I walked around for about 10 minutes trying to find anything hockey related. I even walked around their sales people and they never asked me if i needed help nor did they look at me. I feel some discrimination when i walked in. Is it because my skin is brown? This place just SUCKS! They got a alot of great stuff but if you need help. You better looks elsewhere. I hope their corporate office looks into their practices because they surely need it.

So imagine my delight when I found out there was one down the street from my job. I was looking for weights, dumbells to be specific. I didn't want to pay full price. I remembered that PIAS had dumbbells back in the day. I called and a nice gentleman, Mike, told me they were open and they had weights. I came in around 6:30pm. They were assisting another customer so I waited patiently with my mask on. More about that later. I inquired why one set of dumbbells were more than others(not weight related). Mike said the insulated black weights are commercial grade and the iron ones are not. The iron weights are at or around $1.45 a pound and the commercials grade is $2.00 a pound. Great information and it allowed me to make an informed decision. I bought a pair of 15# & 25#. There on signs on the weights that clearly show the prices. After Mike rang up the sale, as a courtesy he carted the product to my SUV and put them in the way back. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they weren't wearing masks and didn't require masks. They did have a sign outside saying they clean thoroughly and recommended we practice safe distancing. Other than that they have great selections for baseball, cleats. Golf and workout equipment. I will be back. You can sell your unused sports equipment to them. Just call ahead first before you lug it out of storage.

We happened to shop during a sale and Florida's sales tax holiday, and we walked out completely outfitted for our trip for under $500. There's something special about shopping at a locally owned outdoor store that has been in business since 1971. The selection was excellent, but the knowledgeable personal service was what really stood out. We will absolutely shop here again. Highly recommend!

She was also an amazing listener asking for feedback, and she was very patient in finding the perfect shoe for us. In Florida now and I got a new e-bike. I just wanted street tires and tannus armor installed. I called REI Orlando three weeks ago to check on service and they said no problem, they could do that. I called again yesterday and I was told the same thing. They could do the service and to just bring it in and the shop opens at 9am. I brought the bike in at 9:15 and was told the bike shop was open but the guy that does the service didn't come in until 11. What? How is the bike shop open with no service?? I filled out the paperwork and was quoted 45 dollars for the tire swap. I left the bike and was told the shop guy would call at 11 regarding the work. I got a call at 11:05 and was quoted 270 dollars! I was also told "we don't work on e-bikes that we don't sell in the store but I will do it just this time." According to REI's corporate site this is not true. I was stuck at this point so I agreed on the price. I was told one hour and I would get an email saying to come get it. 2.5 hours later I finally called. The person on the phone went back to check on the bike and then came back on and said "what bike is it?" I said the e-bike getting the tires changed. He said, "oh the motorcycle!?" I said, no, it is an e-bike with pedals and no registration. He said. Ok the MOTORCYCLE is ready. I went into the shop and the bike shop guy seemed upset. He said, 'don't bring it back. I won't work on it again." Okay, sorry for spending money at your store. He then said "this is a moped and his bike stand could barely lift it." Oh please. I couldn't believe how rude they were after they agreed to the work and I just spent all that money. So sad I loved REI bike services in Oregon. Guess I'll find a better shop here in Florida.

Fleet Feet is a chain and offers a rewards program. Given the price of new shoes, it's easy to reach the first reward tier. The store itself is clean, small, organized, and an efficient use of the space. The selection is limited, but of good quality. In addition to running shoes, the store offers Garmin watches, insoles, running hats, shoe laces, energy gels, running shorts and tops, and the like. We parked on Independence Lane, just a few steps from the entrance. I have no hesitation returning to go through the Fit ID process and receive good service.
