From the very first message, the entire experience was incredibly smooth and pleasant. MJ was highly communicative leading up to our appointment date. I had a lot of ideas, and she was extremely patient and accommodating as we went back and forth on styles. She even had me come in for a quick, in-person consultation beforehand, which was fantastic because it made collaborating and aligning our visions face-to-face so much easier. On the day of the session, the process was amazing. MJ constantly checked in to ensure I was comfortable. She has a remarkably light hand, there were moments where it felt like nothing at all. I highly recommend MJ, especially if you are looking for traditional abstract brushstroke work, though her talent and professionalism make it clear she can adapt to whatever style you throw her way. She completely exceeded my expectations!

I walked in and picked a set of earrings and off to see Eric, who literally made it painless. He gave me post-care instructions, and asked that I come back in 8 weeks for a follow-up visit and to shorten the posts. We just shortened the posts and it's been great. I've followed their care instructions and have been very happy. If you need a place where they keep standards high to protect you as a client and make things easy, this is your place. Instead of helping a nervous first-time customer he made us feel like our questions were an inconvenience. His behavior alone was enough to lose a customer. You can say what you want, but based on how we were treated, I believe we experienced racial bias. Whether you agree or not, that's how the interaction made us feel, and it was unacceptable.

I appreciate how Simba displays care for his craft, but there were many red flags during my experience. My partner and I had requested stainless steel right away for our piercings clarifying we didn't need a titanium upgrade as we have no sensitivities even after the sales pitches, but once Simba told us the price at the end it was much higher than originally quoted, so we corrected him and he said he pierced us with titanium. Not once in the process was this made known to us. This was an extra $40ish to our total that we had no choice but to pay, when we have no sensitivities or allergies and are used to stainless steel jewelry. Simba was very salesman-y and tried to have us purchase many things until I requested to take them off the total, which I get from a business perspective but it made things a bit uncomfortable. I was familiar with the products too as we sell them at my work, and they are not soundly necessary for piercing aftercare. Any clean saline spray works great. The main problem came with my vertical labret piercing, which the end ball fell out 1-2 hours after he pierced me. I was standing when it fell out, and i didn't even notice until I saw my lip. I had to go back and get it fixed, which I do appreciate that Simba came back to help and screw a new one in. Then, 2 weeks later, my piercing fell out again when I was sitting in a car on a road-trip to another state. I never touched my piercing or did high movements out of caution. Once again only noticed when I saw my lip in a mirror. It was an insanely stessful experience where my piercing came out from the top of my lip and I had to shove it back in with blood leaking down my chin during a food stop in front of my family. Appetite ruined. Though Simba referred me to someone he knew in the area I had to pay to get the ball replaced, and this piercer was amazing. Johnny from Club Tattoo. My body was in shock from everything and I was not all the way there but he was very kind and I wish he was local to the area. He mentioned that per Simba's instructions (which were rather outdated, uncommon, and bizarre: clean the piercing 3 times a day with a spray and then 1 more time with a specific foam soap), I was over cleaning my irritated piercing and needed to let it be instead. I was only spraying it 3 times a day as I thought the soap was overkill, and spraying it 1-2 allowed it to heal better. The real kicker was, once this piercer switched my bottom ball out (Simba was telling me to buy a whole new piercing), it never fell out again! Not even once. I was even worried as the jewelry base was different. And I was very careful out of fear at first but then I started continuing my workouts and being not careful at all, bumping it etc, it still never fell out and lasted me about 5 months, perfectly in fact, until I had the courage to downsize it with The Piercing Shop (they were also very kind, low stress, and told me not to pay more for titanium when I asked as a precaution bc stainless steel works just fine). I even considered going back to Simba to downsize but never got a response. I'm unsure how things could've gone so wrong here, and it was personally a bad experience for me and my partner whose piercing had no room to be downsized as well and hasn't healed well. 2 stars for the early effort in communication at least, but overall a very poor personal experience

Prices are insane, customer service acts inconvenienced, jewelry selection is limited, and the mean-girl energy is wild. The vibe is that you're putting them out. I had an old nostril piercing stretched, but choosing jewelry was hard. The person at the front vaguely showed my options and didn't do anything like show me the jewelry next to my nose, let alone remove it at all from the display. The jewelry turned out to be a smidge too big. Considering I saved up to pay over $100 and left a $10 tip, I assumed they'd want to help me out and have a happy customer. They were condescending and said the best they could do was 15% off a new one (from an already limited stock) or I could "email the owner." After hearing how emotional the situation was making me, I was told they'd call the owner. When I tried to follow up, they just hung up on me without saying anything. Three times. So professional! The fact they mention how many happy customers they have in the review replies is so backhanded and defensive and *unprovable*. If you have lots of happy customers, you don't need to bring it up as defense for customers that aren't happy--that is just invalidating client experiences. The replies to any negative reviews tell you a lot!

I have been tattooed by a few different artists here at the shop, they are all super friendly and cool. It makes "chair time" so dam good... and fast! Kim is amazing and has done an awesome piece on my back, turbo has done my feet & are still super vibrant & colorful, Rick has tattooed my wife. Mike & grim worked on my friends, which all came great & my friends have since been back for more. its just such a family oriented shop and it makes it really nice to be there, not all stuffy or "too cool". they are mellow & creative, i went on a random night just to say whats up and most of the artists and a few other people were just painting and drawing in the front area so that was cool. All the artists have all their artwork up too & its really great stuff. I think more than anything i was happy with the tattoo for sure but i was stoked about the cost, i mean i hear people paying and arm & a leg for their tattoo (and why wouldnt you cuz its on your forever!) but they were so reasonably priced (like $100-$150 an hour!) compared to another place i hit up a few years back that was $500 an hour. whoa. but i mean you pay for what you get and i was BEYOND stoked about all my tattoos and ive only heard good things from my freinds and family as well. read more

I have been getting tattooed by Adam "Chef" for almost 3 years. Before I started going to Adam, I only had a couple tattoos. I knew I wanted more but didn't know any artists. I was lucky to meet Adam. He is great at collaborating with you to get your vision across. We have collectively come up with all my art work. We have several pieces going and they are beautiful! He is kind and patient and a great artist. You don't leave the shop wondering about how to take care of the tattoo. He communicates very well with his customers and takes great pride in his art. I took my mom to get her 1st tattoo a couple months ago and I wouldn't trust anyone else but Adam with my mom. He did a wonderful job and it was a great experience for both my mom and I. I highly recommend getting tattooed by Adam. You surely will not regret it...and you will surely be coming back for another tattoo. read more

i was referred here for a nose piercing originally... i didn't really want to drive down there from corona but it came highly recommended. and i was not disappointed. the girl that i first talked to was cool, and nice. the piercer, Scott, was super friendly and made me feel comfortable. he talked me through the whole thing and i didn't really even feel the needle! he totally walked me through the aftercare process so that i could take care of it. as i was paying i noticed they do tooth jewelry! i was so excited & did that right on the spot too. i dont know any other shop that does them so i was happy with the whole day. ive since been back for a another piercing and will one day muster enough courage to get a tattoo! but ive also recommended a few more friends there for tattoos and they have all been just as happy with the experience and results. read more

Grim is homophobic and transphobic. Couldn't even get the stencil on before he was spouting his hate speech. Stay far away from him and this shop who let him get away with this. This was taken down by Yelp because my review "wasn't clear that your review described your firsthand experience as a customer of the business". We absolutely were customers here and we got up and left before getting the tattoo because of this man's blatant disregard for others. So Yelp don't take this down again. People need to know Grim is a terrible person and should not be getting tattoos from him. Stay away especially if your a part of the LGBTQ+ community read more

I got a tattoo fixed by Adam. He is a great artist. He knows what he is doing. He is the only one that I would trust to do the rest that I want to get. I even got him more business with having my brother and his friend come down and get work done by him. They are so happy with the work that he does. They even have friends of thier's that are going to make an appointment with him to get thier's done by him. Adam is very fair. He enjoys what he does and is great at it. 1. They tattooed me with a used needle which made things more painful and a possible transmission of bacteria into my skin. 2. I took great care of my tattoo but it became infected probably because of the used needle. The infection caused rupturing on my skin where the tattoo was and completely removed large portions of the tattoo. It looked like it had large spots missing everywhere. 3. When I went back to ask them for a touch up (usually free), they said I would need to pay again to get it done. read more

So I walk in at 11am and am greeted and told it'll be an aprox 2 hour wait- again- no problem. This is to be expected. I get my name down and leave for a few hours and come back. I let the guy greeting everyone know multiple times that I wanted a full-color tattoo. I wait another hour and am seated with an artist. Upon being seated I notice that he has mostly black and grey art posted. I remind him that I expected a full-color tattoo and he let me know that he doesn't do color. Hey, no big deal. I wouldn't force someone to do something they're not comfortable with. So the guy from the front apologizes and says it'll be another 45 minutes until another artist is ready. (I should have just cut my losses at this point). So it's closing in on another hour and dude let's me know another artist can actually take me. Fantastic! Well I sat there for another 20 minutes, while the new artist consulted (flirted) with two women on what they wanted. Never greeted me. Never asked what I wanted done. Completely ignored me even though I was the next client. At this point I politely stood up and walked out. I heard so many good things about this shop so I'm honestly just shocked and disappointed by the customer service and priorities of this shop.

He inked up my wife's name on my arm, in honor of our 11 year anniversary. It turned out really dope. I was so impressed with his work and how clean his process was, that I've gone back a few more times for 2 more pieces.
