Disappointing event. Low turn out of vehicles on the field, swap meet on the outer track was below average, and a number of those vendors were wrapped up by 1:45 PM on Friday. Admission and concessions were way overpriced for the quality of the event. read more

We got charged for tickets, no mention they would charge for $12 for parking, $45 for a 2 chicken sandwiches and a fry, and $10 beers. When I tell you the chicken "breast" was the size of a small tender.. That's not even the worst part. It was a 1.2 mile walk from parking to the cars where you walk through the massive tent that they decided not to use in ARIZONA. Instead that placed ALL of the cars outside. Here's the deal, you can't charge an arm+leg and then proceed to provide a trash product in the ARIZONA SUN. We're never coming back and will let everyone know not to come back either. We'll stick to barret Jackson. On a positive note, the cars were sick and the racing was awesome. read more

Perfect weather for a car show. Not as big a turnout as years past but still lots of cars to see. The shop tour on Thursday was fun too. The swap meet had a lot of cool old car stuff. Take a good pair of walking shoes and have some fun. read more

Cars were great but allowing Pride Security services to scream at your guests isn't ok. They had the parking signs wrong. If you follow the signs as they had them set up, you get screamed at by the extremely unprofessional person directing traffic. In probably not coming back next year, i don't want to deal with being screamed at for following the street signs. This was insane. Get it together!! read more

The Goodguys Show across the country is always a good time. The Ohio and Iowa shows are the biggest in the nation. Good times, sweet cars, and cold beers, what else could he better on a weekend afternoon in the desert. Love checking out all if the 4 wheeled eye candy. Love all the cars. They were missing a few vendors inside that I was looking forward to buying stuff from. Outside food was very good, a fair amount of options. My favorite part is the Swap Meet. It's like going back in time from my childhood !! Also always seems to have something unique that I haven't seen before and end up buying. read more

The people running the parking for the event don't know what there doing. Sent me in circles for 45 minutes. Told us the traffic control they hired is telling us the wrong way. Won't ever go back !!! We will wait for Barrett Jackson show they know how to run events. read more

This year's Goodguys SW Nationals was better than the last. It was a beautiful day out at Westworld of Scottsdale. The sun was shining, and the DJ was piping out the oldies. After hearing the weatherman forecast a near 90° day, we decided to go early, arriving around 915/930. Things were in full swing, but entry was a breeze. We purchase online early bird, so we get a better rate, and most importantly, a QR code that shortens any time at a ticket booth, or the wait in any lines. Highly recommend. The arena was nearly empty. Not many vendors, and those who showed up to peddle their wares were mostly chotchkie places. Where are all the tool and parts guys??? Most importantly, where's all the food???? Outside, there were thankfully bleachers this year to comfortably watch the course racing. I do love some burning rubber and engine growls! The crowd hooted and hollered watching the times come up on the board. Families, friends, groups of bros...and me and Mr. P. We ran through rather quickly among the fiberglass and shop-worked restos, looking for the unique garage builds (mostly of a Camaro nature). Hard to come by! Most of these guys were snowbirds who had them restored to spec, and really didn't even know a lot about what they had. We hit the outdoor food area for some sickly sweet lemonade, as we trudged the perimeter in the swap meet area. Some parts, mostly junk. Super congested with too much vehicle and golf cart activity in the pedestrian area to look comfortably. As we neared the west end of the strip, we saw some food. Is it our beloved Piggly's, roasting giant turkey legs on the BBQ? Nope. Nothing that piqued my interest. Mr. P got a fried Philly. It was like an old Hot Pocket that looked like a chimi on the outside. Gross. The outdoor vendor area was equally disappointing. No real parts people outside of Summit, Tucker, Billet and a few smaller outfits. Where was Forgeline? Where was Drag? Their banners hung on the fence as if to announce their attendance. Nada. Lots of t-shirts, Hawaiian shirts, wall signs and the like. While definitely better than covid time, not back to par with precovid time. The price hasn't changed, but the value of the event really has. Plus. $10 for parking isn't awesome. You don't even pay to park at Barrett Jackson. I'll still go every year and hope for the best, but the abysmal participation from car-related companies is sad. read more

THE GOOD The show and swapmeet was great. Lots of vendors and stuff to see very well laid out and plenty of parking. THE BAD Went and got my friend and I a beer. I paid 16 dollars for 2 beers and before I could ruffle through my change cuz I paid with a 50 dollar bill the bitch was asking me if I was going to put anything in her tip jar and wanting to know if I needed change to do so. I handed her a 20 and tipped 5 bucks. No thank you,no fuck you,no nothing. The next beer from a different location the hostess was a lot more friendly. Management needs to screen their people a little better and not hire money hungry staff who looks as if they had as many on them as they've had in them they'd be a porcupine!!!! read more

They stage a car show twice a year at Westworld. The show spans the entire main tent where the merchandise vendors are located and the lower field and lot area, where all of the cars are on display. Just don't bring a car to the autocross the staff don't like. The rules only apply only to those cars they don't favor, everyone else can break the rules. An event coordinator told us this over the phone after ticking them into thinking we had a favorite car. read more

Nov 2022: the show was fun but the parking situation was brutal and took all of the fun out of it. I thought we might run out of gas trying to exit the lot which was complete gridlock. Really stupid the way that Westworld failed to manage this. They had people there but they were all standing around while the lot looked like world war three. Any chance I had in getting my wife to another car show was killed while we attended the 2020 show in Scottsdale. Although the distant, dusty parking lot walk was no big deal, the staff was unfriendly and even surly (mask police). Lots were almost half empty Almost no access from one lot to the other. Got yelled at for attempting to cross over at the only remote crossing. Owners sleeping in their chairs. Spend your 50 bucks on something else. Zzzzzzzz. read more

We have been attending the Southwest Nationals since 2003 And the March Spring Nationals since the beginning. If you like "hot rods" you'll be amazed at the number and variety. The dedication the owners and builders have for these works of art is something to see. If you have an older American made or powered pre '72 car, bring it down. Dont worry about it not being perfect, ours certainly isn't, it's the fun, the camaraderie, the spectacle, the shear size of the show. Come! read more

Not worth the price, honestly. Unless you like seeing endless seas of fiberglass-bodied "32 Fords" with tweed interiors, and a never ending strip of muscle cars with flames, then don't waste your time. The cars are clean, nice, and as you can imagine, finished immaculately (most are), but its just such a BORING show. The owners seem friendly enough, but most are the "bought not built" crowd. Read: deep wallets and no involvement in their cars other than applying Meguiar's wax. If trailer queens, billet/chrome everything, and billionaire banker wanker builds are your thing, this is where you want to be! If you'd rather hang out with guys who actually build their cars and drive em daily and use 'em as they're intended to be used, go hit up the Pavilions in Scottsdale on a Saturday night, or a DriverMod Industries meet on Thu nights in Tempe. Just moved here in February from NYC. Had to have two BMWs tinted. Steve and his team are AMAZING! He helped me choose the tint, which highlighted the cars, but did not detract from their beauty. (2014 X6M Space Grey with Red Interior and 2013 M3 Frozen Black). I also had the Paint protection film and radar detectors installed in both cars. These guys love what they do and "excellence" is their mantra. Highly recommended. read more
