I thought that was odd but we paid for it. We were sent to a room with my friend and I together. When it was time for our massage, my friend received a Swedish massage and my masseuse was standing on top of me. The whole time they were talking during our service. I was confused why my lady wasn't doing a Swedish massage but I let it go. I wasn't in the mood to say something. They were giggling and whispering loud throughout the session. When we're done it was time for us to leave and we gave them cash tip. The lady who I tipped raised her voice on me and demanded more. I told her that's all I had. She gave me the worst attitude and stormed off. Please do yourself a favor, there are better and professional places than this. To me it felt like they don't care about the service they provide for their clients but focused on the money. It seems like a lot of people experienced bad service here. Also the lady who stood on me for my massage was a big back so I had difficulty breathing at some parts of the massage. And she was the one who kept talking and laughing during my service and had the audacity to pop off on me for not giving her more tip. Ridiculous.

The person who worked on me didn't seem to know what she was doing at all. There was no real technique or flow, just random elbow pressure on my back the entire time. I even asked for more pressure, hoping it would improve, but she just kept using her elbows in a way that felt uncomfortable and unskilled. On top of that, she kept stopping throughout the session, which made the whole experience feel disjointed and unprofessional. What made it worse is that she didn't even massage my hands, arms, or feet, which I would expect from a full 60-minute massage. And to be clear, I didn't even get the full time. We started around 6:52 PM, and she left around 7:35-7:40 PM. That's not 60 minutes. Another thing that really bothered me was how the oil was removed. She used a dry tissue or paper towel to wipe my back, which felt rough and uncomfortable. Meanwhile, my husband's masseuse used a proper warm/wet towel on him. I don't understand why the service was so inconsistent between the two of us. I left feeling worse than when I came in. My back actually felt strained, like a nerve was irritated from the random elbow pressure. I was visibly upset and honestly didn't feel like tipping, but still left $5 out of courtesy. They are plastic and incredibly slippery when wet. Since they are not sized to the individual, it's dangerous. I slipped out of my sandals and fell down the stairs in the large Russian Sauna. This resulted in multiple abrasions and a large laceration on my forearm and I actually got stitches for the first time. Sandals have to be fixed, there's stairs everywhere here. The people in the sauna were super nice and helped me, luckily, I'm pretty fit, but it could've been really really bad. Credit to the staff for not charging me for my time there, honestly, I would've rather paid and left uninjured. There is a medium sized waiting area with couches and a coffee table and magazines. The rest room is clean and it has a clean shower. The receptionist, "Amy," speaks english clearly and articulately and is friendly. The rates are in line with all the other AMP(Asian Massage Parlor) $40 hr. + tip. They have spacious real rooms with real walls and solid doors! You will not hear other people yakking on cell phones or hear a TV playing as in other places. The rooms are large, so quiet and private. There is a small, 2"x4" glass window on the door but there is a curtain in front of it that can be closed as you dress/undress. My masseuse, "Susan," was a short, stocky Chinese woman that spoke limited english, in her 40s. Although, not eye candy I came here for a good theraputic deep tissue massage it's what she does. She started out with a lighter touch than I am use to and after just one request, "Harder." She did immediately and asked if it was acceptable and I moaned, "uh, huh" She would back off when I moaned, "uuh." See no need for english for me. I tipped her $20 so $40 +20= $60 total. I would definately return if my ATF is elsewhere. My ATF masseuse, "Sulifa," at Holiday Spa in Castro Valley is under remodelling work so I had to come here. But I would rate this place above Holiday Spa because of the private spacious rooms. The rates are the same.
