Bought a 2016 rav 4 from there in the dead of winter last year ,everything works so they said. Could not really check performance of a/c due to it being so cold out . Come first heat spell 6mos later a/c didn't work so they recharged it for nothing (big deal) but that didn't last ,brought it back they said oh that will be 1600.00 to fix. Basically screwed myself buying a 22k car from there ,oh and the rear hatch piston snapped off,and the brake calipers basically rusted out. So I wont be purchasing another car or referring others . Bait and Switch!!!! Repair was done but there was an issue following it. I called the service manager confirming the cost of estimate before continuing. They continued the repair without full confirmation of cost and without getting back to me. They locked my vehicle up and made sure it wasn't going to be given back until they received the bait and switch charge! Jason McCormick (Owner) refused to go over the issue. Beware with the weird payment option they send you. After reviewing the receipts with my accountant she said they actually charged twice for most of the repairs but it was hidden. BEWARE!! read more

I looked for this exact car for a LONG time before finding this one at an excellent price; much lower than I had seen the same car at other dealers. When I contacted Adam, he walked me through the process with an abundance of patience. (I did a lot of hemming and hawing just because this was a big investment for me!) Maybe buy your next used car here but do not use their repair shop. When you bring in your car for a routine service like an oil change they will undoubtedly find some other "issue". But say you bring in your car for an actual problem - their quote will be much higher than other garages, including higher labor costs. Always ask for an estimate before agreeing to the work there. Our own experience had a happy ending because we brought our car to a reliable, honest mechanic who completed the same work for a savings of over $400 dollars after getting a quote from Good Guys. Maybe I'm wrong but they seem to take advantage of customers who APPEAR to be less than knowledgeable about car maintenance (like women) and charge inflated prices. We don't go here anymore, even for routine maintenance. But don't take my word for it. Do this- bring in your car for maintenance to Good Guys and get a quote. Do not agree to the work until you bring your car to another garage and get their quote for the same job. Maybe our experiences were isolated but I go by the 3 strikes and you're out rule. read more

Doesn't get much better than these guys. I saw a car online and decided to contact the dealership about it. I live in Chicago so I was hesitant to purchase a car out of state without getting a chance to drive it or look at it besides in pictures. Jason made my car buying experience easy and painless. Jason did a walk through over the car to describe everything about the vehicle and left nothing out. Jason also arranged for one of his employees to pick us up from the airport. When I showed up at the dealer the car was exactly how it was described to me over the phone. They even put on new front brakes, windshield wipers and a full tank a gas. I had told Jason prior that I wanted to take the car to a nearby shop to get an inspection and he agreed it's better to get another set of eyes on the vehicle to get a better piece of mind. When I got to the dealer he filled out a loaner agreement to allow me to take the car to the shop as well as a test drive before everything was signed. They are honest and genuinely nice people. Brought my 2011 WRX in for a clutch replacement (less then a 5hr job) got a call near the end of the day saying mid day the next day. Knowing how long the job takes makes me think it wasn't the "trouble" some bolts were giving them that was the issue. It was that they hadn't even started working on my car. This is what I suspected and turned out to be the case when I drove down to check on it. I told Ray that if I'd have known that I would have brought it the next day. Now I'm two days without a car and had to call out of work for the next day. Let's see if they redeem themselves in anyway and maybe I'll change my rating. So far, I'm not impressed. They stayed late the next day to finish it up as I had to travel for work the next day. That was nice. Except he told me he'd charge me cost on the fly wheel... Their is no way it cost 300+ for that part. If it did I'd be very surprised. Running smooth though. read more

Great first experience with Good Guys Auto House. Took my car in for an oil change and squeaking brakes. Dean told me that I could probably get a few more miles out of the brakes because the squeaks were caused by hotspots and the pads still had some life left. Appreciated his honesty and opted to get new brakes done anyway. I also had an oil change, tire rotation and cabin/air filters replaced. Honest, dependable and pleasure to deal with. I recently had my car break down and had it towed to Goodguys. I was not sure where to bring it, I had a feeling it was the transmission (no reverse was a clue) I spoke with them on Monday and they were very professional. Within hours they diagnosed a bad transmission and found that it was covered under warranty from the manufacturer. WARNING TO ALL -  DON'T GO TO JASON MCCORMICK AND GOOD GUYS AUTOHOUSE;  CAR WAS RUINED!!   COMPLAINT against Jason McCormick  Good Guys Auto House ,INC. in Southington, CT.   Been a happy loyal customer of Good Guys Auto House, INC. in Southington, CT. for over 7 years   When picking my car up on a Friday evening  after a major  +$1,750.00  repair bill.   The car was properly repaired  -  however  I noticed a strange substance on the hood of the car.   A substance had been smeared on  the car's hood directly on the center of the car's hood. Over the weekend, I tried to wash the substance off the car, but noted that the substance was eating away the paint off my car's hood.   Took the car to a professional auto body shop  to evaluate the damage to the hood.   Initially  the professional auto body shop wanted to try to  buff the substance off, it did not come off and  it was determined the substance needed to be tested.   After testing the substance, it was determined to be brake fluid  smeared on the hood with a rag.   The only solution, was to have the hood painted. The brake fluid was eating away the paint and going into the primer on the hood.   I called Jason McCormick  at Good Guys  Auto House and complained  that I felt the car's hood was intentionally ruined with brake fluid.   He, mentioned to me to  return the car to the shop to be evaluated.   I told him I, NO LONGER  had faith and trust in his shop, for Good Guys Auto house to keep my car safe and not further ruin my car. In other words : I felt TARGETED by Jason McCormick  and  Good Auto house  and my car had a Bulls Eye on it!   I told Jason McCormick  I had documentation from a professional Auto Body Shop detailing the damage and the tested substance found smeared on the hood.   Furthermore, the professional auto body shop that evaluated  the car, mentioned to me to NEVER bring my car back to Jason McCormick Good Guys Auto House, because they were astonished at the damage to the car. I can't say enough about this shop! I've been coming here for years. Jason is hands down the kindest, most honest guy I've ever had working on my car. I will never go anywhere else! Recently my car broke down and Good Guys was out of the tow range covered by my roadside service. I forked over the extra $50 to get it to Jason because I knew he would take care of the car. I feel a little silly for adding this review since I didn't actually purchase a car here. I was actually going to dinner at the restaurant they share a parking lot with. There are almost zero places to park that aren't the Good Guys Auto's parking. It was after hours but I saw a gentleman walking out of Good Guys and I asked him if it was ok for me to park there. He said, 'Absolutely, have a wonderful dinner!" I was blown away. Perhaps its because I live in Minneapolis and we call it parking wars where your car is towed within 5 minutes of being in the wrong spot but I thought it was so nice. Well, like other posters, I did not buy a car here. BUT I did go here to purchase a car. The trucks they have seem to fly off their lot, probably because the guys are incredibly smart, friendly and (dare I say) HONEST. I went there looking for a truck and the salesman (Jason, if I recall correctly) asked what I was looking for in a price, size, fuel efficiency, make, model... he was extremely thorough in his inquiry. He showed me a few trucks within my range, then a few outside of my range, but was honest about them and their prices. I test-drove a truck and it just wasn't for me, which he totally understood. I felt no pressure to buy, but as I was walking in, he was finishing up with another customer who had purchased a vehicle there. THAT guy seemed extremely happy with his buying choice. If they had what I was looking for, they'd get my business. Plus, they offer financing options and are full-service, so no waiting in line at the DMV for all that garbage. read more
