It's walking distance from a vibrant downtown with very nice locally owned shops and restaurants. The owners of the inn are so welcoming, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable! We felt so at home in this cozy, lovely decorated and comfortable b 'n b! The breakfasts, prepared by one of the owners (a chef!) in their own kitchen, are absolutely scrumptious and gorgeously presented. We departed wishing we could have stayed even longer. It is perfectly located just next to the lovely small town. Chris made sure we were comfortable, checked in with us morning and evening, and gave us suggestions on places to go, what to know from a local perspective and how best to get there. He is so knowledgeable about the history, culture, terrain and everything you need to know. The accommodations were comfortable, with a large closet to put all our stuff. We could not believe the French press coffee brought to our room each morning at the time of our choosing (really?!!) and then the local offerings for breakfast!! A glass of wine in the evening if you choose. The comfort and the pleasure is all right there. And I am a fussy sleeper/traveler... this was true fun. Just beautiful up there!

They switched my room to wheelchair accessible, let me use their wheelchair. I mean you usually don't come across such kind hearted people nowadays. Thank you to all staff. They did a great job cleaning and freshening the place up when they did come through... but no refills on the coffee packets or water - the front desk is very happy to help and give you the items though (just be aware). Prices were high, but that is whitefish! (Or so we were told)

The staff is extremely attentive and the lodge was perfect for our stay. Highly recommend the breakfast as well as the hot tub after a full day of hiking. Free drinks in the evening and a packed breakfast (left early for hiking) were awesome touches.
