I've been to a lot of automobile museums over the years, some bigger, some fancier, but none as all-around nice as this one. As of our visit on 7/11/2026, entry prices were; Kids (0-5): FREE, Kids (6-12): $5, General Admission: $15, and Seniors (62+): $12. We visited a couple of weekends ago and enjoyed several hours of walking amongst the cars, tractors, and various displays. They offer free use of wheelchairs, which was perfect for my 93-yo mother-in-law, and free bottles of cold water which were situated outside of the various bathroom locations around the museum. I saw at least three event rooms of varying sizes, I'm sure for weddings, corporate events, etc. I believe there were about 170 vehicles on display and several of the vehicles are "hands-on", meaning you can open the doors and sit inside which provides for great photo ops and lots of fun for the young visitors. We even got to meet the owners who were cruising around in a red golf cart and stopped to chat with all the visitors. Whether you live in the Phoenix area or are visiting from out of town, I highly recommend that you check out the Martin Auto Museum. read more

Absolutely 5 stars! I'm 51 years old and grew up loving all things automotive, from mild to wild. My dad used to take me to car museums whenever we came across one, and he'd tell me stories about all the cool cars he and his friends drove in the 1960s and '70s. I carried that passion into the '80s and '90s, and now I'm doing my best to turn my two toddlers into car nuts as well. We spotted this museum on a recent trip to Phoenix and decided to check it out. What we found was, in my opinion, the greatest car museum I've ever visited. The building is huge, well maintained, and staffed by friendly people. Best of all, you can open the doors and sit in roughly 40% of the cars! That hands-on experience sets this place apart from every other museum I've visited. This may very well be the greatest car museum in America today and should be a mandatory stop for any car enthusiast. read more

A friend invited me here for a small military vehicle expo so I went with him, what the heck, I like classic cars I say to myself. The entry fee is low, the people are friendly and leave you alone and the cars are so cool you can lose your friend easily. Some of the cars are open so you can take pictures in them. I was very impressed by how well these show piece cars are taken care of. If I have any gripe it's that you don't see very many Mopars from the muscle era. I will come back here again when my buddy from LA is in town. read more

Like many others I'm a gear head (grew up in a dealership/garage and working there at 8 years old dusting cars, cleaning up after the mechanics and shagging tools) and am very impressed with this collection and the facility. The collection is now in what appears to be an old K Mart (or something similar) building and it is accessible, exceptionally clean and well cared for, and there's plenty of room for the displayed vehicles and other museum items. There are staff people roaming the floor to answer questions and just shoot the bull with you if you want. There's a good mix and variety of vehicles from old to newer, and many brands and models, both domestic and European. It's an interesting collection, and they are all well maintained (clean and dust free). You even have access to many of them, meaning you can sit in them and check out the interiors up close and personal. Very cool! They don't have everything (missing my favorite car - 56 Chevy Belair coupe), but they did have a red 36 Ford very similar to a hot rod my dad built back in the 50's. The display info boards are professionally done and very informative, and every car is presented well. Anyway, it's a very nicely done auto museum that's well worth the admission price. We've been in the valley for nearly 40 years and I didn't know this collection was here (started in 2002 I believe), and you need to go, probably more than once. read more

I was looking for a place to cool off and kill some time before a flight and glad I came across Martin Auto Museum. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and the entry fee was very reasonable. Complementary bottled water and spacious clean bathrooms. Lots of cars to look at and half of them you could open and sit in which my husband loved. The best part was the free arcade where my 1 year old ran around in for an hour and got lots of energy out. They also have a merry go round for kids. My original review is below. I am only leaving it here until I verify that the situation has been fixed, but I'm very impressed that the owner promptly saw my comment and said it was rectified. I'll add the positives from our trip here in the meantime: The staff was very friendly. They walked & rode around the building during our visit and were happy to answer questions. They encouraged our kids to be engaged. The building was very clean & laid out so well. Our kids loved the free game room. I don't know a thing about cars, and my kids were still able to have a great time and sit in a lot of cool cars. There was also a lot of interesting history on all the placards. The price was higher than other reviews indicated, but that was on me for not verifying! We found it worth the price anyway. ---------------- I'm going to say the bad right off the bat: there was a topless woman painted on an antique gas pump right by the old race cars. For that reason only, we will never go back. As a woman, that is so degrading and disgusting, and to have that around children is inexcusable. Otherwise I would have given this place 5 stars. I am so angry that I wish I could get my money back. read more

We love this spot! This is a great spot for families to visit, you'll be able to escape the weather while enjoying looking at vintage, classic and even newer cars. We also loved that they had a carousel for kids plus a small game room with arcade games that were free to play. We loved that many of the cars you were allowed to touch/sit in to take photos, it really adds to the experience especially if you are a car lover. It is crazy how many cars they have packed into this one building! Your eyes won't know where to look first, I felt like a kid in a candy shop when we entered and had to look at every single car. We took our time walking through looking at the cars, snapping some photos and checking out the rest of the car memorabilia they had scattered through out the building. I would say we were inside for about an hour and a half give or take. Every car there was in fantastic condition from the paint job to the seats themselves, they had a few cars there were only manufactured a few years ago and they also had vehicles that are now almost a hundred years old! I also like how many bathrooms were available through out the building, the one I stopped by was very clean which is fantastic considering how many people were in & out of the museum the day we were there. You can tell the owners & staff really care about the museum and keep everything in the best condition possible. We had a really good time looking at all the cars. The staff is very knowledgeable and excited to share info about any and all of the cars. A few of the cars are unlocked so you're able to sit in them and take pictures. Super clean and wonderful air inside the museum. I have visited a lot of auto museums over the years and this one was a really great stop. It honestly exceeded my expectations . This is the only automobile museum that I have ever visited where you're actually allowed to get inside some of the vehicles. That alone makes it stand out. Who doesn't want to be behind the wheel of a cool vintage car? Being able to get inside and actually feel the car in addition to looking at it just really makes the experience feel so much more personal and interactive. They have a great collection with a mix of classic cars and some very cool concept vehicles that I haven't seen anywhere else. The Ford "Spaceliner" in that metallic teal with the bubble top is straight out of the Jetsons! Everything is really well displayed, although you do come to a section where you have to make a choice on which way you want to go, so make sure that you circle back or go around in a way so as not to miss anything. Another thing that really stood out for me about this particular museum, in addition to the concept cars and the fact that they let you sit behind the wheel of some of them, was that it's really clear that the people who run this location care about their guests comfort. It was a hot day outside and just outside of the restroom they had a fridge stocked with ice cold water for guests. That might not seem like a huge thing, but to me it was really thoughtful. Even the restroom itself was nice and well maintained and little things like that go a long way for me. All the staff was really nice and the gentleman working in the sign shop in the back was super friendly and ready and willing to explain everything. He also had an adorable older dog with him and the fact that the museum is dog friendly is super important to me. Honestly, I can't think of a single thing negative or even constructive thing to say about my visit. This Museum does things right. You can tell they care about their collection and about the people walking through the door. This is definitely an interesting and comfortable place to spend a few hours and it's well worth the cost of admission. read more

Usually, my five star is reserved for the very best. This comes close enough. We arrived on a Sunday when there was a rodder show in the parking lot, which was pretty good. Inside are many many cars in excellent display. Some are available to sit in and touch, while clearly, others are marked as Don't Touch Please. This is mostly about American cars, although there are some German, British, and Italian cars. It's mostly about Detroit and the Midwest auto manufacturers. Mostly, the hoods are closed, but a few are open. This is mostly (but not all) bent towards Chevrolet, although there are many Buicks, a few Pontiacs, and Ford is represented. The Corvette dominates over any Mustang, oddly. There are older trucks and a handful of motorcycles, too. It's worth the price of admission if you're older, and a walk down Memory Lane is fun for you. It was for us. read more

If you love cars this is the place to be! They have almost 200 beautiful cars, but unlike most car museums, they actually let you sit in the cars and take pictures! There are a few very rare cars that are roped off, but most are accessible while you walk down memory lane and see these gorgeous cars from the past. There's an Indy 500 tribute in the back by the sprint cars that has some rare photos and artwork, as well as every program since 1952. I hosted my dad's 85th birthday party at the museum and his guests loved the museum! There are several meeting rooms as well as a large banquet room that are perfect for events of all sizes. read more

My husband dragged me to this car museum ...and he needed to drag me out. I was in AWE. We met Martin himself, an older gentleman who deserves so much praise. A carefully curated place (HUGE) with well-catalogued descriptions of the vehicles. HIGHLY recommended especially if you're a car aficionado. I took my boyfriend to Martin Auto Museum for his birthday, and it was honestly such a fun day. The second we walked in, it was like being surrounded by history, rows and rows of gorgeous classic cars, each one cooler than the last. What made it even more special for me was the personal connection. My grandpa was a mechanic for Ford back in the day, and being around all those cars instantly reminded me of him. It felt like a little piece of my family's history was right there in front of me, and getting to share that with my boyfriend made the whole experience even better. The place is super clean & put together very well. Since we went on a weekday it wasn't very busy, which was even better for us. We had the best time just wandering around, checking out all the details, and soaking it all in. Amazing!!! Absolutely amazing! All the cars, old, newer, classics and some timeless, you can't get enough of this place. It even has a carousel that you can ride on!!! And add to that, there's a game garage and the kids can play video games (after they are done checking things out) while you walk around and take a peek into history and what it was like to ride in a 1928 Ford model AR business coupe or a Royals Royce limousine! The people who volunteer and work here are so amazing and so thoughtful and so knowledgeable of each vehicle it's crazy. We also had a very informative conversation with Marvin who works at the museum. He knows everything about the history of the cars and trucks and we found it fascinating. Marvin is a very friendly man we truly appreciate him. He made us feel welcomed. If you are ever in the area treat yourself and family to this beautiful place. We were blown away by the amazing range of cars, many of which you can actually sit inside. It was fun reading all the detailed info about each vehicle, and you could really tell how much care went into curating the collection. My son loved the arcade area, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the museum is dog friendly for well-behaved pups. The volunteers were a highlight too. They were super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. No food or drinks are allowed inside, but they thoughtfully offer free bottled water throughout, which was a nice touch in the summer time! I want to be like Mel Martin when I grow up! My husband and I visited Martin Auto Museum during the 2025 Arizona Car Week, and it's now my favorite car museum. And I've been to many of them - including the Autostadt in Wolfsburg, the Porsche and Mercedes-Benz museums in Stuttgart, and the BMW museum in Munich. What sets this museum apart is the wide range of vehicles included and the fact that **you are invited to open the doors and sit in almost all of them**. I cannot overstate how amazing it is to open the doors of classic, rare, well-loved vehicles and to experience what it feels like to sit in them. That you can sit in so many of the cars means that there's a lot of space between each car, for which I am thankful. Other auto museums really pack them in, which can make it hard to visually appreciate the details of the cars. My husband and I spent about three hours here because we tried to read every sign and sit in all of the ones that inspired us. Thank you to Mel Martin for loving and preserving these vehicles and for making them available to the general public. Big thanks to the general manager, Joe Bridgewater, who made us feel very welcome and asked if we wanted to sit in some of the extra special cars that they have roped off. We did, and it was such a treat. I also loved that he let me ride the carousel and showed my husband how to operate it. I bet he has made a lot of visitors smile! I learned so much from the descriptive signs, especially about the history of Crosley Motors. There are a handful of Crosleys to the right of the entrance, and they were subcompact cars that were made in the 1940s and 1950s. When I think of vehicles from that era, I think of huge boats. Like Packards! (Shout out to the Packard Museum in Warren, Ohio.) Crosleys were so cute and smol and could get 50 miles to the gallon back then. How cool is that? A highlight for me was getting to sit in a BMW i8. Only about 6,500 were sold in the United States between 2014 and 2020, and no one I know was interested in paying approximately $140,000 for a plug-in hybrid. I can't believe the museum entrusted me to open the butterfly doors and sit in this beautiful futuristic spaceship. It was a dream to sit in it and pretend it was mine. My husband and I play a game where we see from how far away I can distinguish generations of Corvettes that we see out in the world. We spent a lot of time in the section of the museum that has like 30 Corvettes of all the convertibles and coupes from the different generations. Sometimes I have trouble distinguishing C2s and C3s in the wild, so it was fun to get to look at the bumpers, headlights, and taillights of a handful of different C2s and C3s while they were stationary, and to be able to sit in them, too. I loved the location in which this museum is located. The museum is located in what used to be a big box-store building, so you can see exactly how many cars you have yet to admire as you make your way through the museum. The next time my husband and I are back in Phoenix, we will make a trip to Glendale to see it all again. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't very busy. They've got a large selection of cars you can get in as well as some that are roped off/locked for looking only. There was a room of free-to-play games (arcade style pinball, racing games, etc). There was also a merry-go-round for the kiddos. We brought our 3 year old and it was VERY child friendly. This museum, was somewhat of a hidden gem. Close to 200 cars in great condition. Amazingly, with most of them, you're allowed inside the cars. The only request that the management made was to touch nothing other than the steering wheel. That made it a lot of fun. The layout is well designed. Spacious. The air conditioning was great. My friend booked the Cadillac room for her husband's Celebration of Life reception. What an AMAZING Museum & Venue! Karen & her staff were absolutely incredible in accommodating what we needed for a memorable event. The room was spacious for 75-85 people, their chairs, tables & linens are in excellent like new condition, the chafers for the hot food were beautiful. They provided unlimited ice where needed and cool beverage coolers for the mini sodas & waters. Karen, Gus & Joe checked up on us often to make sure everything was going well. They were all very attentive! They have a full size frig & freezer to store things and allowed my friend to set up the day before. As a special treat, the guests were also allowed to wander into the museum to look at all the BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC Cars. Her husband was in a Cobra Car Club so this setting was a perfect way to celebrate his amazing life. There is also ample easy parking too! We were in Glendale last week for Spring Training to watch the Dodgers play. Had a few extra hours and decided to stop off at this museum. It was amazing with such a wide variety of vintage and rare cars and trucks from the late 19th century to the 21st century. Every vehicle had information about where it came from and its history. The gentlemen that worked there were so friendly and helpful. And, there were several cars where we could sit inside of them. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I took my family to Scottsdale on vacation, and stopped by this museum with the kids. Mel Martin has opened his car collection to the public and it is a very impressive one. Lots of great cars and the way they are displayed is great. I got to meet the general manager, Joe, and he is an outstanding guy, very personable and knowledgeable. If I could give them one suggestion it would be to move the guy at the front desk somewhere else. He's not friendly at all and made us feel like we weren't welcome. Otherwise everyone else is very friendly and the cars are outstanding. I wish we could have met Mr. Martin, maybe next trip. read more

AMAZING experience! All of the cars were beautiful. It was so cool being able to get in some of the cars. Everyone there was extremely kind and knowledgeable about every car. Their passion and enthusiasm made the experience ten times better!! Right when we walked in they were welcoming. We got to meet the owner as well. I took my husband for his birthday and they kept checking in with him and even let him take pictures inside of the DeLorean!! (It was closed off) The volunteers walked around sharing so much information about the cars and we learned a lot of history. We will definitely be back especially since they told us the owner is constantly buying different vehicles and people also donate their vehicles to the museum. They had free water bottles available throughout the museum. The restrooms were clean. They had a nice gift shop with t shirts and toy cars for sell. What a wonderful automobile museum! Spacious super bright, thoughtful and attention to detail. $10 fee gains you entrance to a wonderful collection and even more wonderful that you are are allowed to touch and sit in the vehicles. The museum has immaculate restrooms which I always appreciate and will note, as so many places you go the restrooms are not clean. There is a library, gift shop and their are larger rooms that are available for hire should you wish to have a private function at the museum. The staff are truly friendly and engaging. The only thing that I would mention is that the longer you stay and walk around the museum, my eyes started to bother me. The ceiling is black with innumerable rows of fluorescent lighting. My eyesight was affected and the longer I was there the more my eyesight was affected. The super bright light seems to have a strobing effect and my eyes seem full of shadows and I felt a little disoriented. If you haven't gone, please check out this amazing auto museum, it's a wonderful place to while away the day while reminiscing and looking at cars you may remember owning or wish you had! read more
