I like that they have a good variety of equipment, from reformer to chair to springboard and TRX. I like that they are conveniently located in Kimball Junction, and so I can combine a trip with grocery shopping. There is ample parking as well, so I don't have to worry too hard about parking when I come to the classes. I use Classpass to attend classes here, and although it can get hard to get a spot in the classes, I can still attend them on less-busy days. I find that some of the classes here can be a little too "easy" so I do try to book the harder ones at the 1.5 level rather than 1.0 level. That being said, I've been doing pilates classes for many years now and take it consistently at a studio in downtown SLC that is known for doing harder pilates classes.

I…read morethought Lagree was for 25-year-old Instagram stars who drink matcha lattes--definitely not for me. When I first arrived at Peak 45, I was super intimidated--I won't lie, the Megaformer is no joke. But every single teacher was instantly warm, welcoming, and incredibly supportive, even when I needed to be reminded for the 100th time how to do "Scrambled Eggs." I still have work to do in the speed of my transitions and occasionally need the stability pole, my body quickly and visibly changed in ways I had never experienced with any other workout. For decades I have worked out with trainers, lifted weights, and ran 10ks--nothing has ever gotten me as fit as Lagree. I literally feel the strongest I ever have, which is saying something at my age. What I absolutely didn't expect, coming from the often silent world of Pilates, was how incredibly friendly the members are. It feels like a real community where we're all authentically rooting for each other. High-fives and celebration of each other's "shakes" are not uncommon. In my previous Pilates classes, it always felt like being in a middle school library where no one talked to each other. The teachers at Peak 45 are super motivating and create classes that are always fun and simultaneously super challenging. As I said, all the teachers are genuinely friendly,they'll know your name after your first class, celebrate your successes, and encourage you to do more than you thought possible. Peak 45 not only makes you stronger but also creates an incredibly supportive environment. Thank you, Peak 45, for giving me an amazing workout, a wonderful community, and abs! I have spinal stenosis, seven fused vertibraes, a slight tear in my rotator cuff and a herniated disc. I did Yoga for a while but hurt my neck and have been terrified to go back. I am pretty fit from all the cardio I do, but my core, and overall balance and tone need a lot of help. I did some research and found Alison. I told her about all my health issues, and she is very diligent about taking me through the exercises that will help to strengthen me. Pilates is different from anything I've ever done before, there is a little bit of a physical therapy aspect to the workouts I'm doing, they seem pretty simple, but they are challenging!!! Juliy pays very close attention to my physical needs making sure that pain is recognized and atrophy is addressed. My one hour sessions go by so quickly. Juliy offers a variety of exercises on the Pilates equipment that focuses on firing muscles throughout the body using resistance. I have never been sore, but I leave my sessions knowing I have had a good workout. The workout gives me a sense of well-being without compromising my handicap.
