This place is so not customer friendly. They take your money and then don't want to do anything to earn that money including cleaning their property. The customer service is horrible. It's off a highway so noisy despite the pictures, it is dirty, staff lack customer service skills. Efforts to have the place cleaned were ignored. Management was non responsive. I've traveled for 30 + years and this place is by far the worst place I've stayed. If you want a good experience don't stay here. Way too expensive. Stressful. If you want a $100 or less experience per night. This is the place for you. read more

Had a great stay here while visiting glacier ntl park. Staff was super friendly, rooms were very clean and perfect location to explore the park. They also borrowed us bear spray which was convenient as we did a lot of hiking. They also offer complimentary lunch packages which came in handy as we often left really early. We didn't have time to do some of the activities they offer, but might try them next time. There are also some dinner options close by. Would definitely come back here. read more

Beautiful resort, exceptional staff, and ideal location for accessing Glacier. 1) The stay. We stayed in a room in the lodge which was amazing. It's a peaceful lodge tucked away in a corner of the property that has a serene porch that we sat out on each night with views of the mountains. The room cleanliness was impeccable - much cleaner than any chain hotel I've stayed at. The housekeeping staff even left hand written notes for us, and went above and beyond in making sure all of the guests needs were not just met but exceeded when we needed help. You will not meet a more pleasant front desk staff who was genuinely excited to talk to you each day and answer any of your questions! The drive to the entrance of west glacier was maybe 5 minutes - perfect for quick access to the park. 2) We did the fly fishing all day tour which I would highly recommend. I would be amiss without mentioning our guide Chaney by name. He reached out to us ahead of time and was extremely kind and flexible - adapting to any requests I had to make the trip personalized. And he was amazing during the actual guide! He had us laughing, smiling and learning so much throughout the whole day. And he did it all while rowing us down rapids!! His knowledge of the local wildlife was impressive and you can tell he truly cares deeply about what he does. Not to mention the beauty of the river itself - it would have been worth it to go just for the views, and getting to fish while doing it was even better! All in all - exceptional place, I plan to re-book for my next visit in the area. read more

The best part about this hotel is the fishing guide! We did the half day fly fishing with Kay! He was so helpful, he taught a 12 year old how to fly fish within an hour and he caught an 18" cutthroat trout! Not only was he a great guide- he was a true steward of Glacier National Park. You could tell he cared about it and the wildlife that inhabit it. A truly memorable experience. I cannot wait until our next trip out. read more

My family and I stayed here for the night while visiting Glacier National Park. Gorgeous lodging with lots of activities to do, very family friendly! The wrap around balcony was nice to see the wildlife. Since we were there for only 1 night we didn't get to do the outdoor activities they had but looks like they're known for their water rafting tours. Our room was spacious for the 3 of us, and had everything we needed. There's a small coffee shop on their site which is cute. The staff were friendly and welcoming on check in. read more

AMAZING whitewater rafting experience. I highly recommend if you're looking for something to do around this area. Our guide, Coleman, was also amazing. If he's your assigned guide, then you are extremely lucky. He's so friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. It was my group's first time ever going whitewater rafting, and he made us all feel very comfortable during the whole ride. He also did a great job of explaining and giving us a heads up before anything happened. He's very clear with his instructions. He explained a lot about the park's history to us and certain landmarks, which I thought was really cool. I loved how the route goes through INSIDE Glacier National Park. The views were so breathtaking, and you actually get moments to enjoy it during the ride. The process for booking reservations was so easy too. They give very clear instructions on what to bring to be prepared, and when we got there, the check-in process was also very easy and straightforward. This experience was a 10/10 for our group. Spent 4 nights here as a part of a family reunion with 33 people. The combination of cabins and resort rooms made this a perfect gathering space for all of us! This review is for the fly fishing experience. The instructor was kind and helpful for first time fly fishing. The river was beautiful and it was enjoyable. While it was understood that we wouldn't be keeping the fish it was awkward and off-putting that we were not allowed to hold the fish for pics. Communication was lacking in this area. read more

Our family group of 6 recently did a float trip. Todd was our guide and he did a great job. Todd was very informative but he did not talk constantly so you could not enjoy the sound of the river. We saw some Eagles and had an enjoyable trip. The trip was advertised as being 3 hours but it only took 2 hours. We have been on many other white water trips and floats but the was the first time with great Northern. We would use them again. read more

It was my first time rafting and I had a fantastic time with Taylor as my guide! In terms of difficulty, I would say the river is good for beginners - no one fell out of our raft! I also want to commend Taylor for being super professional despite some of the people on our raft straight up not rowing and telling her to "go screw off" because they didn't want to row. They were really rude, but she didn't let that faze her and I really appreciated her still trying to make it a fun time for us. She was really great at teaching us how to raft as a team (even with some dead weights), while also being really knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I'd recommend it to people who are in Glacier and are tired of hiking everyday. I bumped one star down because there was a lady with glasses at check-in who was really rude to us and other patrons. Otherwise, an overall great experience! read more

I absolutely loved the full day rafting trip. All of the rapids were so fun, like a roller coaster but on water. My parents and I had Cash as our guide and I was surprised by how much information about the water and mountains he had. For the full day, the guides had us stop at a beach right off of the rapids and grilled up some lunch for us. I will definitely return here to go white water rafting! read more

I have waited over 24 hours before posting this review Our experience was terrifying and has severely affected our in state trip. We questioned if we should cancel, based on water level. I called Great Northern, and was told trips still on, but in a different area than previous, due to water levels. I believed the company would not take us out, if not safe. I had rafted with Great Northern before, and was trusting. Within moments of taking off, 3 people from our raft were in the river after crossing a rock. 2 near the raft. My father was thrown far from the raft. The raft kept going until able to stop, leaving my father behind. I am not sure how, but by grace of God, he was able to swim to a tree partially covered by water, and hang on in a area of slightly higher ground. Lower body submerged in the freezing water. If the tree had not been present, I shudder to think of the outcome. We could not see him. The guides went back. All rafts stoped. I was pleading for his rescue. The 75 foot rope was not long enough to reach him. Finally, a raft from Glacier Rafting came, and was able to position near him. He swam near and they pulled him in. I am not certain what would have occurred if another company did not come, as I pleaded with remaining guide to use radio, because the process was taking long. My entire family is traumatized. No one from Great Northern has contacted us to inquire on his status. Safety was compromised on June 21, 2022. I believe in the name of making money, when trips should not have been going out. My dad was a strong swimmer and in good physical condition. If it has been a person who was not, I believe a fatality would have occurred on the Flathead this day. I am positing because no one has reached out to me. I advocated strongly for my father's rescue, and will advocate now to anyone that will listen. read more

What a fabulous week! We stayed in one of the rooms in the lodge. Really appreciated the proximity to the park. It had all the amenities we needed like small fridge and access to a microwave. My husband reserved a half day rafting trip. Online booking was easy. Well organized check in process as we had already signed waivers online. The guides got us fitted with life vests and packed us onto a bus which drive us to the river. We were divided into groups. Our guide was Sofie. She was amazing. Got a safety and paddling intro and we were off. Easy to follow Sofie's instructions and we enjoyed her tour with info on river history. I had never been rafting before so it was a little scary at first. But man was it fun!!! They stopped in a calm area for the brave to jump out and swim. Wear water shoes and lots of sunscreen. You will get wet but it wasn't bad at all. So glad we did this trip. 100% would do it again. read more

Great place to stay!!! Check in was kinda weird-we got there around one and were told not too nicely that "no check ins until 3" without a sorry or explanation. We got back at a few minutes before 6 and they were closed with envelopes with keys taped yo the door with a sign saying " closes at 6" we had some questions that we didn't get to ask and it would have been nice if they had told us before that they close at 6;00 or if they actually didn't close until 6-because we were still there early...... but: Super close to the park. When you pull up to the checkin area you see a small building and a train car. it doesn't look like much but it was amazing . From booking our trip to checkin and events planned through then we're amazing. As a rather large wedding party they didn't mind us taking over several areas and were all super sweet. Cabins we're great for family or small groups to share. The wedding sight is breathtaking and will make for such amazing wedding photos. Our group also used the lodge for white water rafting, scenic boat tour, and fly fishing. Each group loved there guide and the entire event. our guide Kale assisted those who needed extra help due to recent surgery or bad knees in and out of the raft.
