I had my home cleaned in July 2026 by Wizard of Homes. The service was excellent: prompt, professional, thorough, and reliable. The cleaner showed up on time, even early, and we discussed what needed to be cleaned vs. what she could skip over. Even leading up to that first cleaning, the scheduler was responsive and communicative at every step of the way. The cleaner even added nice hotel-like touches, such as a little paper towel "bow" on the roll of paper towels in my kitchen, and same with the bathroom towels. I even had very dirty, hard-to-clean window sills, typical of NYC, and she was able to get it looking freshly painted. I plan to continue using their services regularly. I would not hesitate to recommend Wizard of Homes for your cleaning. Strongly recommended. read more

The housekeeper from Wizard of Homes came over to my studio apartment in Manhattan this week for the deep cleaning appointment I had made via their website. Here are a few of the things that I really appreciated about this company: 1. The communications with them were timely and crystal clear. 2. They arrived on time--exactly when they said they would. 3. Last but not least, they cleaned my apartment so thoroughly that I could never have made my room a fraction of the cleanliness as they had done. The photo I attached here is the "after". Every Wizard is detail-oriented and incredibly efficient! There's an appreciable before/after you can see from each visit. If you get regular cleanings they try to have the same person come each time which is helpful - though again, everyone so far has been wonderful: great at their work, punctual, and super kind to us and our cats. I have problems with chemical smells triggering migraines and they're very understanding about using my products, plus making sure anyone coming to my home has also not worn fragrance that day. Talk about going above and beyond! Give these people a try, you won't be disappointed. As for other reviewers who complain about upcharges - that has never been my experience. I have always been pretty clear-eyed about the state of my home -- when it really needed a deep clean versus a regular visit for example -- and I do read the entire website noting what is included and what is NOT included in the fees. (Yep, you have to pay extra for the inside of your oven.) And about communications, I had maybe one or two missed connections early on in our relationship that were probably at least partly my fault for not being totally clear about dates. The cleaners themselves are decent (not any better than other cleaning services I've used) but the manager of this business, Dagmar, tries to find every possible opportunity to upcharge and overcharge for basic services. For a barely 500 square feet apartment she said they would be charging $75/hr with a minimum of 4 hours needed to clean it per week. Completely ridiculous. She also tightly controls communications with cleaners so that extra time has to be spent asking basic logistical questions to Dagmar that she will then relay to the cleaners, who will relay their answers to her and then she will finally relay the answer to you. It would have been much more efficient to talk directly to the cleaner. When looking for a cleaning service, you can do better; this service does their best to waste your time and money. I've also used other services and they just don't do as good of a job. This team takes pride in their work and treat your home as if it is their own. My last cleaner, Chris, did an incredible job. He not only did all the normal cleaning but I watched him wipe down every bottle of wine I own to the point I was embarrassed because I have so many . 10/10 would 100% hire again. I highly recommend Wizard of Homes. We get monthly cleanings, and they have sent a number of different cleaners. (I believe you can stick with one person if you get weekly or bi-weekly cleaning, but for monthly, the cleaner may change). All of them have done a wonderful job. Some were really excellent. Each one has been punctual, respectful, and competent. Given the quality of cleaning, the rate is fair. The company is also very organized and communicative, and they are very helpful with scheduling cleanings. I've used off and on over the years Wizard of Homes for regularly weekly cleanings and deep cleanings if my apartment, and most recently I used their organizing services. They are great! Their prices are good, they're professional and responsive, and all the cleaners I've had over the years have done a great job. For the organizing services I had done recently, I had Judit from Wizard of Homes. I liked using Wizard of Homes for the job because a) their rates for organizing services were waaay better than what I'd been quoted by some other professional organizers, b) the organizers all double as cleaners, so I knew I didn't need to be embarrassed about dust or sticky pantry shelves, and c) it was easy to schedule -I just sent a couple emails and picked some times. Friends, Judit's organizing work was amazing. She found ways of organizing and arranging items that I never would have thought of if you'd locked me in a room for a week. She also powered through tedious tasks that we had found overwhelming-like sorting through and meticulously organizing my bf's ridiculously large collection of cords and various electronics. Now everything is efficiently organized and we can see what we own. It has made our lives better and was worth every penny. If you're looking for an organizer (or cleaner), I highly recommend Wizard of Homes. read more

2nd time writing a review for Wizard of Homes because they are that good. Wrote the fist review after we moved into our current apartment in the Fall of 2019, when Robertyna did an amazing move-in clean post painting. Then 2020 happened, and we all know that story. Well, now it's 2021 and things are looking brighter. Bright enough that we had a small family gathering for a little while ago and Beata could not have been sweeter or kinder. And just today, Claudia did such an incredible job on our 3rd ever appointment with Wizard of Homes. Our wooden furniture pieces look showroom condition, and the inside of our refrigerator has never looked so organized! I was a bit stunned honestly. The entire company seems to be nothing but caring, kind, and hard working people. Managers Dagmar & Egle have been super responsive with each appointment, and were really helpful when some last minute rescheduling with an appointment had to be made. My Wife and I most definitely recommend the Wizard of Homes team. P.S. All 3 times the ladies arrived on time! That never happens. For that alone I'd give them a try. read more

I highly recommend Wizard of Homes - we've been using them for cleaning since 2018! My scheduler Egle is prompt and reliable and friendly. The pricing is reasonable too. Every cleaner that comes is consistently professional, detail-oriented, on time (they send a text in advance if there are any issues), does a thorough and excellent cleaning job (some cleaners go above and beyond and I will tip extra to let them know), needs little direction - and so I haven't had any reason to switch cleaning services over the years. I even gifted a deep cleaning service by Wizard for my friend's parents' house after her father had passed - they were kind, speedy and did an amazing cleaning job - they did not let me down! I've been using the Wizard of Homes for years. The Wizards are all trained, and make sure the place looks really clean when you return. For regular cleanings, anyone you get will do a pretty good job. Kinga, Eleri, and (from years ago) Tiiia have been my favorites. For someone like me with allergies, I need an exceptional level of detail that most don't require, and the Wizards make sure this happens. Just be clear on what you need (esp if it's not obvious, or out of the way), and follow up right after. Cleaners that really care will follow the list (this is important no matter who it is), point out what they've done, and how things went (if you ask). It is relief to have Kadi, the managers and the Wizards for a pretty important aspect of home life in the city. read more

We've been in our house for 13 years, and while I get ambitious every once in a while, the whole thing has never been clean at one time. In fact, after several rounds of renovations, I'm sure there was some dust and grime that had been there for over a decade. I started with a deep clean (I was afraid my house would qualify for a filth clean, but I guess they've seen worse!), which was two people for two full days. Since then I've had Melinda in every other week for a full day. It's been wonderful! I stay out of her way, which is encouraged by the company (I get super chatty when people are around, so I'm really glad). She cleans where I ask her to (for example, my daughter doesn't get her room cleaned if it isn't picked up first; sometimes I like to have my kitchen cleaned, sometimes I've given it a good cleaning and would rather she spend her time on a dirtier area), and does a fantastic job. If I leave out bed sheets she changes the sheets, and if I've left any dishes in the sink, she does them and scrubs the sink. For the first few cleanings she just used whatever products I had around combined with some things that she had brought, but once my stuff started to run out she requested some specific products, which I'm happy to provide. I'm very happy with the service, and while it isn't cheap, I trust Melinda completely to be in my house. read more

All's well that ends well. I was initially extremely dissatisfied even before my Wizard came. They had a last minute opening for a deep cleaning (I was initially wait listed), which I happily took. They gave me the option of coming 8am or 10am, to which I said did not matter since I wouldn't be home. I left my house at 7:15 am to take my dog to the sitter that day (in the heavy rain!); 10 minutes after I left my house, I get an email saying that they will have to cancel because my Wizard called out sick. I know that these things happen, but really, less than an hour's notice is ridiculous, especially considering that if I canceled from my end, they require a 24 hour notice. I was furious because there were a lot of inconveniences resulting from a domino effect that day that could've been prevented from an earlier notice. They initially only gave me 20% off, which wasn't enough since I incurred unnecessary expenses due to their lack of timely notice. They gave me a date two days later - I spent time arranging with the dog sitter (again) and then they canceled again! At that point, I was absolutely furious and my communication was sent to the owner, who increased my discount. Urszula (my new Wizard; she wasn't the one that canceled before) came on my new scheduled date (third time's the charm?) and did an amazing job, even without my having to be home to ensure quality control. She clearly knew what she was doing; she cleaned all the nooks and crannies. Surfaces are all clean; my stove (which was a mess), bathtub, tiles, and everything is Las Vegas hotel clean (possibly even cleaner). I had a lot of loose items here and there and she organized them neatly. Highly recommend minus the initial hiccups! With the hiccups, I didn't really like how it was initially handled, but it worked out eventually. The cleaning itself by Urszula was superb. read more

There is nothing else in the world that makes me more angry and neurotic than cleaning. Full disclosure: I actually like cleaning and find it quite cathartic but I often find myself getting obsessed with deep-cleaning that it makes entire chore extremely unproductive (have you ever vacuumed, lysoled, steam-mopped one spot on the floor twice? no? just me? ok. cool. cool. cool. cool. cool.). To ensure that I don't have a complete breakdown, my partner and I get a deep-clean every three months to keep our place sparkling clean (especially now that we have a land-shark/puppy devil living in our home). Judit is our go-to gal and she consistently leaves our place spotless. Her attention to detail is amazing (she organized our spices, shower gel and shampoos by color + size!!!! WHAT! WHO DOES THAT!). I love them so much and my boyfriend is incredibly grateful that I am a little less neurotic and ornery. read more

All I have to say is that every time I came back to the apartment- everything was shining!!! The bathroom was legit sparkling and all I could see was white everywhere- it was that clean!! The team is super responsive and professional! If you book the AM slot they are on time if not earlier!!! They're super nice too. This is my first time writing a review on Yelp. This service was so bad that I feel taken advantage of. I paid $400 and my bathrooms and kitchen remain uncleaned. I left and came back and the two people were still in my living room 2.5 hours later. Also the floor doesn't look cleaned at all. Another person mentioned they don't mop, only swiffer. I have never paid so much for so little. I am disgusted by the poor service. I paid for a service that I didn't fully receive. There was no motivation for them to work quickly when they received payment upfront and get paid per hour. Worst company ever. I shouldn't have believed the positive reviews and instead should have asked a friend. read more

My husband and I just moved into a 2 bedroom loft in Tribeca. I scheduled a "move-in" cleaning and couldn't be more happy. Melinda was the person who came to clean. She was on-time and super friendly. I had a vacuum, step stool and a lot of cleaning supplies ready for her but she also came with some of her own supplies as well. She worked from 9am to well after 2pm on the apartment and it looked great. She cleaned the fridge, oven, the floors, cabinets, bathroom. The company was great about being confirming, being in-touch throughout the whole process and Melinda texted me as well when she was finished cleaning so I could come by.
