This Goodwill is one of their larger format stores complete with four dressing rooms. Their prices are pretty much in line with every other Goodwill in Austin. If you want to save more and you're a senior, come on Tuesday and save 30%, otherwise they do have 50% off certain color tags. One thing I noticed about this Goodwill is that it has a higher concentration of clothing than most stores. Clothing accounts for 75% of the floor. All the shoes sit above the clothing racks and all the housewares are off to the side of the store. They do have some water fountains and bathrooms that do not require a key.

I like this Goodwill. It's quite spacious and things aren't all crowded together. Helpful clerks. I happened to show up on Senior Discount Day (Tuesdays) and I happen to qualify ... was pleasantly surprised! I found a 100% black silk sweater in my exact size! I wore it to the theatre last night! Perfect!

Original sticker price is cheaper than goodwill price

SO overpriced! My boyfriend and I found a golf club that was MORE EXPENSIVE on the goodwill sticker than the 'retail' sticker from the original store. What has happened to thrifting prices!?

Worst experience ever. After waiting in line for 20 minutes behind 2 people I get to the counter. My items were price with a price tag at .59 and 7.99. The clerk over charged me. Charged me $17.30. When I pointed out the simple little mask was .59 they stated it was $7.99 regardless of the price tag. I left the place knowing I'll NEVER shop at this Goodwill again. I asked for a refund but in my frustration I left not knowing if they actually refunded me.

They shouldn't be smoking in the doorway

The stuff can be overpriced sometimes but I have found some treasures. Sometimes it's hard to find someone to open the fitting room.

This little secondhand clothing store just opened up by my Crossfit gym and I finally was able to…read morestop by. Even with a fleece vest on, sweaty face and hair, and chalky hands, the owner was sweet to me and shook my hand. I got the impression it's a family owned business (her son was there and other staff may have been family). I'd been dying to try on this adorable red polka-dot dress in the window, and she actually said it was ok. The dressing room is really a large bathroom which was nice and clean, but nowhere to hang the dress. anyways. The damn thing wouldn't fit over my new lat muscles, which was a bummer considering it was only $8. Looked almost brand new and the brand was Papaya (a trendy charlotte rusee-Forever 21 type of place for those not familar). They had a lot of jeans, but I wasn't in the market so I didnt really look through them.Their shoes and accesories were trendy/funky/good condition (always in the market for shoes, come on now). The other clothes seemed hit or miss - more on the miss side. They seemed older/different age group than the other stuff. Anyways, it was worth stopping by, I will definitely cruise through every so often just to see what they get in. The have only been open a week or two so I wonder if they will develop their own style. As is, it's basically a nicer, small salvation army with better than average denim and shoe selection. (and it doesn't smell in there or have screaming kids...)

The store has the atmosphere of being in your own room. Go to the drawers and pull out your pajamas and T's. I know you will be blest just visiting us. We are so excited to bring South Austin a Savvy way to shop and wear the latest (American Eagle, Hollister, Abercombie , Forever 21 for teens) and we are recission proof as well as a frugal way to own clothing and accessories at "better than garage sale prices". I simply love the opportunity to save you $$$$$$$$$$ and feel good at wearing that special item that no one needs to know that you spend just dollars for. We have something for everyone and every age. Sizes from 0 to 44. Thank you in advance for coming to visit me.

The only reason that I'm giving it one star is because I can't give it no stars. This place is…read moreoverpriced and disorganized. They put staples in their clothes to attach the price tags. The worst part was how rude their customer service is. My 2.5 year old is deaf/hard of hearing and took off her hearing aid in the store. My husband put it in what he thought was our cart. When we realized he had misplaced her hearing aid, I went back inside to look for it. I asked one of the stockers to help and they ignored me. I then went to the front to ask for help and was told that I would need to look in the carts myself. I told the lady that my daughter needs the hearing aid to hear and they are very expensive but she blew me off again and told me to look myself. I then told her I had spent $60 in the store and that they were $12,000 and asked if she would please help me. She told me " not with that attitude I can't." She then forced me to take a breath and continued to berate me about my attitude after she had refused to help me. She finally did make an announcement and someone came forward with the hearing aid. I'll never go back to this store and would never recommend it to anyone.

As one of yelper has already pointed out, there's usually some derelict with his hand out at the front door. About 75% of the store is given over to clothing with everything else around the perimeter. The prices here seem pretty much in line with your average Goodwill, although some seem higher. They do have a lot of kids toys and furniture. This business is primarily geared towards clothing, and this is a cash operation only, but they do have an ATM, which will happily charge you a fee. It's worth a look around, and maybe the photos included will get you through the door.

To be honest, from looking at the outside, I did not expect to see much in this store. However,…read moreonce inside, it's bigger than you think, and absolutely crammed full of merchandise. This place bills itself as a thrift store, but the prices are more in line with what you'd see in a consignment store. The aisles are very narrow in order to accommodate all the merchandise. They definitely have some collectible items, including some vintage stereo stuff. Inside you'll also find appliances, toys, furniture, tons of clothes, home decor, drum sets and electronics. They do offer sale prices on certain color tags which are likely the items that have been sitting around for a while. About half the space is given over to clothing and accessories, you'll also find three dressing rooms to try them on. This business doesn't just accept donations, they will purchase them as well. This thrift store carries a higher quality number of goods by far than your average Goodwill, but then again they are priced higher. Plenty of photos to peak your interest below.

A nutribullet for $10. They have a wonderful collection of clothes for all sizes. I'm in a bigger body and sometimes finding clothes second hand is super hard, not here. They have a large and funky selection. If you are treasure hunting, this place is pure gold and a hidden gem. Thank me later.

The space is very truly a thrift shop--bit of everything everywhere in the main room, and it's very fun to walk around and look for little treasures! Kevin explained to me that he rearranges his shop pretty often (he cheekily calls the practice "funk shui") to get people's eyes on different items every time they come in. He tends to get his wares from estate sales, auctions, and considers himself a treasure hunter. And I must agree! Lots of treasures in Far Out, and I loved sifting through them. If you make your way in, you'll likely hear from Kevin that he's open to negotiation and bundling items for reasonable deals. He seems just to be genuinely excited to find cool items and give them new homes. And I appreciate that energy a lot. I came in looking, loosely, for some home decor as my husband and I outfit our home after moving back to Texas from Georgia. But nothing felt quite right on the decor side. But I saw some beautiful pieces and walked out of the store with a vintage book I was excited about. So I consider it a successful trip. :) Make a trip over to check out Kevin's treasures. It's worth it!
