Actually, I texted and they responded right away. Lucky for me, their newest stylist Emily was available at the date and time I needed. I arrived about ten minutes early. The salon is so stinkin cute, even from the outside. Plenty of parking on the side and the back of the salon. I was greeted as soon as I entered, and my stylist, Emily was ready and waiting for me. Although all the stylists wore masks, they did not require customers to. Since I was in a time crunch, I decided to wash my hair prior to the appointment and just had Emily do a dry style. I briefly explained to Emily what I wanted, loose curls with a little bounce and she gave me exactly that. My hair normally takes forever to curl, but we were done in under 45 minutes! They were completely booked (always a good sign) except one opening 5 minutes from my call (maybe my stylist missed their lunch time today?). I was 7 minutes away and they told me that would be okay. I had an idea of how I wanted my hair but Corey really put the finishing touches on my thoughts based on the shape of my face, etc. She took her time with my cut. I never felt rushed and we had a great conversation as we went along. I really loved the end result and would return to this salon in the future. A couple of unique touches of the salon is the use of vintage makeup vanities which I absolutely loved. It seems like it gives each stylist their own unique touch and takes away the sterile copy cat stylist environment of some salons. Great experience today and I recommend them. The two girls asked me what i wanted, took a look at my hair and then went to the back. They came back with their instructor and confirmed what I was wanting. I will say that at first the instructors delivery seemed a little harsh but she was not rude. They went back to the back and mixed up color. One newer girl (I think her name was Alexa) started on my color. The instructor (Tatyana) checked in frequently. Alexa (I really hope that was her name) was so sweet and professional. For the framing around my face another student, Angel, came to help. She was so funny and friendly. She offered great tips and sweet advice to the others! I spent about 3.5 hours there so I only got a small taste of the atmosphere but the students (or up and coming professionals) were very nice and eager to learn which was so settling. I am so satisfied with my hair color and booked a hair cut for next week since I didn't have time today. I will say it does seem some are more experienced in/ or like certain things more than others so go in with patience and an open mind. The place was clean, completely up to par with any other professional place and comfortable. Prices are great. Some tips: understand these people are in training, you may hear them being corrected on technique but don't be alarmed, be patient- you chose to go to a place people are learning so it may take extra time. BRING CASH TO TIP (they deserve it and can't take credit card tips) Speaking as a student from another trade, communicate kindly and let them grow from any mistakes BUT I doubt you'll experience any bc I had such a wonderful outcome!!!!
