I don't even know where to start with my review of this AMAZING organizer. She was literally my organizing fairy godmother. She is a super human with boundless energy and creativity and mental force. I had many big milestones to be excited for this year but the one constant source of anxiety for me was thinking about my huge move. Every previous move I had was a total disaster and I knew this one would be no different. Enter Nancy. From the first words I heard from her via email she already set my mind at ease with the phrase "moving need not be a nightmare". I was initially skeptical but even after the first session I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Like every New Yorker I had tons of treasures stuffed into my one bedroom apartment and certain closets seemed terrifying with no end in sight. Armed with tape guns and stacks of boxes Nancy sat with me session after session and helped me achieve the seemingly impossible. My delicate crystals and other antiques were packed so carefully, the attention she showed my objects were as if they were her own. There was no weirdly shaped or frighteningly fragile item she could not handle. All boxes were numbered and organized with a super itemized and detailed packing list. She helped me get this huge job done, and ensured that unpacking once I arrived in my new home wouldn't be a disaster. Every box was beautifully organized and packed. There is no mindless searching for something now that I am unpacking. There is no pulling out poorly placed random objects that don't belong in the box. Packing and unpacking has been absolutely seamless. Everything is literally housed in its own temporary cardboard home, and the only source of effort I've had to exude thus far is slicing open the box with a boxcutter. Beyond helping me with the immediate terror of moving, I feel like Nancy helped educate me for the future. I now can comfortably say I can handle a move with all the tips and tricks I learned from her. She spent countless hours with me, was so understanding of my OCD, and is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Her patience knows no bounds. She was there for moral support on my moving day and would even bring me small things like cupcakes to keep me motivated on the more arduous packing days. She is delightful to work with and beyond professional. It's a big deal to trust a stranger to help you handle your things and trust was never an issue with her. If you are looking for an amazingly talented, high-energy organizer who is certified by the CPO and who makes organizing (and even packing) fun then look no further. I would recommend Nancy for anyone looking to better organize a cluttered apartment, add new life to an overly stuffed closet, or help you pack or unpack from a move.  Her talent and skills are so much more than this, and I could go on and on. IN-CREDIBLE!!! Nancy is a closet organizing genius! She is truly talented and a worker bee! Having worked with a (great) closet organizer in Texas before, I thought this would be a 1.5 or maybe even 2 day project because of my clothing volume. Nancy did the entire thing in 8 hours (her average closet takes her only 4) and it was so much better organized and laid out than any closet organization I have ever had done before. (And she didn't take one break throughout the entire day- insane!) The main thing was that everything was highly functional! Other closet organizers try to make everything look like a showcase but Nancy went out of her way to make sure this was a system you could put in place and "never need her again." Everything looked gorgeous but my main kudo is the functionality of it. Nancy has such a positive attitude about everything too! I was able to get rid of tons of things in this process (donating bags of clothes), but one thing I liked about Nancy was that when I was really on the fence on something, she would convince me to keep it just in case, even though that made her job 10x harder because space was definitely a concern in my situation! She wanted to make sure you were thrilled by the end of the day with what had gone on. My advice? Spend the first hour with her and then leave her alone to do her thing, while sporadically coming back in to make sure things are functional for you and going the way you want them to. She'll need you input for how you use your clothes, what things you wear often and not everyday, etc. But who wants to sit there while she replaces a billion wire hangers with regular hangers and sorts clothing into the right categories? Think it takes her less time to knock some other things out and let her come up with the organization... just let her do her thing! And buy all of the hangers/organizing materials she suggests! She suggests cheap products that are worth every penny. She also brings closet bar divider materials to help with organization too. This woman is scrappy in the best way possible. She saved me $ by suggesting certain tools and by going into overdrive to do the entire thing in just one day. I travel so much and now with my new system, unpacking has been a delight! (Maybe not a delight but 20,000x better)! Unpacking clothing from trips or even unpacking wash-and-fold laundry is so much easier. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Nancy is a dynamo. She is joyful, non-judgemental, discrete, very helpful and is non-stop. Even when I took frequent breaks she forged onward. She works at your comfort pace. For a job promotion and easy train access I moved from large 1-2 bedroom with huge linen closets, 7 other closets to city studio with no linen closet, and 2modest closets. Though radically pared down possessions, I vastly overestimated this apartment's capacity to accommodate them. Working many hours at new job for years, the issues were not really addressed and it developed into unpleasant cluttered apartment space. Now I laugh thinking I would save money getting a smaller apartment space. Nancy helped me with organizational plan to pare down (not her insistence but mine), move furniture for functional space, and changed mindset on possessions. Meanwhile I will also search for more reasonable accommodation. Sure everyone wants to go out to eat, walk and play in the city. However playing and lazing in bed at home in serene environment is living too. Enter Nancy who convinced me not to have demolition cleaner take everything out. Yet in first few hour visit there was unbelievable "wow" progress that she promised. If you have clutter issue I believe Nancy Heller of Goodbye Clutter is a good investment. 10/10! Nancy Heller's passion and zest for organizing made the seemingly burdensome task of turning our small, messy studio into a functioning modern space a breeze and a total "wow moment". Nancy's fun can-do attitude, wealth of expertise, and useful tricks/tips transformed organizing and decluttering into a FUN experience! The apartment now feels put together and like a space I actually enjoy spending time in. We got rid of so much stuff with Nancy! We didn't realize how many things we were able to easily part with. Her suggestions and comments were spot on. Even though I've read many articles and books about organizing, being able to learn more about downsizing from Nancy was so helpful. And the best news is a few everything is still working out as planned and all of Nancy's hacks are proving useful in keeping the apartment clutter-free. I am a busy mom and wife, with little to no downtime, we are always on the go. Nancy has a true gift. Not only has she been blessed by the "organization gods"? Lol but she is one of the sweetest most accommodating and respectful woman I've ever met in NY or that I've had help me in my home. She is completely disarming, funny, considerate, and seriously NOT JUDGMENTAL AT ALL! I think partially why it's so hard to have someone in your home to help you get organized is the guilt that you have a mess on your hands, and the thought of having someone enter your very personal space. It can be scary. You will not have to worry about a thing with Nancy. Her professionalism and experience really makes it easy and even fun to work with her. I moved from a large house into a good sized apartment but was completely overwhelmed with the reduced amount of space, especially closets. Seriously had no idea where to even begin when I googled closet organizers and Nancy's name, along with others, came up. She called me immediately and with understanding calmed me down. No easy task. We spoke at length and knew she completely understood and "got me". Within a day or two she was here...smiling, up, positive and with flowers in hand but most of all completely self assured she could easily tackle the job. And did she ever. She would not leave me until I was completely finished and relaxed. She went to Container Store (2x's!) with me and selected everything I needed. She even lugged the huge, but completely necessary haul 8 blocks to my apartment. It was heavy and she's a tiny little thing! I had the good fortune of hiring Nancy to organize my parents' home after they passed away.
