The only drawback is there is a lot of unhoused people in the area and in the store. This in itself is not an issue. I feel compassion and sympathy for whatever the challenges are that they face. It's all complicated and difficult. I think this store maybe has a kind policy and letting people come in from the cold and rain. However, this is a review and I would be remiss if I didn't share that the store and several of its shoppers had the odor of urine and feces. That may be a factor for others contemplating stopping in there.

This is a smaller thrift shop, but it's neat, well organized. They also have a "curated" section,…read morebut I feel like the whole shop is curated. The "curated" section is more so designer brands. You can see that the staff are sorting in the back and many of the items here are high quality. There are some decent brands in the mix. Prices are overall reasonable, and they had some discounts going on. They seem to discount by color tags, and they actually take those items out and put them in a specific section so you're not hunting for those sales like many other thrift shops. There are three fitting rooms in the back that are covered with curtains. You can sign up for their membership with your contact to earn points on purchases and get notified for their sales, as well. Staff were also very friendly. Parking lot was decently sized, but if you come later, it may be a bit more challenging to find parking (some spots are designated for a nearby business and some are 15 minute only spots).

As I am told...the thrift store in Albany and (the Elmwood, Berkeley store) are run by a few paid staff members and the rest of the work is by an incredible team of volunteers. The stores always look great, are very well organized, and the staff and volunteers are all very nice! Thank you all who support these stores for helping the animals.

Today there was a different cashier who charged me 4 items when I had 3 and told me she cannot refund me despite her mistake. She was the store manager, nice, but still. This is done purposefully. I was overcharged for an item I did not buy, or something was scanned incorrectly, but I'll have to return either way to settle it. There is a parking lot but the spaces are tiny and the setup is weird.
