I hired this company to install a paver patio at my house in the fall of 2012. Initially, I had a very good experience with them. They were courteous, and actually returned my calls. They gave a fair estimate, and started the job in a reasonable time frame. The crew really took their time and appeared to be doing a very good job. At the end of the job, the owner (Tony) told me several times to be sure I called them in a couple weeks and they would come out and brush more sand into the pavers after it settled. However, after they had their money, they were never heard from again. I called them 6-8 times over the course of a month and never got a single response. They never came out to brush more sand into the pavers, and I didn't get a chance to do it myself before it got too cold. After everything thawed this spring, I noticed some significant damage to the outer edge of the patio. The outermost course had shifted and started to slide away from the rest of the pavers. Water had gotten between the stones and washed some of the base away from under the outer edge. After a couple weeks, the next course of stones started to become affected. I called GCS 4 or 5 times over the course of 2 weeks, and never received a call back. I believe at least part of the reason that this damage occurred is because more sand wasn't brushed in between the stones. As a result, I wound up having to fix it myself. I don't believe I should've had to put that kind of time or money into a paver patio that was only 6 months old. I can understand some level of damage, but there is no excuse for the company completely ignoring my calls. I would've been perfectly happy working with them (on cost) to have them come back out and repair the damage. I'm really disappointed with the sudden change in attitude from this company, once they had my money. I strongly caution anyone against using this company for any significant projects around their home. read more
