTG draft without interruption. The biggest complaint that I have is they keep it unbearably hot inside! Grab a seat outside in the summer or you will roast.
