This is why I am giving a two even if I did not use them. 1. The add on a gratuity to your invoice. I was not informed of this when I spoke with them. 2. They charge a 5% of your order total as a processing fee when you pay your deposit on line. They should make you aware of these items before you place your order. read more

Working with Scott, Veronica, and their crew of employees regarding the details of our special day was simple and easy. Their professionalism, organization, and punctuality was outstanding and everything they provided was superb! Our guests raved about the three tacos they had at our wedding: Al pastor, chicken, and carne asada along with rice and beans and accoutrements. They also came through at last minute when we had our original caterer drop out and they provided excellent catering along with all the appetizers which included: ceviche in cucumber cups, shrimp cocktail, tropical fruit bruschetta, and prosciutto wrapped asparagus. We hired them this weekend and i will try to add a photo. The beef, chicken and pork tacos were a huge hit and my guests raved about them. I tried the shrimp and veggie and loved them. We also had bruschetta, rice and beans, cheese stuffed peppers, and this delicious ceviche in cucumber cups that was fresh and refreshing. They set up quickly and put out the handmade chips and salsa and guac, then made the tacos and served them to to the guests. They quietly took down their grill and tables while the party continued on. I can't rave enough about them, based on taste, skill, ease of set up and breaking down and clean up, and service. It all arrived in one big van, so no need for a huge truck or that much space for one. I found the staff easy to work with to plan my food and event and can't recommend them enough. I live in LA, so they go all over don't be fooled by where Yelp says they are based. Most of my friends wrote thank you's mentioned the excellent food and said they took a card to hire them for their events! We had Goodfellas cater our large event for 200. We did chicken and carne Asada. Hands down people liked the chicken really well and felt the beef was fine. The service staff were courteous and friendly. Our only suggestion is do your homework as to what paperwork the venue requires for outside caterers. Having these issues settled before your sign the contract can save both sides. Otherwise they showed up on time meal was served on schedule. Guests seemed happy with dinner. read more

It's easy to find affordable taco guys in San Diego. Alright guys, goodfellas is the bomb.com!! I had an event at my job and they catered for about 40-50 of my staff! We had two guys serving the food and let me just say I am all about customer service and they nailed it! I made small talk here and there and they were awesome while talking to me and said I could have anything I wanted! So let me get straight to the point with the food! The food was soooooo yummy!! We ordered grilled tilapia, chicken and carne asada with rice and beans, oh and to top it off they had mini appetizers (quesadillas & grilled stuff peppers) everything was just amazing I would definitely have them cater again and again!! I can not THANK Scott and his team enough for the wonderful job they did at our daughters wedding in November 2018 I should have written this long ago and I do apologize sincerely. The food was complimented all evening and to this day our guests say how much they enjoyed the quality of the tacos and Supreme Nacho Bar. Which was even better than we had expected. Our guests LOVED it! My daughter also LOVES Carne Asada tacos and that was her request for her outdoor wedding reception. GoodFellas did an amazing job, they were on time, set up with their white serving platters and black table cloths; as I had requested a more formal appearance. The presentation was completely appropriate for our family's special day! The team was so professional and friendly to all our guests. When the dinner service was over the left overs were packed up and left for us to take home. We didn't even realize they loaded up their equipment and had gone home. Excellent service and amazing food! We called them a week prior and they were able to cater our party of 50 without issue. They arrived on time and were very friendly. The food was delicious!!!! We even had leftovers and they were even better the next day. We had steak, chicken and tilapia tacos. Each item was amazing. The stuffed peppers and roasted jalapeños were a guest favorite as well. We hired GoodFellas to cater a dinner during an anniversary celebration weekend with our friends and family. They were a huge hit! They arrived on time, set up quickly, and were very professional. I strongly recommend GoodFellas Taco Catering. The food is so delicious, fresh and great ingredients are used. I used them last year for my daughters birthday party, I received so many compliments from the guest on how delicious the food was. Goodness, the individual writing the review that the staff is rude and unprofessional, the food is in the sun and that they do not wear gloves is absolutely incorrect. Another member of my family used his services and I never witnessed any of the bogus allegations mentioned. This is not your ordinary Taco Caterer. Their set up is professional, they dress professional and they abide by the health codes. I am very knowledgeable of food health codes in CA and they abide by them, if they would not, I am pretty sure they would not have great reviews on yelp. So, look at the other reviews on yelp and disregard the 1 star Goodfellas Taco Catering has. I am glad the owner exposed the 1 star is fake. read more

We recommend AGAINST using this taco company. Used them for our grad party this past weekend. They ran out of tacos in 1 hour, 20 minutes even though we purchased a package that guaranteed tacos for 50 people for 2 hours. They were very inflexible and difficult to deal with regarding product quantity, serve time and more. There are lots of great Taco caterers out there. Use ANOTHER company. read more

We hired GoodFellas for a family reunion and they were Awesome. The food was excellent and plenty of it, (so much so that we had tacos for a few days afterwards.) They were extremely helpful, friendly, efficient, and clean. If you like hot sauce, they have some heat in theirs, so be warned, or keep piling it on like some of my family did. We had chicken, carne asada, and carnitas. Everything was great, but I couldn't get enough of the carnitas...they were sooo good. My husband and I used GoodFellas Taco Catering for our party that we had last Saturday evening, 12/5/15 - they were nothing short of amazing!! I found them here on Yelp and after reading all of the positive reviews, I had to give them a try. We didn't have to worry about anything - they had everything under control. The staff, Scott, Vanessa, and I didn't catch the name of the other two people, I'm so sorry, were ALL so professional, helpful, and right on time!! The food was delicious - everybody kept commenting on how good it was - I guess when it's a taco bar, most people just expect so-so food, but the meats were so well-seasoned, the rice and beans (I had two types of beans - 1/2 refried and 1/2 whole pinto) were perfectly cooked, and the condiments - 4 (I believe it was) different types of salsa (my favorite was the fire roasted red salsa - DELICIOUS!!), guacamole, sour cream, cilantro, onions, and cheese - were all right on point!! The package I got - the Ultimate Package - came with two appetizers, as well - quesadillas and cheese-stuffed peppers, and not like jalepeno poppers, these were fresh chiles stuffed with cheese - they were SOOOOO delicious!!! Veronica was SO helpful and easy to work with on the phone - when I called her 5 days before our event and asked her if I could move up the count from 80-90, to 120, it wasn't a problem at all. There was a lot of food left over, but I'd already come prepared with To Go containers, since I'd read the Yelp reviews and noticed that many said there was leftover food. The staff left the remaining food out for us so that we could still eat once they left, which totally unexpected. The owners of the venue (Stardancers Studio in Altadena), were even commenting on how good everything looked - I left them several of your cards - they said they were going to use your services when they had another event - they said they usually had Italian, or "regular" catering food for their events, but would like to try a taco bar for a change, after seeing how good everything was and seeing how professional your staff was.
