Fortunate to find two seats at the lovely bar; Myrial feels intimate no matter where you sit. St. Paul itself has an intimacy that makes the city feel perceptibly different from Minneapolis. While a warm welcome is not always integral to the Twin Cities, it's easier to break down that atavistic wall across the river. Alcohol had my flamboyant self making my presence known, and everyone behind the bar became a part of our evening. They were all good sports. Mixology and a curated wine list are part and parcel to Myrial's reputation, and we took advantage of its skills. Yet, the opening scene was simply a prelude to fantastic morsels that emerged from the kitchen. Myrial and Boucheron provided my best meals in the Twin Cities since we moved here. Everything tasted amazing. The menu changes, but the established greats remain. Along with most of their patrons, we loved the duck, Swedish waffles, and the Oyster mushrooms. At the end of the evening, I tipped the kitchen staff and hugged everyone, making them all feel uncomfortable. Too bad. I had a great time.

The evening wasn't just about food, it was about the experience we all shared . From the moment we were greeted at the door to the final goodbye, it was an encounter of excellence and care. Every detail a patron would want was covered in beautiful precision. The presentation, taste, servers, plating, dinner ware, ambiance, cards sent home with menu and procured tea..... wow This was an unforgettable experience and will go down for all of us as one of our favorite memories. Shout out to the dishwasher as well, we know a lot of those beautiful settings have to be hand washed. Those details matter, and we are so thankful. Thank you for blessing us and giving us a beautiful moment in life to reflect back on. We will be back

We ordered the Porteño (meat pizza) and the Peras (vegetarian) since our son is vegetarian, and both were excellent. Even the leftovers held up wonderfully--reheated in an air fryer, they tasted fantastic. We also tried the churro donuts. On their own they were okay, but with the sauce, they were really good. Highly recommended for pizza lovers, and a great pairing with your favorite beverage--beer, wine, or a non-alcoholic choice

Boludo specializes in pizza, but with an Argentinian twist. In January 2025, Dave Portnoy visited…read moreBoludo's Miami location (now closed), and rated the pizza a 7.8/10. The rating seemed low, so I had to try it for myself. My wife and I went to the original location in the Kingfield neighborhood of Minneapolis. We got 3 empanadas, a pizza, flan, and churro donuts. The menu features 7 empanadas. Of those, we tried the carne, jamón y queso, and the Messi. The carne was my favorite, but all 3 were worth getting. So much so, I'd come here for the empanadas alone. As for the pizza, we kept it simple and got the pepperoni. Boludo's pizza is like none other I've ever seen before. It's somewhat oval shaped, but with 4 corners, and has cheese heavily sprinkled over the crust. Aside from being a bit greasy, the pizza was solid, and better than the 7.8 Dave Portnoy gave it. Similar to the pizza, the flan had a unique presentation, as well. Rather than a slice or its typical round appearance, Boludo's flan is served in a jar and topped with candied pecans. It was rich, but that didn't stop me from gobbling it all down. Lastly, we had the churro donuts. These were reminiscent of cider mill donuts, but better. The donuts didn't need a dip, but the dulce de leche it came with was enjoyable. Boludo didn't miss on any of the items we ordered. Not only did I find the overall experience to be unique, I was genuinely impressed, as well. As strange as it sounds, make sure to check out the bathroom if/when you visit!

I wanted to eat every item on the menu and had to limit myself so now I have to return at least 3 to 4 more times to order everything I would love to try. See my comments about the photos because that'll let you know just how delicious everything is. I also had the crab ravioli, and that was out of this world and then the rabbit pasta dish was also quite tasty if you like that kind of game (not pictured). My mocktail was refreshing & the decaf coffee with dessert was the best decaf I remember having. The restaurant was packed even at early dinner and by the time we left, there was a line out the door. I don't see that very often anymore and I can see why they are going so strong right now. Great atmosphere, upbeat music pulsing in the background. People come here to celebrate and I got to sit beside people having an anniversary. It is so cheerful because everybody knows they're going to eat something delicious and they are right.
