One of my serving spoons disappeared this week. Not part of my stainless set, just a nice one from a yard sale someplace, but still. I hate when that happens! I decided to check what they had here, plus I wanted to let Lisa know what had caused the problem w/ my hatch. I drove down after a late lunch, parked nearby on San Pablo and walked over to the store. When I walked in Lisa was behind the counter. I watched her interacting w/ customers, obviously regulars, as she addressed them by name. She is so warm and sweet! I asked her where the silverware was and she told me. I told her that the problem had been the battery. She was concerned that the car might have broken down somewhere and I reassured her there was enough juice to run the car but not enough to raise the hatch. I went over to where the silverware was and found three nice spoons. She told me they were $1.25 each, which is a great price. I didn't look around the store but saw several things that appealed to me which I didn't need and didn't buy. When I got to the counter to pay she was going to charge me $3.75, then remembered they were having a store wide sale to clear stuff before the Holidays and that the cost was going to be $2.25, beyond reasonable! I brought them home and put them in the dishwasher. They will serve me well. read more

This place is over priced just like all the other thrift stores. Thrifting is dead. The people working there "Google" everything so you'll never get a deal. They'll even google it right in front of you. It does have slightly better prices on jeans than other thrift stores but nothing quite impressive. read more

Great shop! During my first visit, I found brand new board games I had been interested in but didnt want to buy full price. I also found a Polaroid camera with a bunch of accessories (case, lenses, film, etc). During my recent visit, I found some great 00s-style tops, shorts, and a duffel bag. Next time, I'd be interested to check out the jewelry they have at the register, like their bangles. It's a small shop, but they have some good stuff nonetheless. read more

Good Stuff Thrift Shop is small/compact, making the shopping experience a little truncated. just perused the books since i felt like an elephant in a china shop. wherever u are, u will alwayss be in someone's path/ buys: "Soldier of Democray",. Nice small place. This place has been here for years. Pros: They have plus sizes! They have a fitting room where as other places like this don't. $4-5 each item They have a $1 rack. Most importantly, some of the money goes to people with Down syndrome . Great way to use the money for. Some people that have down syndrome works at this shop too. :) CONS: One lady there wasn't very friendly, but whatever. Still a good place to shop at for a good cause. read more

I randomly entered this Thrift Store with my girlfriend the other day. As a constant Thrifter searching for gold may contain a lot of bad days, but the day I went here for the first time was not the case. I walked in and saw many different things that can be considered as "gold", not only for just my girlfriend and I but for all Men, Women, Kids, and many other miscellaneous items. Personally I found a Vintage Fendi tie, which was definitely legit and a Vintage Jansport Crewneck Sweater which mentioned the "Climb Against The Odds" campaign for Breast Cancer in 1996. All of this was a total of $3.25. The tie was only $1 and the sweater was $2.25. This was absolutely a deal and I can see myself coming back to this store soon. If you're ever in town and love to thrift, go to this place and I hope you won't be disappointed because I sure was not. read more

Many, many scores at this store! Not so much with the clothing (aside from excellent selection of scarves and old school gloves), but great cookbooks, tableware, and linens. Incredible story: I broke my "Brown Betty" teapot, and figured I'd have to actually buy retail to replace. I went to this shop the following weekend and scored another for $4 - those things go for real money! This place gets five stars just for that great find! read more

Really, I should have given them a higher rating last time. It's not their fault if I can't afford their perfectly nice clothes! I was there the other day and they had a whole rack of just cashmere sweaters. How great is that? I'm still coming for the tchochkes and have certainly found some nice ones lately. Like all other little old lady stores these days, they apparently get at least some of their items appraised, which leads to higher prices, but they do run color tag sales. If there are more than say three shoppers, it can feel a bit cramped in there, but what the hay, it's a shop well worth patronizing. Clean, polite, all that good stuff. read more

Great thrift shop, especially in comparison to the nearby Goodwill. Fair prices, high quality goods. We went here for furniture and found a great shoe cabinet, a small patio table and some coasters, all in great shape. Looked like there was some cool jewelry and decorations too. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back, and we also plan to donate things here in the future rather than crappy goodwill. We also appreciate that this store is run by an NGO. read more

I go here pretty regularly, looking for things my husband and i can sell at the Alameda Point Antiques Fair, and never find anything. I've never found any clothes there. The only things from there I have that I think are really great are a pink and orange candy dish with hot chili peppers on it, and some striped couch pillows that go great with my decor. This place is definitely worth checking out, and it's easy to do so because there's always street parking nearby, usually right in front. read more

Okay, another treasure along my favorite highway123 aka San Pablo. It is not really about the mass of items, like a Thrifttown, but the folks you are helping and the cool items (clothing, jewelery, bric-a-brac) I often stumble across here. The staff is nice and pricing is good. As noted ample street parking, but also accessible via the 72/72R or if biking just of the trail under the BART tracks. read more

Lady was very rude, and it took quite a while to get her attention or for her to even notice that I was at the counter. My items were apparently not for sale, which begs the question why put out pieces that are not for sale. She then was very annoyed that I even wanted to purchase the items and would have to put them back. Treat your customers with respect and put not for sale goods in an area that is not easily accessible. Besides this, the whole shop is in disarray, and not worth even stopping in. Take your hard earned coin somewhere else. read more

I went to look for artwork and got other housewares, instead. I got silver plated candlesticks made in England because the dishes I had my eye on had disappeared. I denied myself the Amelia Earheart brand suitcase with the violet lining. I succumbed to buying a pair of $2 earrings, cookie tins, a VHS tape of Wayne's World for $2 that had no cover, and a decanter I like the look of but have no idea how to operate. And my housemate bought an awesome chair for her room. If you're looking for knitting needles, they probably don't have anymore because my other housemate bought all twenty pairs of the ones they had when they had their 50% off weekend. read more

Teensy little place, but full of fabulous things. I found a 90's-esque Espirit bag that I got for under 10 bucks, and I've already received a plethora of compliments on it. I've just moved to the area and enjoys patronizing thrift stores everywhere I see one. So one day, on my way to Natural Food, I decided to checked out the store. There some nice items and I bought a scarf and a huge glass bowl. Since I have groceries to handle later, I asked the saleslady if I can pick up the bowl later the week. She saids its ok and she wrote down my name and phone number and stapled it on the bag. Something came up later that week and I had to be in LA for a week. So I didn't pick the bowl up. I came home last Wed and immediately went to the store the next day to pick it up. They searched the entire store and can't find it. They later told me that the bowl was put back on the shelf and was sold which is absurd! How can you sell something that was already purchased by another? Isn't it illegal? Then they told me that they can only hold things for a day which they neglected to tell me nor was posted anywhere! Anyway, I saw a nice painting and decided to purchased it. I thought they would at least credit me for selling my glass bowl, well, they didn't. I bought the painting anyway knowing that I won't go step into the store again! Oh well! read more

I used to go here a lot . I live in the city . It was always a treat to shop here . The prices were good. My vet is across the street ( eye ) . I haven't been to this place in a year. My little dog Rudi passed away last Feb. & then I was diagnosed with Brest cancer in Nov. I haven't been out that much . Today I had time & was in the area . I was shopping & was SHOCKED at the price increase . They have gone completely retail. If your a dealer there won't be any meat on the bone left . They just kept repeating over & over that it's for charity. For those of us that want a deal Don't Go There! They have a dollar rack . Today green tag , $1.00 . I get to the counter with some stuff from that rack & they saw that I had a green tag leather pants. Oh no ! They said it would be 50% off. That's bs. That's false advertising. I thought I was actually getting a deal. I was happy. Instead I had to haggle with the lady & ended up paying $7.50. Why am I haggling with her when it was supposed to be a $1.00 . I won't be going out of my way to come here any more. I give to several other charities & donate a lot of stuff. I'm bummed. To bad for me. read more

Came into this thrift shop today with my husband and upon entering noticed the security guard lingering closely to me. I ignored it at first but at the point where 90% of all patrons were in the front of the store and my husband and I were the only two in the rear where she was lingering, it was clear she was targeting me/us. I was literally carrying a wristlet and have no reason to be profiled other than being the only black people in the store. When I tried to explain to the other employees only for them to whitesplain and apologize. I'll never give them any of my money. read more

I wish I could give it more stars. I love old lady thrift stores. But some of the stuff here is over priced. Mainly the clothes, which,by the way are not from this decade most of the time. I have been visiting here weekly for ....YEARS... and feel like I'm visiting family. I have seen all sorts of people of all races, religions, colors, and ethnicities - in fact, their main helper is a lovely, warm, black woman - and have never seen anyone discriminated against. The Oct 14 2017 review was the day of the annual holiday jewelry and special stuff sale. It saddens me that someone felt they were being "targeted". Unfortunately, tho, it's that special day when they are stuffed to the gills with shoppers that they have to be extra vigilant. Stuff does "go missing" .... and I and others have been stopped before if it looked like we were headed into the back of the store, which is off limits to customers. I hope that woman comes back on a normal day to experience the good cheer. People break into spontaneous conversations on the unusual (hey, what do you think THAT's for?), beautiful, and neat things they have all the time. I've gotten some great things there on the $1 rack and shelves (like 19th century china, great jackets... oooh, my latest was a beautiful finely hand embroidered Chinese blouse), not to mention the regular shelves (antique cut crystal is my weakness). Even given the somewhat high prices at times, those prices are still well below market prices -- it is, after all, GOOD stuff. I'll keep coming back. read more
