This place has some gems. And they have a $5 bib store next door. Check them both out. We got matching vintage purple rain shirts for $5 each. They got shirts from every era. Super old REAL Nirvana. I think they are worth something. Just not to me. Love the register set up. read more

Very organized, decent, clean, Polite crowd. Selections vary from nice pricey collection in one corner and General Jean, shirts with different sized and colors. My son loves vintage shopping and this one is cool. Parking is scarce but we parked across from the store. Lots of good food places and next to a church too. read more

Hey! Hey! It's the Monkies! This isn't some religious shop for monks. It's a vintage thrift shop located right on the Drag across from the University of Texas. this cool shop has all kinds of forgotten stuff from years gone by. If you're looking for cool old University of Texas Longhorns merchandise, this is totally the place to get them. Wanna look like a legacy student? These old shirts and stuff will give you cred at the next tailgate. My favorite thing about this shop is the artwork on the walls. Be sure to pay homage to the Spice Girls poster before somebody buys it. The staff was super nice about letting me browse. The store was in great order, stuff was hung up and put away. For being in Austin, most of their t-shirts seemed to be for Boston sports teams. Overall the selection was just so/so, but the prices weren't bad for what they carry. Service could have been a little better, we were the only ones in there and never got a single hello in the 30 minutes we were in there, though it was better once we made a purchase. To be fair it was Easter morning so maybe they just weren't totally stoked to be there. I can imagine it might be worth checking out regularly to find a hidden gem but for a one-off visit I wasn't loving it. read more

We looked this place up on yelp and decided to come here. This is probably the best and hippest thrift store I've been to. First you walk in it's very well organized it's not super big but they have quality pieces. The cash register is the front of a truck. I'm not sure who was playing music but it was some real good music. That as one of the reasons why I took my time because there was really good energy. I was visiting from California but to me the prices were really good not sure if the locals feel the same. My teenager spent about 1 1/2 hours looking and buying 3 bags of clothes. The service was excellent the guy was very attentive. I had an excellent experience it's literally the only store my teenager loved. We will definitely be returning. read more

I tried visiting the store in November . I've been hesitant to include any details to why my one star review but felt compelled to write a review instead of merely selecting a one star. I arrived from Houston 15 minutes before the store closed and the door was locked but there were 3-4 staff members in the store standing around laughing. I knocked on the door and someone signaled the store was closed with the cut throat motion. I was pretty bummed as I looked forward to going since I live in Houston. The store should be more professional to their customers, especially since the store hours are posted. Awesome clothes, descent vibes. Came in with just the intention of looking around with my Fiancé. It's a pretty small store that gets pretty packed with more than 8 people or so inside. They have a good amount of band, Disney, and other vintage shirts, a few sweatshirts and hoodies, Carhartt jackets, and a mix of jeans. I did end up finding a sick black panther shirt in pretty good condition. My favorite thing about this store is the prices are super fair. Shirts averaged 15-25 bucks which is a steal in my opinion. The only downside is that the person working behind the counter was just chilling. They didn't say hi as people walked in, ask if we needed help finding anything, or anything at all really. Unless you were standing in front of the register ready to checkout, the person was just on his phone. I may come back every quarter or so to see what new inventory they have, but other vintage stores do a better job of making you feel welcome. read more

The owner let us dip in at least a half hour before the store even opened on Saturday afternoon. He was beyond calm and friendly to the curious out-of-towners looking outside his shop window. From the size of the canvas bags he was toting, this store is frequented by some great donors or the owners really know how to thrift. Vintage 40's and 50's tailors suits it is not nor do patrons want it to be. This is more 80s/90s grunge. Like, if you wanted to look like your favorite Buffy the Vampire Slayer or other 90s TV show star, this would be the place to be. Not a frown in the entire shop. Very nice employees and the store is well-kept & neat. The dressing room has a neat barn style sliding door and then there's a huge mirror in the back that the fam & I kept taking selfies in. The clothes are varied: I saw letterman jackets, biker jackets, tees, dresses, etc. It's not a huge place so don't go in expecting Goodwill or anything but the finds are nice and not overpriced. The guy who helped us was very friendly and definitely probed to see if my kiddos were students so they could get a discount. :) Also, parking is available at the Domino's next door. I messaged their Instagram account because they posted a pic of an awesome Pink Floyd shirt and I wanted to buy it. They messaged me back to come to the store but I asked if I could order instead, it took them hours to reply to this but then their response was, "do you have pay pal?" I then said yes. But no response. I followed up with them the next day and they said, "you wanted the Pink Floyd shirt right? It sold today in the store unfortunately." This is not cool what so ever. To me it's bad business if you can't be honest and say, "hey we don't do orders" or whatever it may be. I just think it sucks to be lead on like that. read more

This used to be a super cool vintage/thrift shop that I would go to with my friends. All the jeans and T-shirt's where very reasonable priced, most tshirts being $25-30. Just went back recently and the whole store is completely different. Do not come here if you actually want vintage or thrift items. Everything is outrageously priced some shirts being $400!! This is a store for collectors only. There is also a very small selection compared to what used to be. I recommend going to pavement or flamingo vintage if you want better prices! read more

The most overrated "vintage" store in Austin. They were charging $70 for a "D.A.R.E" shirt. I laughed the entire way out of the store. If you want to go to the most pretentious "vintage" shop in the 512, and get some overpriced dumpster-dive clothing, this is your store. Love love LOVE this place. I've gotten some amazing finds here. The prices are so reasonable and the selection isn't vast but it sure is awesome. They pack in a lot of great stuff into the small space. The staff has always been super great. My fave finds include an 80s rainbows sequin blazer for $24 and a Levi's jean vest for $11, a Levi's jean jacket that fits me PERFECT for $33. read more

Really enjoyed my experience in store and am loving boots I purchased. The owner was super friendly but not overbearing. Small store but good selection, especially of men's clothes, which is somewhat rare in my experience. Also, the size of the store made it a very reasonable proposition to explore the whole selection.
