    Chicken Mercado Umami Rice Bowl
    Anna L.

I went to Brim for one lunch for one of my friend's birthdays! It is located near Bde Maka Ska, and they have a patio area which I'm sure would be nice in the summer after a day at the lake! They have plenty of indoor seating, which is what we did. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, and everything is gluten free! The staff is knowledgeable about the ingredients in the food. I had the umami rice bowl (which is vegetarian). It had a nice blend of textures, from the crunch of the broccoli, to the chew of miso mushroom and the runny yolk in the poached egg. Red chili oil is one of the components of the bowl, but it is very mild. The dish overall felt very fresh and light. It's a nice lunch spot for a nutritious, whole-foods option!

This is a good option by lake bde maka ska for coffee, lemonade, tea, or matcha. They have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free breakfast & lunch. There are also shelves with knick-knacks for purchase, as well as gf/vegan to-go bread loaves and N/A aperitifs. They have a mix of counter and table service, and the ambiance is very open and inviting. There is a lot of natural light, with some patio seating along the outside.

some delicious & nutritious bites and sips from brim! hadn't stopped here for a few years and can see why it's withstood tougher times in the area. a great and peaceful spot to sit in or outside and eat something you won't feel as guilty about later a quick recap: seared salmon & dill // SO good, hearty and filling. the dill sauce is and I love anything pickled. a unique blend of flavors and an item you wont find from many places. (pretty certain) berry lagoon smoothie // also GF & filled with yummy ingredients. needed my fruit fix that I'm always lacking. BLT // made with gluten free bread but you'd never taste the difference.

Brim has the most amazing healthy and organic food and beverages. I love their smoothies, one of my favorites is the PB &C, it includes peanut butter, bananas, cacao, chocolate plant protein, coconut milk and chocolate chips. Their breakfast is so amazing as well.

Tasty healthy food walking distance from the lake. Very cute and quaint spot. You walk up and order and can choose to sit either inside or outside. The only cons to this place is that it's street parking only and kind of price

Lemongrass curry add chicken- a little heavy on coconut milk taste but decent

Visited 11/9/24. Probably like a 3.5/5 rating but rounded up. Visited with a large group of family (made a reservation using Google assistant calling for me which was kind of strange but worked out for us). The place itself is cute although slightly harder to access depending on where you're coming from. Parking may take a bit of time to because at times there can be limited spots. The place itself was super cute and people who worked there were very kind and accommodating of our group's needs. I got the lemongrass curry and added chicken. The curry itself was like a 3/5 or so-decent flavor but coconut milk flavor was slightly overwhelming and the chicken was in rather large chunks which put me off it a bit. BUT I do have to say that this place for my cousin who is gluten free and dairy free was a godsend and that she was visibly excited at being able to have so many options to pick from on the menu. The mission and execution of this place is so important and cool and I love that they are bringing tasty gluten free food and making it accessible for all. Major props

I went to get my kid food from there and I get home to find five mushrooms in the food? Mind you I paid $3.25 extra to add mushrooms side of mushrooms. That's actually genuinely insane. And I had already had to go back into the store to get a side of sauce that I thought they'd forgotten, but claimed it was already in the food? I guess I didn't want to dig through it with my hands anymore, and didn't notice the lack of mushrooms lol. Not my usual experience here... The staff was nice and gave me an extra side of sauce when I asked. But spending $3.25 for 5 small mushrooms is genuinely insane.

Felt super excited to check out Brim with my sister who is GF. Went on a Sunday morning around 9:15am and there were already a few folks inside. At first glance, the location and ambiance is everything I enjoy. It was bright, clean, and a gorgeous space! You order at the counter and can take a seat inside or outside. I ordered a miel (this was the most delicious thing I had, I'd get this again) and a breakfast sandwich. We also ordered the pesto chicken and the pulled beef. I've heard such wonderful things about Brim, so I couldn't wait to dig in. I feel sad to say but the food was just about inedible. The slaw should be removed immediately. It is truly awful. The sandwiches were below mediocre. I understand it is difficult to make focaccia GF but the texture was way off, it lacked flavor, and really missed the mark. I would be willing to try a few other things on the menu, but the sandwiches and slaw are a hard pass for me.

Love the market chicken bowl but the vanilla latte is my favorite in the cities! Sweet but not too sweet, and homemade vanilla bean syrup--10/10

Inside reminds me of a very cute simple coffee shop. Small table seating and some outside facing lake Calhoun. What's even better is they have an excellent, full menu of healthy organic choices. Oh even better, locally sourced ingredients! With that the prices are higher than some other places. A smoothie is about the same price as a meal but they have some pretty awesome smoothies. The lemongrass curry bowl was the perfect amount and very fresh. It was lacking in flavor though and missed that umph I was hoping for. An overall cute place for a quick bite.

Thrilled to have a healthy fresh option right by the bike paths and lake. Friendly staff, delicious food, bike parking, outdoor and indoor seating, clean bathrooms. A+++++ Thank you for not creating another restaurant in Minneapolis with Sad American Diet bar food.

    The Linda's Bowl
    Sheri S.

Cute, neat, restaurant. I had the matcha tea and the Linda's Bowl which was a very generous size. The Salmon was way too salty but I did not bother to say anything to the staff. The other items like the beets, cauliflower, broccoli, local greens, and roasted sweet potatoes were fresh. The wild rice was a little too grainy and felt like it could have been cooked a little more to soften the grains. Overall, I thought the staff was nice and the smell of the food was enticing specifically the steamed rice. It just fell short of the taste factor.
