It's been 7 years since Ive been back - service is still great, food delicious. It felt smaller than I remember ‍. Ambiance is perfect I feel for a family place, not over the top but comfortable? Like your visiting at a friend's house? I don't know- What we especially liked was the smaller amount of "chips" just enough not too much not too little! Portions just right.

This place is really really nice. It has great character and really great food. I had the Uncle Bryan Burger and it was delicious. The fries were hot and soft in the center. The service was quick and fast. This is a pub, but it's a great option for dinner or lunch.

George & The Dragon is a super cool restaurant that my hubby and I tried for a double date night with our friends. We came on a Monday night at 6:15pm. This place does get busy so definitely keep that in mind. Luckily I made reservations ahead of time so we had a table waiting for us, otherwise we would have been put on a waiting list since it's a small space. They put us in a corner booth which was nice and spacious enough for 4 people so I'd definitely recommend asking for a booth verse a table if you're planning to come with a larger group. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. I appreciated their attentiveness and sharing what they like best, especially for what's in season based on the time of year. The menu has quite a bit of variety too which is sometimes unexpected when you come to a pub-style location. For appetizers we got Onion Ring and Fried Pickles. They were both really good and served with dipping sauces. Definitely both shareable items so if you're in a group they'd be great options! My entree I chose the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon served with lemon soy marinade, creamy cucumbers, and jasmine rice -- it was SO good!! I loved the creaminess of the cucumbers especially with the rice and than the lemon soy marinade was just a unique touch to the salmon. Toned the flavors down without overpowering acidity. And the salmon was so dreamy, a beautiful pink color that you just knew it wasn't a farm raised salmon. Plus the portion was very generous!! I'd definitely recommend the Alaskan Sockeye Salmon to anyone interested in visiting here. #eatwildsavewild The only negatives (which are more so just knowledge bombs for you): * Restaurant is VERY loud. It's hard to hear because it is one small room that everyone plus the bar is in. I wished I would have took a picture to show what I mean. Just know that if it's an intimate setting you're looking for this is not the place. So be prepared to talk loudly over the loudness and ask "excuse me?" or "repeat that" many times throughout your visit because you're not going to hear everything. * Timed eating. Because this place is a hit with limited seating, once you get a table and complete your meal/payment you'll kindly be asked to leave so that they can clean up and open the table to next in line. Totally get that and am not put off by this at all, but I could see how it could catch some folks off guard especially if you are out for a meal with folks you may not see frequently-- so just keep that in mind. This is not the place to sit and talk post meal. * Parking is limited. Be prepared to walk a few blocks as the road parking in front of the business is pretty limited especially with the other stores and restaurants in the area. Regardless of those few bullets I highly recommend folks visit George & The Dragon. It's a really cool spot and the food was great! Plus theirs a malt shop right next door that looks yummy too, so definitely worth visiting and getting malts after for dessert.

A cozy pub in south Minneapolis serving classic fare from burgers, sandwiches and salads to fish and chips and more. I usually go for a burger but the steak sandwich was also calling to me on this visit with its blue cheese and caramelized onions. Since they don't take reservations I met a friend there for lunch just as they opened at 11:30 on a frosty Monday. There was a steady steam of folks coming in shortly thereafter.

Searched for non-chain near MOA. This was about 10 minutes away and so worth the drive! Small pub, very clean, very nice and attentive staff and the food was so good!! Highly recommend!

This restaurant has been on my list to try for a long time and I am so glad we found the time to finally experience it. The customer service was excellent. The host was funny and witty. The food was phenomenal. We tried the onion dip appetizer and it was full of flavor and the oven baked bread with it was a perfect complement to the dip. I tried the fish and chips and it came out steaming hot and was some of the best fish and chips I have ever had. The blood orange hard seltzer was also delicious. I am glad I found a new one I like. Everyone at the table tried something different and not one person went home hungry or disappointed. Everyone raved about how good the food was. The waiter went above and beyond. Even with it being bus he was on top of refilling the waters at the table. The restaurant is quant. Kind of reminds me of a new version of an English pub. We will be back to try something new soon.

Steak Sandwich was phenomenal: filet mignon, caramelized onions, Amablu cheese and horseradish cream.

What a gem of a place that we found from Yelp suggestions. My guy and I sat at the bar had phenomenal food (steak sandwich - a must try!), good drinks and an enjoyable time. Everyone was friendly and helpful and you could tell customers were a mix of regulars and newbies like us. We'll definitely stop by again if in the area.

Glad I was able to cross this off of my bucket list! There is street parking nearby. The space itself is small, so if going at dinner time there may be a bit of a wait. There is a small bar and thankfully we were able to snag some seats at the bar shortly after arriving so we skipped waiting for a table. It is a tad dim in the restaurant, but the vibes are cozy and warm. We started with the Bacon & Onion dip and it was DELICIOUS. It was creamy and savory, and made for the perfect appetizer! For an entree I got the Beef Rib Toastie with fries. The fries were very good and reminded me of my grandmas! The sandwich was tasty with cheddar, onion, arugula and horseradish cream. Personal preference- I'd probably get it without the arugula next time. Overall great experience and would go back!

I meet three high-school buds every other month and it was my turn to pick a restaurant. I picked George and the Dragon. A cozy neighborhood bar restaurant. I walked in and was surrounded by families who had walked over to the 50th and Lyndale spot. Nice feeling!! Service was super friendly and timely. Food was above average bar food. I had the Asian Hangover . It was delicious. Great apps. All four of us loved our entrees. I definitely recommend George and the Dragon!!

Low key place, decent food. Music plays low as ambiance drowning conversations. It's not a big place but you can seat at bar and order food. The bartender was very knowledgeable of menu and "today's specials". He's very clear when communicating and asks questions back. He was very efficient serving drinks with a friendly demeanor. It's located near a busy stores strip with stores like Anthropologie, free people, loft vintage, and the sort. Food is good just not enough of it. Husband stayed hungry. Would I recommend? Yes, for drinks and appetizers.

    Do you serve breakfast?

We do not. We only serve lunch and dinner 6 days a week. Monday through Saturday. Thank you for your inquiry.

Do you have gluten free options?

We do have options. We take all allergies and dietary restrictions very seriously. Because of this it is better to go over the options in person. We do not carry a gluten free bread however as there would be no way for us to toast the breads without…

Do you have a party room that could host a baby shower for couples, and what menu would be available?

Unfortunately, we do not. We just have our main room for our dining options. Thank you for your inquiry.

Do they still do the Sunday roasts lunch?

We are closed on Sundays now. We used to do the Sunday roasts for our Sunday brunch service, but stopped our Sunday brunch a few years ago. Thank you for the inquiry

Just saw triple D...how is this place in anyway Filipino?

Thank you for your question. We have never marketed ourselves as a Filipino restaurant. We have always said we are a neighborhood pub that serves pub classics and family recipes. Lumpia happens to be one item that is a family recipe that we serve…

How hard is it to get in around 5:30 on a wednesday?

We can always make you a reservation. Are you looking at this coming Wednesday?

I'm not a fan of their BBQ sauce. It's quite thin and vinegar heavy. They should have more options available. The burger patty was great but the mushrooms were the most smoked food I've ever had in my life. I think it was too overpowering and not enjoyable. BBQ Sampler: Porketta was good. It was the best dish followed by the ribs, brisket and chicken last. The brisket and chicken were dried out. None of the food was as hot as it should be. It was all lukewarm. We truly waited forever for our food. :/ We thought appetizers - cheese curds and fries would hold us over but they literally came out at the same time as our entrees. I honestly don't think we should have paid for it at that point but I was just so tired from everything being drawn out I was ready to pay and go.
