My wife and I are incredibly thankful for the guidance and support we received from Good News Counseling. From our very first session, it was clear that Troy and Janet genuinely cared about us and were deeply rooted in biblical principles. They didn't just offer advice, they led us through scripture, prayer, and real conversations that helped heal recent and old wounds and rebuild trust. We left each session with tools we could actually use, communication strategies, prayer prompts, and things to do outside of the sessions that brought us closer together. Troy & Janet are both great counselors. I really appreciate how they focus on biblical truths again help to make small goals. They are easy to talk to. I always felt heard and also challenged. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Troy and Janet M.

Troy's experience includes serving as a Chaplain for over 25 years as well as counseling within a church setting. Troy has a Doctorate of Theology in Chaplaincy from Summit Bible College and a Master of Arts degree in Christian Counseling from Liberty Bible College. Troy is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor through the Board of Christian Professional and Pastoral Counselors. Janet's experience includes 31 years working as a special education teacher in both the middle school and high school settings. She has a passion for working with teens and young adults with Autism Spectrum disorders and helping families navigate the transition from high school to post secondary education and adult services. In addition, for the last six years, Janet has worked in private practice as a licensed clinical counselor. She has provided individual counseling for adults and teens as well as couples counseling. Janet has a Masters of Science in Counseling from NIU and is an LCPC

I have been working with a cardio vascular surgeon on varicose veins in both legs and have…read moreundergone vein ablations in both legs. Today was a follow-up wirh an ultrasound of the left leg. The doctors here also work out of the Advocate clinics near Mercy Hospital and Rush Copley Hospital. I have Dr Goel as my cardio vascular surgeon and highly recommend him. He is thorough and does great work. He cares for his patients. The nurses, techs and staff are also exceptional. If you have cardio vascular iasues, this is the place to go.

I have been going to the clinic since way before Dreyer took it over and I really have no problems…read moreor complaints and that is hard to do with a doctors office! My regular OBGYN left this summer and I have now seen Dr. Patel twice and she is so kind and understanding and really honestly listens to me. I ask questions and I have never felt rushed or uncomfortable. She also really takes the time to explain things and also save me money by sending me to a different pharmacy than I was using. I have always been lucky to have very kind and sweet nurses as well. Everyone is so caring and sincere. I do like the quick and ease of the North Aurora location, not just since I live close to it but it never seems crowed or busy like the St Charles location and for some reason I think it is cleaner also. It is a no frills office with a waiting room on the plain side. I have never had any problems making a appointment and with my annual visit I was early and so was the doctor! I do have to say I only have been familiar with the OBGYN side, and I have no knowledge of the child care side of the practice.
