Chantelle Casey burned my daughter's hair off while "coloring it" and burned her scalp. Sent her away with melted saran wrap in her hair. When my daughter told Chantelle her hair was burning she only turned down the heat a little. My poor daughter trusted her to know what she was doing. Then the stylist tried to make it my daughter's fault? Last time I checked she paid you to do the coloring. This is all on you! Beware of Chantelle Casey! She did a great job the first time she did my daughter's hair but destroyed it so bad this time I could never in good faith recommend anyone to ever use her again! 9 months later and my daughter has just now been able to get an actual hair cut where there are no longer these extremely short pieces that obviously do not belong. Her cut is still shorter than she would like it but at least it is a cut that makes sense now. I hate that she had to be so uncomfortable because of how awful her hair was after she received such a terrible service. Breaks my heart for her. I should add as well that immediately after this happened the owner of the salon contacted me begging me to remove my review. Wonder how many negative reviews have been removed to save Chantel's rep? 8-15-18 Maybe "beg" is too strong of a word, but you did ask me to remove it because it would hurt the other stylists so I compromised by adding Chantelle's name to my review. My daughter was given her money back after her fiancé confronted Chantelle. She was NOT offered any money back before she left right after her hair was damaged. She was given partial bottles of product to help her hair grow back as that was about all that could be done since her hair was burnt so bad that there was not a lot of hair left. My daughter is not to BLAME FOR ANY of this. Chantelle hurt my child by burning her head and completely fried her hair OFF. The owner coming on here today and trying to say we left underlying issues out is a blatant misrepresentation and just make me more adamant to not recommended this salon at all. read more

My M.O. when it comes to hair care is to get it cut and then forget about it for at least 6 months (and by "6 months" I may or may not mean much longer). I generally hate going to the hair salon more than I dislike going to the dentist. I am proud to say that I am now a more regular salon visitor, thanks to The Loft. Aimee is fantastic, and QUICK! The Loft makes it easy for me to get in and get out, and the experience is not a painful one. The whole setup is interesting...a salon above a sporting/fishing goods store, but don't let that scare you! These are family owned and run businesses, and the family that owns them is really wonderful. If it has been more than a few months since your last cut, give Aimee a call. read more

I'm not exaggerating when I tell you it has taken me YEARS to find the perfect stylist. That is exactly what I found in Amie. I completely trust her with any crazy idea I may come up with. She has proven time and time again to be a talented professional who is committed to her clients. The salon itself is also a blessing for me! I went to this salon hoping to get a lightened balayage, two inches off and layers, as well as face framing pieces. When I left my hair looked exactly the same on one side and sloppy on the other with only one small section of my hair the color I asked for. The color was significantly higher on one side than the other. I also had to go home and tone it myself because after leaving the salon's blinding lights my hair was orange. I paid $160 for nothing, but an aggressive shampoo and a rush job. The bottom of my hair wasn't even thinned out! Least to say I was super upset when I left! I wasted so much money and I have to get it fixed! read more

Katie's been doing my hair for the last year and I'm finally done searching for a stylist who listens to and sticks to what I want, but also encourages me to mix it up a little. She's got a perfect combination of technical hair skills and creativity and will tell you honestly if something would be more flattering on your face shape, coloring, etc. All of this is tough to find in a stylist (I've learned the hard way). Men, DO NOT let Meghan cut your hair. I've had much better cuts from those who were just out of cosmetology school. Sideburns were not only uneven, they were of different thickness. I had "cut lines" in my hair on the sides--kind of jagged. The hair line on the back of my head was very uneven. She didn't even shave the hair off my neck below my hairline. Most stylists offer to trim eyebrows... You guessed it, didn't even offer... Because I didn't have my glasses, I couldn't really see the damage she had done until I got home. I know, my fault. Not only was my supposed-to-be-blunt-bob choppy and uneven all the way around, my stylist here RUINED my hair by using the razor to thin it and completely CHOPPING OFF LOCKS OF MY HAIR ALL AROUND!!!! There are huge chunks throughout my head that are cut off after an inch, two inches, just ruined. It looks like what others have seen as breakage but my hair does NOT break in this large of chunks. I wish i could give this salon 0 stars. How disappointing to trust someone with your hair and have them completely botch it. Learn to use your tools correctly!!!! read more

I went to the Loft Salon to have my hair done. I had an appointment with Megan who never showed because her daughter was sick, the time before when I went in I was given the same excuse so I explained and showed multiple pictures to a new hair dresser at Loft. Tabitha had no idea what I was talking about when I explained I wanted side fringe or side bangs, she actually cut the sides of my hair!!! The first stylist, Tabitha was new and whispered as I was paying she charged more than Megan. I had an appointment with Megan and I asked Tabitha for side fringe and my hair was completely butchered and I had to go back within 6 weeks because the grey was 2 inches long being that it was never covered to the root. The cosmetologist who had tried to help Tabitha when it was originally lopped off started cutting trying to make it better. I had given her 3 pictures of exactly the way I wanted my hair cut, then Megan came over and started cutting trying to even out what had been destroyed. I lost HALF of my hair in the front, it was so long and pretty and was past the middle of my back and all I wanted was side fringe in the front. I lost HALF of my hair. When I went to get the roots touched up I lost more hair and it was colored. The cosmetologist Morgan turned my light brown hair with blonde highlights auburn red and then "didn't have time to fit me in" to fix the roots or the color. All total I paid $320!!! for 2 visits. I always tip 20% and I even gave the stylist who was filling in for Megan, who didn't show, more than $50 dollars of beautiful hand made jewelry that I had brought in for Megan. The stylists rent their space and the owner said it would be up to the stylists to refund the money. The salon itself is very nice. Also I was left to sit with color while Morgan completely cut another client's hair during my scheduled time. She may have spent a total of 20 minutes with me. A LOT of damage can be done in 20 minutes. I was told to bobby pin the hacked off hair. I have never seen such an upscale salon go down hill so fast! Also the sinks are never clean which is disgusting and the water pressure is terrible, Morgan didn't even wash or condition my hair! I called the owner to make a complaint about the way I was treated after she said she would talk with Morgan who had yelled at me, argued with me and hung up on me on the phone. I had been more than nice to the stylists at Loft hoping that someone would eventually even it all out and get the color right or refund every penny so I could get it fixed somewhere else. I have NEVER been so upset about my. Both Tabitha and Morgan said it's JUST HAIR IT WILL GROW BACK. read more

I made an appointment for my daughter to get her hair styled for a special event. When she arrived for the appointment, she was told there was no appointment for her. After calling the main number, I was told there was some confusion that someone would do her hair. The stylist spent very little time on her hair and charged $60. My teenage daughter paid the $60 because she didn't know what else to do. She had a friend redo her hair at the last minute. I contacted the owner and received no response.
