This dealership has been given a business rating of "F" due to its unresolved customer complaints... (See: http://www.bbb.org/north-east-florida/business-reviews/auto-dealers-new-cars/butler-chrysler-dodge-jeep-in-beaufort-sc-235954080) Even though the spare tire was dirty (because it was taken from the under carriage of the vehicle) the threads were perfectly new; however, the tire pressure sensor on the scratched rim was different from the other three. The Service Manager told me herself that the mechanic replaced the tire pressure sensor. The next morning (10:00 am) when I didn't hear from the Service Manager I call to speak to her; however, I was told that she was in a meeting so I spoke to the Service Advisor. I asked the Service Advisor how did the sensor break and he said he didn't know but, the mechanic do not normally work with duallies. I told him nevertheless, the mechanics should use precision and care when handling other people's property, that's what professionals do... Even if something goes wrong I would still expect to be made aware, immediately. Sometimes things go wrong but, don't be dishonest, that makes things worse. This is what I would expect from a professional dealership service department, as a valued customer, HONESTY. I just paid about $80,000 for a brand new vehicle (10 days old). A OEM Replacement set of Wheels/Rims for Dodge Ram 3500 (DRW) will cost roughly $3,000 not including labor (about $500 per rim). The Service Advisor sated that he was sorry that this happened; however, he did not have the authority to approve payment for the damage. He would if he could but, that permission has to come from the Service Manager and that right now she in a meeting and I should expect a call later in the day. At about 3:50 pm, I got a call from the Service Advisor. He said they are still working the issue and he will see what he could do. I asked him what does that mean "see what he could do?" He said the mechanic said that he didn't switch or scratch the tires. I told him to consider the evidence I presented, to include the irregular tire valve sensor (that he broke), it is clear that something is not right. Additionally, I did not authorize any work to be done on the right side of my vehicle. I told him that courage to do the right thing was lacking by not only the mechanic who made the repairs but, also by yourself the, Service Advisor, and the Service manager; even after I presented you with the clear evidence of negligence (damaged rims), unsafe practices (dishonesty), and not providing critical information (questionable integrity); there is no evidence that anyone in a position of responsibility is taking this matter as serious concern for me the customer or for yourselves (the Professional Service Department of a leading Dealership) . The Service Advisor stated that the broken valve and replaced sensor was written on my service repair ticket. I told him that's even more proof that the service department was negligent in handling my vehicle and further supports the mechanic and Service Manager's attempt to cover up the issue. The Service Advisor said that he was stuck in the middle, that he understands and agrees with me however, he would have to convenience his Service Manager and that he would call me later. After doing a little research, I found out that each of my tires have a Tire Identification Number (TIN) and the TIN on the front right tire is, in fact, the TIN of my spare tire. I did not authorize any service to the right tire and now I question the stability of the rim (to what extent is the tire damage? Was it slammed to the ground? Does it have a crack? How did the valve sensor get damaged? Was it an accident or deliberate? IS MY VEHICLE SAFE AFTER TAKING IT TO BUTLER CDJ IN BEAUFORT SC FOR ROUTINE SERVICE?) I have surmountable evidence that this dealership service department lacks care, honesty, and integrity. I'm seriously considering legal action. I cannot speak for the other people or other departments, I hope there is some concern, honesty, and integrity amongst them...However, my experience with the Service Manager and Service Department was alarming. I am not satisfied with the service I received from this dealership. At the point I would warn others by telling them about my experience with Butler CDJ Service Department.

I went there and they researched tires for my Bike and gave me a price on two tires for $646.45. Most money I have ever spent on motorcycle tires. But apparently, my bike has an odd rear tire size, so I agreed. Prior to ordering the tires they asked me to pay up front for the tires which is totally understandable. So I went by there to pay and schedule an appointment time to install the tires when they arrived. On my bill it is clearly $436.87 for the tires. So I paid for the tires with my credit card. Later, that evening I looked at my receipt and saw that I was not charged the above stated amount - I was charged $454.13. There was an additional charge of $17.26 because I used my credit card. Now, I understand that there is a service charge to the vendor when they accept a credit card payment. Hey, that is "THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS"! But what really bothers me is that I was never informed about the added charge prior to using my card. Had I been told about the charge I would have stopped by the ATM on my way to Cycle Ward and paid in cash. I WAS NEVER TOLD ANYTHING! The next day (Saturday) I called to discuss the issue but they were closed so I sent them an email. They responded to the email on Monday simply stating that that was there credit card policy and they stated that there was a sign on the desk stating the policy. Gee, my Bad. I should have perused the office and desk closely to check for their billing practices. Silly of me for thinking that they would verbally disclose their policy to me and give me the chance to pay is cash prior to the purchase. But, you know what. If they had said to me. I'm sorry we should have made the extra charge clear to you and deducted the extra charge from the final bill - then this would have been a five star review versus a three star review. The work they did was fine (even though they left a socket on my bike which could have flown off and caused problems). BOTTOM LINE: Very unprofessional secretively passing on a charge that is normally paid by the vendor to the customer and worst of all - sticking to their guns when the customer complains.
