This Goodwill is closest to where I live, so I frequent pretty regularly. I've found a good amount of bargains here, not limited to clothing, housewares, electronics, records, CDs, books, bikes, and Christmas stuff. I tend to avoid 50% off days, just because Goodwills in general tend to be very crowded. Brett is one of the employees there, and we seem to talk whenever I visit the store, He is pleasant, can converse with people easily, and always reminds me of what deals are on for the day. It's always nice to see him when I walk in, if for nothing more than a cheery, "Hello." As with all Goodwills, stock varies with seasons, and this store is no different. You can only sell what you take in donations, and this location is organized, clean, and the staff is generally friendly. I will say this: It's not too early to think about Christmas time. They run sales in July (it helps to get your mind off the hundred-plus temps) and they are well stocked on these items. Give it a go - you might find something you've been looking for. read more

I was recently here and the store manager is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I asked the associate who she was and the employee said that's the new store manager. The store manager was yelling at the employees I was completely shocked to see how this manager treats people. I wont be shopping in this location because of her behavior. read more

WHAT A SHAME! I went to the Lake Pleasant store they had a beautiful piano on a Beautiful stand I purchased it and a boy brought it out on a dolly and BROKE the stand right in front of me? I have had both good and bad "Goodwill experiences" the good usually come from the local store through good service, or finding a good buy" the bad have usually come from Corporate decisions or lack of customer handling of complaints. Goodwills requirement to buy bags for your purchase has led to bad feelings and it renews itself every time I go through the checkout. Charging .10 per bag is predatory, greedy, and destructive to customer satisfaction. Stores that buy their products don't even charge for bags. Central Arizona it is the only store that Not only is charging .10 for a plastic bag predatory, you rarely get any glassware wrapped up anymore whether you buy a bag or not. If they charged .05 cents or .03 cents they would still be making a profit on them and would be more understandable. Then right after they tell you bags are .10 and you start to load your arms with your purchases, they ask you if you want to round up your purchase to support them. No, I'm not buying bags for .10 cents and I no longer round up. This has caused me to seek out thrift stores that leave you with a good feeling at the register. This has been the single most destructive decision to customer service in a long long time. read more

another goodwill that thinks it's a boutique instead of a thrift shop. You get the stuff for free, you put a reasonable price on it, and it sells quickly (is what they should be doing). instead the treat everything (in the electronics section) like it's a brand new product, and often charge prices the same as when new. a used lawn mower should not be priced higher than $25 they all need repair and by the time they get fixed up, you might as well by a new one. I've seen used mower for more than $75. they often sell things like sorting boxes, or plastic crates at the same price you can get them for new. I have seen plastic containers that had something like snacks in them, with a price higher than the original price of the product in a grocery store. read more

This is a complaint! I shop at this store every once in awhile.. Anyways. After today..i am refusing to go again! At the glass showcase. I noticed a purple gameboy color with pokemon yellow in the game slot! I waited patiently to get help ..i asked to see the gameboy and when the cashier was pulling it out of the case..she yanked the game and said the game is priced separately. I asked well how much is it? She looked at it and said I do not know as it was not priced.. I then was like so.. There's an item in the case..priced. You bring it out and say the game is not included.. Even though it was in the unit.. Say it is priced separately..but wasn't priced at all? I asked to speak to a manager.. The manager comes out..basically blows me off and says its priced separately..in fact it shouldn't of been out anyway that its for ecommerce.. Basically at this point.. Not sure why this goodwill location for bad rating but I like it. It's small but has enough items to satisfy various customers. I went there on a Saturday and it was not busy. Not complaining as more for me to look at and choose. No wait to try on clothes. Lol. I would recommend this location. read more

Against my better judgment, I decided to give this place a try a few weeks ago. I normally wouldn't be caught dead in one of these places, having had so many bad experiences in the past, but it has been in the neighborhood for quite some time, having long since replaced a derelict grocery store (formerly a Safeway) and curiosity got the better of me. If I had to sum up the experience as succinctly as possible, I would probably just say it was a shithole. And no, I'm not trying to be funny or profane for the shock value, either. While that phrasing is true in a figurative sense, sure, the fact is that there's a literal component as well, namely that this place literally stinks inside. It's not quite the stink you get in a Harbor Freight store, nor what you'd encounter at a public bathroom somewhere on the highway. Instead, I would argue, it is somewhere between, neither worse nor better than either of the two extremes, but equally unpalatable. For the few minutes I was in the store, all I could think about was getting out and away from that stench. Just... wrong. As for the employees working there, not much to say. There was a pack of maybe half a dozen, clustered near the front and shooting the breeze. No greeting when customers enter, nor when they shortly thereafter walk out in disgust. I am guessing this is the only part of the store with occasional gusts of fresh, breathable air, so perhaps I shouldn't fault them, but still at least act like you give a shit, right? Merchandise wise, the place was just literally piles upon piles of other people's used crap. And not gently used either, but used until whatever trailer trash previous owner decided it was no longer fit to occupy his double-wide. Electronics with no remote, sticky keyboards, dirty kitchen appliances, this stuff was several pegs down from what you'd expect at a yard sale in the most ghetto trailer park in Phoenix. Finally, I would be remiss without mentioning the other customers. I'd say people, but that seems to give them too much credit. Right as we came in the door, you had some people with her misbehaving kids nearly mowing us down in their zeal to flee the place. I guess even they were smart enough to realize that 111 degree heat was preferable to air conditioning that stank of whatever the hell it was in there. The other folks we saw inside were no better. I actually feel like I need to take a shower, and I didn't even touch anything in there except the door handle. To sum up, as I said before, a total shithole. read more

In spite of masks being required (and posted on their door) I observed three separate customers holding, not wearing their masks. In addition a male employee with long dark hair in a ponytail didn't even have a mask on him. Other than signage there was no effort to enforce guidelines. Very disappointing!! We donated quite a few items today to this Goodwill store. I donned my mask and got out of the car to show the employee which items to take. Even though the store claims employees are required to wear masks, this staff member was not wearing a mask and did not practice social distancing. If those who set COVID restrictions assume people will do the right thing (i.e., wear masks if not fully vaccinated), they are definitely wrong! This unmasked employee readily admitted he didn't get the vaccine and had no plans to do so. Shame on him and shame on the management of this site for not caring about the health and safety of its employees and customers. read more

Well. Let's just say I am a lover of Goodwill. This Goodwill was super clean and the staff was great and helpful. I spent a whopping $20 on a chaise lounge sofa today in decent condition just so the old man in the back of the pick up area could get pissed off at the couch while rolling it out on the dolly. Imagine him rolling out this love seat sized sofa out on the dolly and then flipping the couch out of the dolly so it smashes down on the curb. ‍ the couch I could care less about due to it being $20. What I don't like is how uncomfortable this man made me feel because he was a blatant a-hole. Not necessarily the fault of Goodwill but I don't understand why someone so bad with people is allowed to work with people. read more

My review is mostly about the employee Brett Seidell. He has always been friendly and helpful. He is very professional and pleasant to talk to. The store is pretty well laid out and generally the people are helpful. It's a Goodwill, so I always find a bargain. read more

I really like this Goodwill as the workers here are very kind and always available to help. However, I do have one big critique. Many of the items I see priced are near (and sometimes over) the price to purchase them online! Isn't that weird??? Seriously, used jeans (in pretty bad condition) for the same price as the new ones? Same with some of the shoes... and other items. I think they can and should do a better job of appropriately pricing items. read more
