I do love a bargain... Though I don't really shop at Goodwill but a friend is a thrifter and loves the hunt so I do find myself at various Goodwill lately to dive into the hunt as well as a novice I'm clueless in what the actual search is about and am sure majority of the items desired are claimed though is quite fun to do so. This location in Wahiawa is tucked way back in the corner though is quite a decent size and found myself finding items that I normally wouldn't think of finding such as items to pack for gifting...tissues, ribbons and bows even cellophane wrap and to think of stopping here to support a great cause is humbling as I've had known some to transition through here. Prices are grouped in categories and are posted in each section making it easier to know what you're paying for so there's no searching or asking a staff, they do keep up with current trends and as the holidays are approaching the Halloween section is the place to get it all weather it's decor or costumes they do have an impressive selection that I did not expect. Like other thrift stores, Goodwill is starting to be more and more expensive. I've been here a few times and it's hit to miss. They have A LOT of inventory so that's a plus, also organized so another plus. But sometimes they are more expensive that prices you would find at Target which is a pain in the butt and made me pass on a few things. This one is located in the Foodland shopping center so parking lot is busy but I've never not found a spot. read more

Good selections and parking. Be aware that when you pay, the cashier might change the price and claim someone removed the original tag and replaced it with a different tag. It's strange for someone to say the tag was wrong. If she knew the tag was incorrect, why not put the correct tag before putting it out for sale? Anyway, make sure to ask if the tags are correct. read more

Kindly advise your cashiers to be consistent when they charge the customers. I got charged more for an article of clothing than the person behind me. When the manager came, she corrected the cashier. Be consistent and considerate. Not all of us are there to resell, some of us are on a budget. Will advise all to take their business elsewhere. read more

My mother and I went here in search of black pants. My mother walked into the store wearing her sunglasses. After finding a couple of items to purchase we went to the counter to pay. The lady at the counter changed us for the sunglasses my mother came into the store with. When I questioned her about it, she said "aren't those ours?" I don't understand why she didn't ask us about the glasses since my mother had them on, before just charging us for the sunglasses. However the lady was not very pleasant at all and didn't even say hello as we approached the counter. I will check it up to her having a bad day. read more

Mahalo to Carol and her team! This morning, we discovered that a box packed with our daughter's personal items was accidentally dropped at Goodwill Kahala for donation. We quickly went to Goodwill to try and retrieve it. It has been picked up and taken to Goodwill Wahiawa. We went to Goodwill main location near the airport, and the manager, Louisa, got us in touch with Carol of Wahiawa store. We gave the description of the items that was in the box, and with determination by her and her team, they were able to retrieve the box with all the items inside. Though my thrift hunting mission was unsuccessful, I would consider coming back here more often. I'm not the thrift shopping type but hey, it's actually fun and you can find hidden treasures inside! Another mans trash sure is another mans treasure, or woman vice versa. I found two baby bottle drying rack for $2.99 each! That is a super steal!! Too bad I already bought one at fill MSRP prior to giving birth.. and I'm not trying to hoard, so someone will be lucky! I decided to park on Longs side of the shopping center because the stalls and aisles are much more spacier than Foodland side. But walking through that little tunnel like hall it smelt like cigarettes and there was 2 chronics hanging out.. They didn't bother but I wouldn't come back here alone.. Pros: Clean Mostly organized Clothes on the rack and not the floor 2 fittings rooms College student discount on Tuesday, Senior Wednesday's Cons: Prices aren't MSRP but they aren't as cheap as I can remember. I can't believe my 401th review is one of Goodwill but I guess it's full circle all the way around since I am a super-duper cheapskate, so cheap that even Goodwill is considered expensive for me. I just can't see paying $9.00 for someone's used pants but occasionally I get lucky and find that awesome old vintage 70's T shirt for $4. I used to buy clothes from Goodwill and wear them all the time but over the years all us women and women friends started a clothes-swap and now I don't buy any clothes from Goodwill unless I'm going to an 80's or 70's dress up party or need authentic, really ugly period-clothing for Halloween. 1970's stuff is hard to find, but 80's stuff is plentiful and super ugly...sure brings back fond memories! You can't beat the amount of kitsch, knick-knackery and doodaddy-ness when it comes to your local Goodwill. This location is nice because the dressing rooms are more plentiful than the Pearl City Cutter Aiea Goodwill and sometimes the doors are unlocked, so you just walk right in. read more

I can almost always find what I'm looking for here for much cheaper than a regular store. Always a good idea to check a thrift shop before buying full price. They do carry some new items as well and seasonal goods like Halloween costumes. They have a discount card you can get scanned each time you shop, then ask once in a while to have your rewards points redeemed for money off your purchase (it's unlikely they will ask you if you want to use them) . read more

Good bargains and good finds!! I love coming here. I'm always finding things I didn't know I needed. Hahaha. The browsing is the best part. I'm now finding myself shopping with my 2 year old. Postcovid I was a little more leery about shopping with contaminated things. But over the speaker monitors they are consistently reminding the shoppers that all items go through a quarantine hold before being placed on the floor. This is nice to hear because nowadays you never know. Of course you still have to shop with your mask which I'm grateful for next thing you know is hopefully they'll ask for vaccination cards lol #teamVacs this is not my normal Goodwill store so the only thing holding off from giving it five stars is the sketchy characters hanging outside the store. Checked if there were any cast-off designer handbags; unfortunately, there weren't any on this visit. Also looked for housewares, but there was nothing that I wanted or needed this time. Your price raises are ridiculous and I don't see any justification for them other than greed. What's the point of thrift shopping if the used prices are as high as or higher than just buying new at Walmart or Ross? Today, I made the walk over from my house to go hunting for a long-pant jumpsuit and kimono cardigan. This Goodwill is inside the Wahiawa Shopping Center near Foodland and next to a Korean BBQ place. I was surprised to not find any homeless people in the front or in the alleyway behind the restaurant. This Goodwill is well-lit and has a decent selection. There are 3 dressing stalls, racks of clothing, and shelves of housewares in the back. I found a black jumpsuit in 30 minutes, mixed in with the long dresses. Tried it on and it was a perfect fit! I purchased it but the cashier wasn't in the best mood. She processed my transaction quickly though-- no complaints here. 1/2 items found, at just $5.24! Not bad. Overall: a solid 3/5. read more

If you need something and don't mind it being second hand, this is the place to go. Goodwill has a lot of variety and there are a lot of hidden gems to be found. Last time I was there I scored a Lacoste hat for $ Can't imagine what bad reviews could come out of this place. You go in, you get what you want, and you get out. No frillls, no flash. It's always easy to navigate in here. I've never had trouble finding anything. The workers are just alright as far as service but I don't expect much of them except to restock and ring me up when I'm ready. Just a tip: if you're interested, aside from taking your donations, they also ask you if you want to round your total up to the nearest dollar and donate that difference. My first time here I really didn't love the store but I figured why not come back. I have come back many times since and said today would be a good day to write a review. I found some lovely clothing items the last time I was here and I have received compliments on them. Today I caught a great deal on the tagged items that were discounted because it was just what I came to the store for so that was super exciting. They have a large selection of everything and the people are friendly. Organization is better than other places and they get a B plus for cleanliness. They get an A in the morning being one of the first customers in the store and a B minus when I have gone in the evening. All in all I'm really starting to feel this place. If you go here prepare to encounter crazies and huge families with unruly children. This crap review is based on my experience today: I was browsing around and noticed a bowl I wanted to see. I pick it up, and there are broken pieces of glass in the bowl! I almost got stabbed and didn't want anyone to get hurt, so I take the bowl to the front counter. I tell the woman there if I can leave this bowl with broken glass there. She motions to the trash can, like I work there and should clean it up. I do as I'm told and empty the broken glass into the trash and then put the bowl back on the shelf where I found it. I got no "thank you's" or any acknowledgment for my good deed. Just a rude look and gesture from the lady working the cash register who doesn't want to do her job. TLDR: don't go here if you like customer service, a clean store, and a generally sane customer base. Go to a Waipahu Savers or Salvation Army down the street. read more

This place has almost everything you'd need and maybe more. The issue is the workers. No facial expression, they slamming in and out of the back rooms not knowing if someone is on the other side. Yelling like there's a wall between the back and the store. A lady walked past me like she wanted to fight someone, I smiled thinking maybe she needed it, but got a snob in return. My rating is based on my DONATION experience I live in Mililani, so my first choice for donations is the small donation station near Zippy's at the Town Center. Unfortunately, the last time I attempted to donate, the Goodwill hut was gone! I decided for this donation attempt I would visit the Wahiawa Goodwill location. I called around 5 PM after cleaning out some old clothes and bags in my closet, to inquire about their hours of operation. This location accepts donations until 30 minutes before closing. I filled up the back of my truck and headed over and was able to find parking in the front of the store. Donating here can be kind of tricky if you have a bunch of items, because there is no designated parking area for those dropping off. Try to donate on off peak times (early morning or early afternoon/evening) so you can find a stall relatively close. I donated a few bikes and toys, as well as a basket of clothes and bags. The attendant at the door was so sweet, thanking me each time I brought in a load of items. I have read some horror stories about donating items so I was glad that she was so grateful for what I had. I give this location three stars for convenience, but four for friendliness! read more

Wahiawa Goodwill. This place is a joke. My wife and I brought a truckload of furniture, clothing etc. for donation when moving to our new condo and were met with eyerolls, no assistance unloading (even though we saw 4 emlployees gossiping doing nothing) and a rude "put it over there". No 'thank you' or anything. Just dirty looks and lazy employees looking put out. Twice before this we went looking for household decor at the back. Both times we heard the same old Hawaiian male employee burp super loud in the back room. Gross. Also this store is a mess. Unorganized and dirty. Sizes all mixed up. Plenty of employees working their obligatory 20 hours that could be organizing and cleaning, but no...just gossiping, burping and eyerolling. They should take a field trip to their sister store in Kapolei and get some pointers. From now on we donate to Savers or the SPCA. read more

Found a couple of good condition Michael Kors blouses! it was worth the $8 for each...not complaining at all. will have to spend more time browsing. I like it! read more

I am basing my review off of their book selection only. Oh my, oh my... Everything is so disorganized! Nothing is in order. You literally have to go through every book one by one. There wasn't even prices posted on anything. All there was, was a sign that says "buy 3 get 1 free" Umm ok?! So make sure you have a lot of free time on your hands before coming to shop here. A hidden gem. Clean (as thrift shops go) and a pretty decent selection of clothing, maybe a little slim in the housewares and dish departments. Keep your eyes peeled for whatever the discounted ticket color of the day is, since I've heard from the volunteers that a lot of the stock is rotated through in just a week or so before it moves on, so you can find some killer deals with the discount markdown kicking in. The only downside is the parking situation, since Goodwill shares its parking with a Foodland and the strip mall. Oh - donation FYI - they have a donation dock in the back,but you can also ask to borrow a shopping cart and drop off items in the front of the store if they're not too busy. read more

This review is based on my February 19th visit. Lately I've been coming a lot to this goodwill enough where one of the girls knows my name! This is gonna be a long review but bear with me! I have some positive & negative things to say! First of all this store is the most organized out of all the goodwill's I've seen. The other stores really need to clean up! It seems like every single time I come in the only two girls working are Stephanie and Erty! These girls are the sweetest girls ever. Stephanie always welcomes everyone as they walk in the doors and she makes announcements announcing the sales colors! They say hi to just about every customer they can! They seem to go above and beyond for their job! Now for my issues with this store. They seem to be the only two working the floor. Meanwhile I hear everyone in the back laughing really loud. They talk so loud you can hear every word of their conversation crystal clear! Cuss words and nasty things come out of their mouths. It's do disgusting that they talk like that at work. Every so often I would hear her yelling at this guy Luke in the back. She kept asking him if he was dumb and insulting him because he wasn't doing things right. I only know his name because I could hear her yelling it. The few times any manager would come out it was to yell at one of the girls. I remember this one time specifically that the girls were both at the register and I was shopping. One of the managers came up to them while they were helping customers and said, "Carol said the racks better be done, no matter what!" She said it in the most aggressive tone. The girls just said yes and looked at each when she left. They didn't even say a word to her. She left the customers in dismay. I was completely shocked about how she talked to them. At that moment I felt like telling her something but I let it go. I hope the managers are embarrassed by this review and change the way they treat their employees because they are so wrong. Even though they are rude I will continue to shop here because of Stephanie and Erty. Thank you girls for being so awesome everytime I come in! read more

Located next to Foodland in Wahiawa is Goodwill Industries. This location is quite and the parking can be tight... but you'll always get a stall if you just walk a little. They have your usual array of second hand items for sale: clothing (A LOT of it), shoes, purses/wallets, household items, electronics, children's toys, books, knick knacks, etc. I usually donate to the Salvation Army or Goodwill, and I like the Wahiawa locations because you can drive up and drop off. The actual drop off for Goodwill in Wahiawa is BEHIND the store. If you're unfamiliar with Wahiawa... it can be quite tricky to find this. It's more of near the "back roads". I can't even begin to explain it to you correctly but I can try. If you know where McDonald's is in Wahiawa... I think it's on Olive St... turn right (assuming you're heading towards the North Shore for example). Follow the road... and once you come to a stop sign (3 way) go straight. The road will only allow you to turn RIGHT... but don't. You kind of look like you're behind a creepy warehouse... but on your LEFT is where you can drop off your donations. The last time I donated I had a truck bed full of stuff. The staff was more than friendly and helped us unload and brought everything into the back area where they process all the donations. We were offered a receipt for our donation (but we declined) and they thanked us and told us to have a nice day. Any place that offers drive up donations with friendly and efficient staff to help unload gets 5 stars! read more

When I say I don't like shopping, I don't mean thrift store shopping ~ especially for Aloha wear. And I love this little store. Friendly and helpful salesclerks, a great selection of clothes my size. I've never had to wait in line to try on clothes, and I always leave with a great bargain! I love the location. When I go to Foodland or Longs, I can just run over to the Goodwill store. Parking can be tight, but I always find a spot the first time around. I check the clothes before I purchase to make sure there's no tears or stains, as with purchases at any thrift store. I rarely am looking for anything other than clothes, so this has always been a worthwhile stop for me. read more

A few weeks ago I was on a search for an item I wanted to buy used. I was in the area and decided to check out this Goodwill, to which I had never been before. I was figuring it would be messy dive, but I was struck as soon as I walked into the door. It appeared clean and organized, not crap laying all over like some GWs that I been to. I didn't find what I what I was looking for, but took the time to cruise the isles and found organization and neatness everywhere. Felt more like a Savers. Came back a few days later to check the books and music, which actually looked searchable, but I didn't have time to do the first time through. I noticed a girl working in a blur, busily straightening sections throughout the store that needed help. That kind of dedication is impressive! The same girl had checked me out for one of my visits, and she was chipper and pleasant. Her name is "Fe", and she stood out as an employee. Fe needs a raise or promotion! I have a suspicion she is the reason the store stood out to me. Granted, GWs customers are the main cause of messy stores and I'm sure the employees are overwhelmed, but what I saw is a testimony to the difference the employees can make if they care. I visit this goodwill frequently. The staff members go above and beyond. Nadia, Lawrence and Pricilla are hands down the reason I always come here. They always greet with a nice genuine smile. They know my daughter by name and always have great conversations with me! The reason for such a low review is the vile manager with the short blonde hair and glasses. She barks, yells, humiliates and dictates the employees. She makes it extremely uncomfortable to shop there. Most times when I see she is in store I'll turn around and leave. I've spoken to her and told her how wonderful her staff is and how grateful she should be for them. She rolled her eyes and told me if they are so great to write a yelp review....and here we are. I'll keep going for the staff but that manager needs to be reprimanded for how she treats the employees. read more

I would give this store 0 starts if possible. It is absolutely disgusting inside and I don't think they sort through their donations AT ALL. Just today I picked up a baby outfit absolutely covered in poop stains and a glass cup that still had the (used) disposable straw in it. Barf!! I only gave this place a few chances because I went on a Thursday and the man at checkout told us that Monday is $1.99 Monday and every single clothing item is $1.99. I clarified with him three times and he reassured me that every single clothing item was $1.99. So I came back on Monday with both kids, spent 40 minutes picking through trashed clothing to find a 4 pieces of clothing that were in decent shape. Get to the register and my total is $20. What?! So I ask if it's $1.99 Monday and the cashier says yes but only the blue tags are $1.99! Absolutely not what i was told just a few days prior. Their prices are also outrageous- $2.99 for a single mason jar, $8.99 for a pack of jumbo diapers that you can get for $5 at Walmart. read more

The prices of clothing at Goodwill is getting out of control. It has become too expensive, I get a better deal at Walmart, Target or the Exchange than here. They wanted a $9.99 for a dingy sweatshirt. I won't be frequenting here. Also their return policy sucks, only store credit and must be returned within three days.
