She does not listen to her patients and only pushes medication instead of trying to figure out the cause. She also only works with her patients via video chat, not in person. If you need to see a neurologist, make sure it's not her and make sure it's not a video chat. read more

When checking into ER staff was not reliably trained in getting the veterans information needed to bill the VA. Told me checking in and when leaving they had everything needed to bill the VA. Ask if they had the number, said they had what was needed. They didn't so the VA didn't pay for the ER visit leaving us with some cost to pay. Would not work with us for a solution. read more

was recommended this facility for a medical procedure. Big mistake was left with a useless arm and a huge bill. This was almost four years ago. January got a bill for service on 06/09/2022. My insurance had paid already leaving me no balance. i told them this to which they called me a liar. so I took it to Medicare Review Board and ultimately to the State Insurance commission. Four months later I am still trying to get my money back ( yeah like an idiot I paid them). my call go unreturned and looks like the state gets back involved in this trivial matter. Was in the ER a total of 4 times for acute pancreatitis symptoms and it cost me thousands in out of pocket expenses where no doctor could figure out what was wrong with me and thought I had gall stones. Not until the last trip, finally the ER doctor that night knew something else was up. Called IU Health Indianapolis. Shipped me to IU and they made the diagnosis. I had a pre cancerous cyst. They performed a whipple surgery procedure on me and no further issues to date. It took IU's expertise. Good Sam never followed up with me nor did they even care whether or not I was properly diagnosed or not. Only positive was the nursing staff treated me for the intense pain I had, and cared for my needs. This review is strictly on expertise and lack of follow up, and the hospital charging me for to treat me for pain in the ER and do nothing to diagnose and resolve my issue. I wouldn't go to this hospital for anything complex. Perhaps maybe a broken bone or common cold, but that's it. They don't even have a heart doctor. My dad had to talk to a doctor from Louisville over a computer monitor screen about his mini stroke. I emailed Rob McLin CEO as a patient to communicate my disappointment in Good Sam's lack of expertise to properly care for me and lack of follow up. All he had to say was I'm glad IU figured it out. The expectation SHOULD be: Hospital to have the expertise to make the correct diagnosis and charge you accordingly. Should also properly follow up with your condition and how you are progressing. Good Samaritan effectively did neither of these, and punted my issue to IU Health, which has been top notch class act. They follow up with me with actual expertise and go over my care plan and explain it to me. Good Samaritan has good nurses and care, but absolutely no capacity for anything complex and doesn't understand the necessity for actual expertise in anything. read more

My baby was getting vaccines and was supposed to get the rsv vaccine. The doctor wanted her to get it since it's such a serious thing. I show up at a nurse appointment and notice she is short one vaccine. The nurse said she was to old for the rsv vaccine. Even though the doctor said she needed it. She even said she checked with a doctor. So my baby didn't get it. Now my baby has rsv. And the doc asked why she didn't get it. I told him what his nurse said. And he said no that not true we probably didn't have the dosage in for her age. They could have told me to go to the immunization clinic or come back later. But I was told she was too old and now she has it and is really sick read more

Fun fact. It is actually cheaper to get a head MRI in Austin TX, including airfare, overnight hotel, meals, rental car, and all, than to get the same procedure at Good Samaritan Hospital. No worries though. When asked about the price gouging the response was, "We checked around and we are only slightly more than 10% higher than any of the regional hospitals so we feel our prices are in line." read more

I have birthed 4 babies at this hospital... had numerous surgeries; tubal ligation, had severe pancreatitis hense gall bladder removed, then gall stones removed, kidney stones ( 100s of them, one that was septic and almost killed me). And many other stays for one thing or another. I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a nurse in e.r. than on Aug 22, at midnight ( my 2nd visit that night, 6 hrs after my 1st) In extreme pain, crying uncontrollably. 1st visit, was not told the aftercare of soaking in epsom salt... I lost the part that tells it to soak. We are moving, so things are being packed, and missplaced. I couldn't find the section of papers that said after care instructions. Very unprofessional nurse, she snapped at me saying "you Can't be comin in here every 4 hrs", very mean, and nasty. Also, with no compassion, caring and respect, she loudly stated in a very nasty way "you need to be soaking your toes, you are not soaking them" I was not able to tell her I have gone through one whole big container and half of another, I was mortified to be spoke to like that, and unable to get a word in. Essentially, she treated me like I was a drug addict and an idiot. Bad place to go for decent treatment with nurses like that!! read more

I was taken by ambulance to the Good Samaritan Hospuif Vincennes Indians due to a seizure I had at home. I spent 3 day in the intensive care unit where I never got legitimate answers to why I was having seizures.They took their sweet time getting information to discharge me from the hospital. I had an appointment scheduled for Indianapolis IU Neurology on Monday since Good Samaritan couldn't get my diagnosis alongnwith my current prescriptions gathered or filled properly. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to any of my family or friends around the area. They've got to have the worst attendance of staff out of any hospital I've ever seen! They contradict any diagnosis or answers they give a patient. So much for gaining a a degree in the medical field. Apparently Good Samaritan hospital of Vincennes Indiana will hire anyone to work for them! ‍‍SMH! read more
