We've been taking our dog to Good Neighbor Vet for nearly three years now and up until today, we have have had a good experience. Fast forward to today when we learned Good Neighbor Vet declined a prescription of Simparica Trio from a reputable company we've used many times. When I asked why, their response was that they don't approve prescriptions outside of their practice. However, the woman was quick to share that we could buy a 3-month supply of Simparica Trio from them instead... for nearly $70! I of course declined. So instead of being pet-focused (and customer-focused), they are money-focused, sadly. So, I had to call the company and cancel the order. Fortunately, we found another company that accepted our order of a 12-month supply of Simparica Trio for $188.00 (with coupon discount). That's $15.66 per dose versus $23.33 from Good Neighbor Vet. Went to Good Neighbor Vet yesterday with two kittens for the second of the three visit kitten package. It was a long wait in the cold, but I appreciate the service and got home prepared to leave a 5 star review. Then this morning my wife noticed a bandage on one of the kittens back legs, too tight a dug into the flesh the leg and paw is painful and badly swollen and the kitten is not playing or running around. No one said anything about a bandage needing to be removed. They just handed back both kittens in the cat carrier and said they both have a clean bill of health. I contacted their main number and they said to watch him for a day and see what happens. We will see, and I will revisit this review depending on the outcome. Of course I am upset. read more

We've been coming to good neighbor vet across two states for the last 6 years. This last year I had a baby around the time the vaccines were due. The vet said that the dogs would have to be boostered because they were 40 days late for their shots. I have read multiple articles as well as contacted their primary vet and there is NO reason for this. It is customary if the pets have surpassed 3 months to require them to have a booster but 40 days does not warrant this. To me, this seems like a cash grab. When I called to see if there was anything that could be done to rectify this issue, I was told that it was at the vets discretion. Maybe hire more ethical veterinarians then. I will no longer come to Good Neighbor Vet nor recommend them to friends or family. read more

Good value for vaccines & other basics, like flea or heartworm protection. This is NOT a service to help with illness or prescriptions. (They'll tell you to go to a vet.) We've used them twice in West Seattle & once in Burien. Generally it's a good experience with friendly staff, but the doctor in Burien in January 2019 was very abrupt, pointed out our dog's poor health conditions, told us we were medicating him incorrectly, & rushed us through even though we were second in line. A follow up: We went to a full vet clinic the next month & found out all the things the doctor in Burien alarmed us about were incorrect. read more

Last year we had a wonderful experience with the vaxx clinic at BiMart in Salem, OR. Very affordable. I explained back then that our dog (85# of lab/border collie cross) is "questionably aggressive" around other dogs and could they give his shots AT the car? They said no problem. Got him out of the car, he got his shots away from the other dogs. 100% happy. TODAY when we went again, I explained the same thing to this other vet who absolutely refused to give our dog his vaxx AT the car. AT THE CAR - NOT IN THE CAR. Vet said he was not comfortable because in 35 years of being a vet he's seen dogs get protective of their cars and "he's not about to take that risk". I replied that our dog would be outside of the car, and that I was worried about my dogs reaction to the other dogs there and their safety. He told me that if I didn't want to play ball with him, we could leave. So we did. read more

Such a great & awesome service they have. I went to my local Humane Society to get all my dogs vaccinations. The Good Neighbor Vet comes out every 2nd Fri of every month! This year has been a struggle financially. I will go without food before my dog goes without her vaccinations, exams, or even the more expensive food because it is better quality. They make it everything so affordable! I got my dog licensed with a rabies shot with for only $21. Each additional vaccination was only $10. When I went it was close to 6pm & they got done at 7pm. There was no wait at all. I just walked in. They were so nice & helped me out with everything & answered all my dog medical questions. I did ask & for the first 2hrs I guess they are pretty busy, but slow way down for the last hour. I have recommended to all my friends about the great serve Good Neighbor Vet provides! They made my dog feel at ease while doing all the things she hates to be done to her, but are necessary. read more

WARNING: Good Neighbor Vet ....Not such a good neighbor We too our 8 week old mini Aussie Shepherd to the good neighbor mobile vet clinic at coastal farm and ranch on Saturday for a well puppy exam. We were very nervous as this little girl has stolen our hearts. We brought all our paperwork. Including a very important form explaining that our puppy and her breed cannot have any medication with Ivermectin in it. (heart guard) Her breed has a sensitivity to it and her mother has tested positive for MDR1. So we made sure the tech saw this paperwork plus we verbally told her. She assured us that they do not use that medication anymore. Our visit went well and we saw the tech, the vet and her assistant. As we left they gave us a heart deworming medication and told us to give it to our puppy. Trusting them we did just that. On Sunday night we chopped up this medication and put it in her food. She refused to eat it. We tried again and she ate just a small piece. That's when our world stopped. My husband looked at the package closer only to see that they gave us heartgard. Yes heartgard and heartguard (even though they are spelled slightly different) are both the same deworming medication and both have ivermectin in it! This can be fatal to our puppy. We trusted them as they are the veterinarians. We thought we were doing the right thing. In a panic we called them at the mobile location and I was appalled at the way I was spoke to. I was blown off.. no apology.. no compassion .. no concern and no options to help me save my puppy from the unknown. I was told just not to give it to her. I explained three times that she had eaten part of it, but they offered no help. So my husband and I loaded up our 8 week old, new to our home puppy into the car and drove around to make her car sick! ( never been so happy for a dog to throw up) to our horror we saw she had eaten more than we thought. We knew we had done what Any other veterinarian would have done, which was to induce vomiting. So then we just had to wait and pray she had no side effects from the time it was in her stomach. My husband called the good neighbor vets corporate office and left a message. They called him back the next day and stated that they were not responsible as they did not dispense it to her personally. They refused to refund us for the medication or replace it with one that is compatible for my breed. They were far from compassionate or sympathetic. They offered no apologies or even a hint of concern. We trusted them to take care of our newest family member. And instead they could have killed her. We wanted to warn others!! Do not use good neighbor vet. They are the opposite of their name! read more

So, after my review I received a phone call from the business, (they had figured out who I was) and offered to send me the second dose of deworming medicine that I didn't receive at the first clinic. They did mail it to me and I appreciate that. They also sent a free nail trim. It showed me that they care about customer service. I looked over my first time invoice again and the temperature of my cat was taken, I was mistaken. I just never saw it being taken. That said I still feel that the first exam was too short, less than 5 minutes, I felt it was rushed. I am so very disappointed in Good Neighbor vet. I have used their services before and they were all right. However, they would not let me just get a rabies shot for my dog, but wanted me to get all of his necessary shots even though he's a large breed dog and is 10 years old. Instead of just having to pay $30 for a rabies shot they wanted me to pay $200 for all of his shots to keep him up to date. They want to sell packages to "save you money" but instead there are many unnecessary things that you're paying for. I have never had a vet service be so rude and mean to my dogs yet alone me. I will never go back and I hope you don't either. read more

A great idea, but not the best implementation. Went to the local mobile clinic (Monroe, WA). After filling out the paperwork and waiting my turn, I was told by the vet that my dog couldn't get all of her shots that day because 'she's too old'. (The dog is 11). She said she'd to half that day & half in 2 weeks when the mobile clinic returned to the area. That absolutely wouldn't work for me so I left. Unfortunately, I'd given up a chunk of time and was not aware the age of my dog might be an issue. 30 years of dog ownership & I've never been told that vaccinations couldn't be given all at once. In fact, my 12 year old dog had been given the full course of vaccines at a Good Neighbor mobile clinic the year previous! I've used this service in the past and it was fine. My past experience showed me not to expect any level of care or service. It's very much a production line. It was however, a quick way to get dogs vaccinated in advance of boarding them on short notice. My advice is if you have a dog over the age of 10, DO NOT expect to get all the shots in less than 2 visits. This is up to the discretion of the doc, so you may have a different experience. In their defense, I will say that I received (unsolicited) a call from their office manager who did seem genuinely concerned that I had not had a good experience. Unfortunately, she was not able to offer anything other than an apology. I've chosen not to use these folks again because I can't depend on what I'll be told by their vets. And their website doesn't even offer a FAQ section where this sort of possible situation could be addressed. Had I known in advance that I might have to make 2 trips, well I'd do exactly what I now have to do...... drive the additional 20 miles to the brick/mortar vet. read more

I did in the past recommend for less costly fees for vaccines. Over the last couple of visits it became apparent that services were slipping. A kitten package was purchased, the same Vet was seen at each of the visits. By the way who confirmed our kitty was a Male. Well surprise he is a SHE. In trying to order flea medication from Chewy.com, they were not getting any response from Good Neighbor. So I sent an email letting them know asking if they would reply. They responded to me via email saying if I wanted to order Revolution I need to do another visit and pay a $20.00 fee for the prescription. This is totally out of line, seeing at the 16 week check we were told all good until a year old. The Vet was told on this visit 8/4/19 that we would be using Revolution, simply said no problem just go on-line and order. This is it for me. read more

I Had 2 pets microchipped, and I got them up to date with vaccines. Very affordable but I guess you get what you pay for. Staff is super rude and lazy, I Filled out all the forms but they decided it didn't matter to put the correct information on their files... my name, gender of animals and birthday etc was all wrong or not in the system at all. Was a hassle getting this figured out, Chantell who works customer service is extremely rude and unprofessional. She didn't care to help at all. The vet techs and customer service (Chantell) are rude as can be for no reason. I could've walked away without paying because the cashier forgot to charge me but me being the person I am, I told her I didn't pay yet and gave her the money. I don't know, if you care more about the price then go here but if you want a good vet that actually cares then definitely go somewhere else!!! read more

These people are great. I have never been asked to pay more or buy a package. If you animals need shots best place to go and the price is right. I love this service and the vet who works here. He has always treated my pets well and loves them in the end before he lets them go. If you have had a bad experience then it might be your attitude. No matter how old your pet is all shots need to be given. They have always been kind and very knowledgeable about advise for peoples pets. What you chose to do with your pet may not fall well under their scope of care. I have never heard anyone paying $200.00 for shots. read more

We arrived at the Good Neighbor Vet vaccination site at 9:30am this morning in Port Orchard. They advertise a vaccination clinic time of 9:30am to 11:00am. From their website: "The next clinics are: Sunday, June 18 9:30 AM- 11:00 AM Sunday, June 25 9:30 AM- 11:00 AM EVERY SUNDAY FROM 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM" After we waited in line for 30 minutes and several other people joined the line behind us, they told the people in front of us and the rest of the line that they were not going to see any more pets. They said something about seeing only 35 people or only 35 pets, I'm not sure which, and that they had to be at another clinic at 1pm. It was about 10am when they did this, and the other clinic is only 45 minutes away. If they only take pets until 10am, or only see the first 35, they should advertise it that way. I am disgusted with their customer service, and will never use them again. read more

While we did have one unpleasant experience, since then we have had consistently good experiences when we take our pets to good neighbor vet. They even send us reminders when our pets are due for shots, boosters, etc. It is so convenient for us to take our pets to this mobile clinic. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait as it's first come, first served, but it's worth it for the fair prices and the care our pets receive. read more

Took my cat into the Beauty and the Beast on Sandy Blvd in Portland, OR to the goodneighborvet clinic. So impressed with the prices and services offered. The vet and the vet techs were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and quick. My cat is a growler and the tech handled it like a pro and had the shot done and cat back into the carrier before he knew what happened. I've had great experiences with going to Good Neighbor clinics. Saving the extra money is worth the little bit of wait, if there is one at all. I got all my (indoor/outdoor) cat his shots plus a dose of flea medication for $60. Quite a steal and they do also do an exam without the $40+ charge that a regular clinic would charge to just walk through the door. I always find the staff really knowledgeable and kind, and the vet even recommended that I treat my cat for herpes since he had a stuffy nose. He is 8 years old and has just always been that way, so I thought it was just how he was, but apparently he probably picked it up from his mom who was feral. He has been to several other costly vets and no one thought to have ever brought this up. He has now been on the over the counter meds for this and is doing awesome. Double FAIL. We brought our animals to get their first shots yesterday, and the clinic was too busy, so we were turned away. We arrived about 40 minutes before the end of the time and there were other dogs in front of us, so while it sucked to have wasted over an hour driving and not get it taken care of, we understood that they had another clinic to get to. We were encouraged to try a different clinic in the area. Today we drove AN HOUR to Portland to a clinic listed on their website, since it was the only one offered in our area today and these puppies need their shots.. Good Neighbor vet cancelled with the store didn't bother to notify customers. NOTHING was posted on their website about the cancellation of this clinic, they just decided they weren't coming to that location today. The store employee told me they do this a lot. I am so upset that my time was wasted twice. I will be getting vaccines elsewhere, I don't have time to deal with this kind of bs and waste my gas driving all over for nothing. read more

Took my cat in because her and one of our other indoor cats has been pulling her fur out. The vet at Spokane valley said its fleas and it sent me on my way. Well its not fleas she is still pulling her hair out. The vet wa rude and didn't seem interested I actually examining her. I will not ever go back and now I am having to make another appt for her. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. The customer service is fabulous and the vets are certified. It really is quick and I've never stood in line longer than 30 minutes. The prices are very reasonable and they have a puppy pack which I got. It came with a month of flea medicine, a toe nail trim and all the dewormer my puppy needed. It was a wonderful experience I would recommend taking your pet to one of the mobile clinics. read more
