The company i work for hosted a full day conference here for under 100 attendees and the process could not have been easier with staff. Jaimie was great to work with and helped us to plan and prepare for our conference, ensuring we had everything from food needs to AV needs...etc. She was on location all day to make sure our event went smoothly as well. Their AV and IT staff are incredible as well. Part of that is due to the high tech AV equipment they have to ensure smooth transitions across all displays and the 4 dedicated tech professionals they had on our event day to help ease our worries. The tech guys sat through our dress rehearsals and got themselves familiar with our presentations. They even had extra laptops and tablets prepared should anything go wrong on our end. They also helped mic up our speakers in between panels that we had. I think what really stood out were the tiny details that the Apella team made sure to address as well; they matched the colors on the LED strips around the location to match our company's colors; staff made sure that guests with specific dietary needs were given their special plates immediately as food was served. Almost forgot to mention the gorgeous views. The venue itself is very modern looking with large ceiling to floor windows allowing for plenty of sunlight to come in. It made for great pictures during our reception. Definitely a one of a kind space. I cannot say enough positive things about this venue. If you are looking for an event space that has everything you could possibly need, book the Apella.

The staff was very professional yet made everyone feel at home. The drinks were good. The food was partly provided by the party host and served by the venue. There were two nice clean (slightly small) bathrooms with a shared sink. It's July so the weather outside was hot. Inside, there was plenty of air conditioning in the back room (by the dance floor) with less up front. Unlike large event spaces in Manhattan, this one had a more cozy intimate atmosphere. The location is accessible by subway and car. Alternate side street parking is available, depending on when you go - it can be a little difficult finding a free parking spot.

Tara and her team did so much to help us with price, decor and lighting which made the place really come alive. Cocktail Hour: We did a Jersey Shore table during cocktail hour which everyone raved (especially the kids). The servers were excellent, kept coming by with trays of food and very attentive to guests needs. MOST IMPORTANTLY the maitre'd was PHENOMENAL!! He greeted me as soon as I stepped foot on the premises and literally ran around helping me fix a dress issue I had, got me a cocktail to relax and had another server bring me food so I wouldn't pass out. Food: The food is was all so delicious! We picked the baked chicken and the crab stuffed fish and people all loved it. We added dessert trays at the end were filled with these ginormous chocolate covered strawberries and endless crispy pastries, at first I thought I wouldn't need it, but our cake turned out to not be that good, so it really helped. Granted, I have never been married before, but I have heard horror stories, and to be quite honest, I assumed because this is not a super expensive place I was going to get just mediocre service. Hotel accommodations: My husband family was coming from Philadelphia and mine was coming from North Jersey so this was literally the best midpoint. On top of that, it was phenomenal knowing that everyone could enjoy the open bar and safely just walk to their room. We were given a Luxury suite for free for our wedding night and had a discounted price for our guests to stay. As we walked in they had a bottle of champagne, 2 slices of wedding cake, chocolate covered strawberries and a cookie shaped like a wedding cake that said congratulations Mr & Mrs Arellano. It really was such a sweet and personalized touch. Breakfast: The couple enjoys brunch for free the next day ($15 pp), this was a nice touch, we had another mini reception in the morning with everyone walking in tending to their hangover together. The food was excellent and it is also held in the Irish Pub right on the premises, so no need to check out early.
