Mom got a new 50" TV for Christmas and wanted to find a stand for it, so we decided to check out Goodwill. Honestly? Best decision of the day. We walked in and immediately spotted the perfect table--an older piece, but solid and a near-perfect match for her coffee table. The store wasn't nearly as crowded as I expected, which made the whole experience even better. She browsed a bit, but we stayed locked in on the mission. The table was only $40, which felt like a steal. The young man who brought it out and helped load it was genuinely pleasant and super helpful--shoutout to great customer service actually being a thing. Once we got it home and set the TV up, it was clear we nailed it. Fits perfectly, looks great, and didn't break the bank. Can't ask for more than that. read more

I don't usually leave reviews but I really feel like I have to in this instance...let me preface this 1 star rating with this place was always a 5 star spot... Until I walked in today...the changes you guys have made to the store are awful...I have never felt so awful about a change to a company I love in my life...the charm of goodwill is dead...it looks like a damn department store now...they took away all the cool stuff that was on top of the clothes and moved them to shelves at the back...now it feels like there's half the stuff... maybe less of things that aren't clothes...the treasure hunting feel of the store has been almost completely removed and I for one as a lifelong Goodwill customer hate this more than anything...I just don't see myself wanting to spend much time in this store anymore...I hope that this comment and many others like it make their way to someone who has the power to fix this horrible mistake. read more

I took some donations to the Goodwill in Willis TX the other day only to find out that they will not take Christmas decoration. It is not listed on the list of things that they do not accept. The two young men that came out to unload my car were so rude! Neither one of them said a word to me except that they wouldn't take the Christmas stuff. One of them even bumped into me and said nothing! I feel that if you are going to work with the public you at least need to be friendly, at least say hello and maybe smile. I will be finding another place to take my donations! read more

First of all, $7.99 for a used Starbucks mug? But that's not even why I'm here. I went to the checkout with three items and one did not have a sticker on it. So I was told that it couldn't be sold until tomorrow. Fine. Whatever. As I'm leaving there is an employee standing outside the doors of the donation area just texting on his phone. Why don't we worry more about our lazy employees doing their jobs and making sure that each item has a tag on it instead of assuming customers are just taking stickers off to get a better price. This is absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention the store is trash. Willis Goodwill is a heck of a lot better and the employees work hard. I was in there once and saw them putting stuff out and organizing the entire time I was in there! read more

My husband and I love to go to thrift stores on the weekends. We went a few weeks ago to this location. I found a cupcake maker that I wanted to purchase, problem - no sticker. I took it to the front and the lady told me if it had no ticket it had to go back to the back and held for a day and then it could be sold. Are you serious? WTH is going back to the back for a day going to do? You need to search the internet to find out how high you can price it for. I found a manager who said the same thing and then in a condescending way said, Ya people take stickers off all the time, I'm not saying you did it but people do. Um I have better things in my life to do than to try to pull a scam on Goodwill. I said that's funny the store in The Woodlands did it for me last week when I found a lunch tote bag that I wanted, not to mention several weeks prior to this incident my husband found a golf bag with no tag at this same store and a lady went to the back and tagged it and brought it back to me no problems at all. Why all of a sudden is this a big deal. Please remember you are Goodwill not the Coach store. I usually drop by Goodwills when I have a little time to spare. I head straight to books, because most days, I don't have the patience to swift and peruse through hundreds of blouses and skirts. No thanks! I don't particularly like their book selection, as it was hard for me to find many good fiction reads. And on that note, I don't particularly like their organization, as it was impossible to determine how their books were arranged, other than simply placed arbitrarily on the shelf. And I don't particularly like their shelves, as it was a wall of 4 rows with shelves extending out far too much. When looking at the bottom rows, you can't easily see the spines of books. No, instead, you must crouch like an idiot and do a twinkle-toes dance across the aisle in order to see the book titles. I don't like to give bad reviews to Goodwills, because I do like their organization and what they stand for. However, there are better ones to visit (e.g., Goodwill in the Heights). read more

Staff was very rude , my family and I decided to pay separately but at the same cashier . Turns out that lady made three out of us four to go all the back to the line . So we go to this goodwill a lot, it's normally pretty organized compared to many others we have been to and has some really good stuff sometimes. We bought and paid for a dresser/cabinet yesterday and they told us we could come back today and get it as it was pretty large. Fast forward to today and we went to pick it up and they had sold it to someone else and they had taken it. I was super disappointed.....however the manager Tai( I'm probably spelling his name wrong) handled it amazingly! He was extremely apologetic and seemed like he genuinely cared that they messed up and was willing to do whatever he could to make it right. Mistakes happen and it's not like he's who sold it to someone else but he took ownership of the situation, seemed like he really cared, and wanted to make it right. I ended up getting a kitcheaid mixer and a cool snowcone machine and left the store just as happy as when we arrived to pick up the cabinet. This was by far the most expensively priced Goodwill store I have visited. But what's worse about that is I did not see a single item that I would even be interested in buying, or that seemed slightly warrant the high pricing. If it was a store full of designer and name brand clothing, bags, shoes, etc, I would totally understand that they are trying to get the most money possible for their mission...but no! It wasn't like that at all. Just the same ol' suspects, faded out tops and menswear from the 1990s and cheesy purses that were under twenty dollars brand new, selling for fifteen bucks. I do believe this is the first time I've visited a Goodwill "Select" store and I realize that Goodwill is broken up into different branches or divisions by region, but wow. The stock here was ratty stuff that they would probably be selling by the pound for cheap in the Goodwill Outlet Center near me...I don't know who is doing the "selecting" but it was appalling to us. read more

Disgusting is how I describe this donation site. You drive up to give donations; Everything on sidewalk all stacked up like a garbage dump. Things just being thrown around, glass things you can hear breakage. It used to have nothing on the sidewalk , and they seemed grateful for the donations. Now they do not unload your trunk or care about receiving donations. That's it for me. I will find another place to donate unused items read more

I love stopping by for books, and my kids do too. They recently expanded into their donation space that was/is next door to the store. They've separated their books between adult in the back and children's in the front. The adults books in the back are organized, but they don't stay this way of course. Overall, I love the store because it's always generally clean and the staff isn't the friendliest...but they aren't downright rude either. BUT they always have a lot of books...and that's why I go. For people looking for clothes, they have a really large selection. Along with home goods - picture frames, vases, kitchenware, lamps, etc. They have a TON of television sets now. Some jewelry, always a few wedding dresses, movies, toys, games, table cloths, blankets, and even sporting goods sometimes. You'll probably find something you want, or even something that takes you back to your childhood and gives you a good laugh. read more

I'm generally a big fan of Goodwill stores as you can find some rather fun stuff. This one had some neat stuff (like a bunch of 8-tracks), but was kinda small compared to the ones I'm use to in Houston. Overall it's worth a visit to find some random used clothes, or what I go for... costume parts! read more

Medium Sized Goodwill. I did find two matching lamps for $15 a piece. This Goodwill has a lot of clothing, wasn't in the mood too look through. Some of the nic- nacs should have been thrown away. Not very organized but not too bad. It's a hit or miss but you'll never know what you will find. I'd stop by again for sure. read more

What can I say? If you haven't been to a goodwill well, it's cheap, the prices are good. You may not always find what your looking for but, I find name brands clothes all the time to buy at fractions of the price, there's always a nugget of gold in the store.
