Turns out he was not a LMFT or trained in EFT. He is not on either national directory. After 8 sessions he lost complete focus and awareness. When this was brought to his attention instead of using this to repair and build trust in the therapy relationship, he became defensive and blaming. When going for marriage counseling make sure you see someone who is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and certified in EFT. Not just someone with an MA., LCPC.

I don't care about the occasional sound from the outside world, my preoccupations fade, and I generally lose all concept of time and discomfort - physical or mental. She doesn't do the deep tissue thing, so don't call her if you prefer to get beaten a little. She has, however, helped me tremendously with my TMJ issues, back pain, and overall state of relaxation. Generally, I start out on my back, then get a little cranio-sacral work, then flip over for the back attention. I like to go for 90 minutes ($115) when I can, but 60 is great too (only $75). I reached out to the clinic to ask for the email address of the manager in order to discuss this with them but I never heard back.
