Relief Of Sticker Shock... That's what Ross means for me and I just can't believe that I didn't give this place a review. Nothing can be less than five stars as they have saved me in more ways than I can recall and this location is no different as it's in Ewa's Lualani Village Shopping Center which home to several other great biz as well. A great average size store and is quite busy for the area is always quite surprising as today is no different with 20+ shopper checking out before me normally I'd give up but did find some items that I needed and the line did move pretty fast. The service does try its best and that's all that I can ask for as Ross does keep filling up their shelves with various items that I'm thankful kill for. Thank you! read more

This is the Ross at the Laulani Shopping Center. It's clean, bright and spacious. We were greeted when we walked in. We roamed around the different departments and I didn't see anything that interested me. Usually, when I go to Ross I see something that I like. The shelves were really well stocked for a Saturday though. What caught me eye was all the Elliott jerseys that they had in stock, since the Cowboys cut him loose. This is going to sound crazy, but I purchased a small perfume bottle of one of my favorite perfumes and already know what the scent smells like (this is important). The perfumes are located in their own lock box. I purchased my items including the perfume and while at the register the cashier opened the lock box for me. I went straight to my car which was the very first car directly in front of the store. I put my items in the trunk but grabbed the perfume box so I could use it right away. As I was walking to the drivers door I started to open the wrapper. When I got in the car I opened the box and noticed that there was A ROLLED UP PIECE OF DOUGH IN PLACE OF A PERFUME BOTTLE. I DID NOT TOUCH THE DOUGH AT ALL!!! As soon as I saw this I jumped right out of the car and walked right back in the store. All of that took a minute or less. I stood back in line and made sure I went back to the cashier that checked me out. She called the manager over and then he said to wait for him by the jewelry counter. I thought he was going to meet me at the counter but instead he walks over to the security and then walks in the back. Come to find out he went to look at cameras!! I was in the ER from midnight with my son and it was 12noon when this happened. I was beyond exhausted, but since it was Father's Day I wanted to get my other half a quick Father's Day gift before I went home and I just so happen to see my favorite perfume for sale so I grabbed it. Anyways...when I heard he went to look at the cameras I was beyond insulted! The cashier JUST SAID that she opened the LOCKED box for me when I purchased it. After about 5-10 mins of waiting he comes back and says you can either purchase another item or get a store credit. I told him that no....i DO NOT want another item or store credit because I just so happen to see my favorite perfume and wanted to grab it since it was the only one left. I told him that there IS NO WAY that I went to my car right there, opened the box, swapped out an untouched looking play dough rolled out log, let the oil from the dough grease up the inside of the box, and walk back in the store all within a minute. He had the nerve to tell me that some of the perfume boxes may get grease on the inside of the box....THE OIL DID NOT SMELL LIKE PERFUME. IT SMELT LIKE DOUGH!!!! The entire time I was practically being accused of stealing. Anyways he let me know that he will talk to his boss and let me know what they say. Another 5-10 mins go by and he comes back practically saying that the receipt says that they do not refund opened perfume and then stated that if I wanted to test the perfume out then next time to do it in the front of the cashier. I told him that I was not trying to test the perfume out as I ALREADY KNEW WHAT IT SMELT LIKE!!!! And me taking it out of the wrapper was me using it right away and NOT TESTING IT. THEN HE RUDELY SAID THE DOUGH WAS FRESH. IDC IF THE DOUGH LOOKED FRESH OR WHAT. THATS NOT MY PROBLEM. MY HANDS DIDNT SMELL LIKE DOUGH, I TOLD HIM THAT HE CAN SEARCH MY CAR, SO TO STAND THERE AS THEY WERE ACCUSING ME OF STEALING THE PRODUCT BECAUSE YOU LITERALLY JUST SAW THE CASHIER OPEN THE BOX FOR ME, I WAS OUTSIDE FOR A MINUTE OR LESS, AND SAID YOU CAN SEARCH MY CAR IS BEYOND RUDE. This was my go to ross to walk around and stumble upon random items to buy. I've noticed in my most recent visits that the employees there whom I have not noticed before, must be new hires at the register are heavily lacking customer service. While shopping I overheard one of them complaining to have to back up on the register because the line was too long. Then proceeding with my checkout, girl up front asks me about my day (because it was most likely in their training to be nice to customers) so I thought that was nice of her and then I asked how her day was back she ignores me and then has conversations with another employee who's last day was today and they just decided to talk story. Those types of people just seem to lack mannerism. I miss the Filipino aunties who used to work there. read more

I had the most heartbreaking experience today at ewa beach Ross. When entering, it was perfectly fine up until I went to use the restroom. While washing my hands an older woman rushes through the door crying her eyes out. It was hard to see so I simply asked her if she was okay/what's wrong. She proceeded to say that she was getting bullied, I asked by who, she said her coworkers....shes a Ross employee... that hurt to hear. She was crying terribly so I gave her a hug, she's an older woman, mind you she is someone's mother, grandmother, daughter, wife.... I would hate to hear if my grandmother was being bullied in her place of work, her way of income. It's just so sad overall. After reading past reviews based on rudeness and bad customer service, they need to step it up and work on values in the workplace! read more

I decided to come here while the family waited in the car. I was going to be quick. I had to scope out the makeup section because Ross sells high end makeup for affordable prices. I found a MAC highlighter palette on sale for $5.99! What a steal and I found a MAC face palette for $24.99! Still not bad. I went to pay. Luckily my check out was quick. I love Ross and hunting for great bargains on home items. I've been frequenting Ewa a lot lately but I could never manage to put an effort into stopping at this Ross. I'm just a creature of habit who doesn't like to stray away from my routine, home to work, work to home. Nevertheless, I made it a mission to since I was on a hunt for black curtain rods with crystal ends and a pink desk chair. I know that's specific, but I've found those items at Ross before, well stocked too! Sadly no luck.. But it was nice to finally check out this particular Ross location. The store is very spacious and parking wasn't so bad right when they opened. I got mainland vibes when looking at the design of the buildings. I didn't take a good look at the clothes but swerved through the home aisles and beauty section. I'm hoping all Ross locations will start to restock on more home goods. These shelves are looking bare.. During the pandemic I have time to decorate and enhance my home. On the bright side, it wasn't a total fail, I scored some surf brand slippers for my son and a back brace for lifting. So all in all, I'm sure I'll be back. Funny story, I was near the front browsing and overheard probably a supervisor explain that they ask for your zip code to determine if a Ross location should be added to that area. All the employees seemed to have been gathered at the door and it was a loud conversation. I didn't hear any music so the store was quiet with just a few of us lingering. Lol. I like this location. When visiting gram, we can stop by afterward to just see what's up. Compared to locations like Mililani and Pearl ridge, this Ross is spacious. Its not cramped at all. Makes the shopping experience a lot more relaxing. You're able to browse easily without feeling rushed or like you can't find anything. I can't necessarily say there is a better selection. I think all Ross stores really vary by the demographic, and time of year honestly. If you have the time, and are somewhat of a "treasure hunter" you'll know when it comes to Ross, if you see something you like... You better get it! And if you're looking for something specific, you'll more than likely have to visit more than one location. That's also why I like that Ewa Beach has one. I found a Ralph Lauren dress for $3.49 !!! I was so happy that it turned my day into a much better one! Ewa Beach is about a half an hour drive for me. Since I was in the area, I thought that I could do a quick stop and look around. I used my GPS to make sure that I wouldn't get lost. However, the parking lot is a maze. Just be patient and look for the entrance and exit... I usually head for the clearance sections. This is where the best deals are. And there it was - a basic black Ralph Lauren dress in my size! Nothing was wrong with it. Yay! My next stop was Macy's - to return a similar Ralph Lauren dress that I had purchased for $36.83. Original prices for these dresses are about $120. I thought $36.83 was good. $3.49 is even better! I'm going to come back for sure! This location seems bigger than the one closest to my home. We visited this store today for a last minute school shopping for my nieces and nephew back home in the Philippines and when we are about to be done, my husband was like- oh my! It's a long line so we immediately thought that it will take a while until we get out from there. Usually, when we see this much foot traffic at the store we would just leave and do the shopping some other day. Today was different because we only have today to do it. To make the story short , while we expecting to be in line for a while, we didn't realize that the flow was fast and moving that we didn't realize a gap in front of us. We probably were just there for a few minutes and realizing that the cashier was full and saw the two managers on there too. My son needed some running shorts so we decided to run into this location. At home, in Atlanta, GA I normally avoid Ross stores because they are generally disoraganized. So imagine my surprise when I walked in and the store layout was neat and organize and had the lighting of a major department store. My son quickly found two pair of shorts for less than $25, one pair Nike and one pair Adidas. I found a really cute Puma tennis skirt with the shorts attached underneath for $12.99. This Ross is located in the middle between Teddy's Bigger Burgers and City Mill. In the past few years that I have been frequenting this store, especially from what I can see on my last visit here, is that they have been cutting back on items related to dining ware and kitchen and food. The store space is still the same but it feels like they have less things, less variety, of things for you to browse through. The only food options they have are now all moved to the front where the cashier line is. Is it just me or does it feel like Ross isn't what it used to be? For the past 5 visits at least, I'd come in to the store to browse and hope I see something I like, but walk out empty handed. Growning up "back n' da day", I remembered a time when "Liberty House" use to rule in Hawaii, as they use to be the monopoly of the clothes store world........those days are dead my friend, with all of the big box mainland chains coming here the last 20 years, it has really changed the face of the consumer shopping choices. No such thing as Zooper Sale, or Rainbow Sale anymore. Or wearing the same "cheap sale" shirt that your parents bought for you from the Liberty House sale, only to go school and find out 10 of your homies also have the same shirt!!!! Lol!!! With Ross, it's always a hit or miss thing..........if you see it, and you like it, don't think, just buy! If you don't, it will be gone in no time...........and no, you don't have to worry about "cheap sale", as they have such a large selection of clothing. Yesterday I was working in the Ewa Beach area, and decided to drop into Ross to kill a little time. Location: This Ross is conveniently located in Ewa Beach in the new Laulani Shopping Center. There is a lot of parking in this shopping center however the parking is small. Merchandise: I love bargain shopping! It's fun to find things at a great price. I love buying my workout clothes from here. They have Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Puma and many more well known brands. I've never bought a name brand item for more than $20. Love it! My recent purchase was a slim fitting Reebok running jacket for $19.99. The retail price was $65. You can't beat a $45 savings. Please look closely at the clothes your going to buy. I look at the stitching to make sure it isn't unraveled and that it's in excellent condition. Fitting Room: The fitting room doors completely close the bottom unlike older Ross fitting rooms. I like this feature since it stops my daughter from escaping while I try on clothes. Lol. There are bathrooms near the fitting room. It is nice and clean. Restock: They restock new things all the time. So if you see something you like, get it. It might not be there if you try to go back for it. I didn't get the Reebok jacket the first time I went and decided to get it a few days later. Luckily it was still there but the size smaller and larger was all gone. If you don't see anything you like one day, you'll probably see something new the next week. Overall, I love all Ross but I'm very happy with this Ross because it's new, close to home, huge and clean. read more

The only reason I am giving two stars is because the inventory in this Ross compared to others...sucks. While it is the most convenient Ross to go to when you're in Ewa, I rather drive all the way to the Kapolei one since they have cleaner looking clothes and more options to choose from. And while I know most Ross stores are disheveled, the clothing in this particular store seems to be all over the place and all over the floors...and while I do believe it is a customer's common courtesy/respect to pick up and put back items they dropped or no longer want...I think the staff should also do a little better making the store seem tidy. But who am I? Lol...it is "dress for less" so you get what you pay for! Despite these complaints, I love Ross and the mess ain't gonna stop me from going here again lol read more

When you want to look awesome on a dime, this is the place to go! Ross has clothes, gifts, household items and even sometimes toys. So there is something for everyone. Most importantly, they have everything you need to look fabulous even when you in the ghetto. This location is located by the City Mill/Safeway/Walgreens Ewa by Gentry Complex. There is lots of parking and easily accessible through Fort Weaver Rd or Kapolei Parkway. This location is awesome because: -As all Ross locations, the price is dirt cheap, there is a good selection of household items, clothing, shoes and accessories. - it is not crowded -the hours! Mall doesn't open til 10am, Ross is open at 730 am! - you have brand names for dirt cheap prices! - there is lots of parking and it's free! - thus location is pretty organized and the employees are usually pleasant and helpful. On 6/19/22 My husband and I came to Ross to pick up a baking rack. I live in ocean pointe so it's literally right down the road. I usually like coming to this location. However, today I was very upset at the SPS. Like I said my husband and I came in to pick up one thing, a baking rack. After looking in the kitchen isle it was evident that they did not have one. So we left the store. We went to Safeway to do some grocery shopping. My husband reminds tells me if we could go back to Ross. He just remembered that he needed socks for work. We walk back in about an hour later (after shopping at Safeway) the SPS welcomes us to the store. I reply "hello again with a laugh." We proceed to the back of the store to pick up my husbands socks. Im looking at the pillows and quilt sets while my husband is picking out his socks. The security literally stands about 15 feet from us and she is turned the other way. I couldn't help but think that the young man that greeted us told the female security to watch us. She was watching like we were going to steal something. My husband got very irritated. I had no intention to buy in to this foolishness. I purchased a $40 quilt set and my husband purchased his socks. Right up until check out the female security is now where the luggage is watching people in line. I don't know if she was watching us or someone else. I just wanted to bring light to this service breakdown. My husband and I is a honest Christian couple. Just because we came back twice that warrants a security to watch us?? Upon exiting the cashier forgot to take the security tag off my quilt set and the young man at the entrance responds and asks for the receipt when they seen us paying for the items. My husband gives him the receipt and he removes the decorum tag. That made me feel so uncomfortable, by his actions and body language. The entire second trip to Ross was a service breakdown. Stopped by here after going to City Mill which is a store away. I wanted to see what they had in their arts and crafts section and I was so excited when I saw a Friskars ProCision cutter for vinyl, cork, foam and more. This is perfect for all my craft projects at an unbeatable price way way less then what Amazon would charge. The store was pretty good with how they operate during the pandemic. A staff monitors the restroom and unlocks with the code allowing only one person to go in at a time so that's good. Customer service here was awesome, very friendly and you get greeted at the door when you come in. There were sales but I didn't bother to browse as I still had some errands to do. read more

The best Ross I have found ! Regarding the recent Yelp about Security following the customer around : I work at the Safeway in ocean pointe right near Ross and the theft by local customers makes the security a requirement not a choice. I am disappointed in my neighbors who cone to the store both day and night and pretend to shop while stealing whatever they choose. I work very hard to keep merchandise on the shelf and believe me items are stolen regardless of my presence on that aisle. One of the cleanest and most organized Ross's I've ever been too. The problem is, the selection isn't as good as other stores (the shelves seem so much more empty). Also, the cashier I got was so rude and uninterested in his job. There were a bunch of workers just standing around near the register. I was the only one waiting in line, and it took them a whole minute to even acknowledge me and call me up to the register. Are you here to work or stand around talking to each other? I'd come back just because it's so close to my house, but gosh the service needs work. Oh, and I find it absurd that you can't take carts out of the store. You have to leave your stuff inside and move your car to the front and double park if you have a lot of purchases or if you can't carry everything on your own. read more

I visited the store January 1st 2024, around 8:00 pm. I would have to say the security guard was very friendly, the cashier was very friendly and helpful, and the young lady that was stocking the shoes, was helpful. The store manager, however, I felt displayed very poor customer service and was rude to me. I brought up some shoes that did not have a tag, however at Ross the price is written in on the bottom of the shoes. They would not honor the price at the bottom of the shoes. The cashier had to call her manager. I waited for a while because the this manager said she had to go try and get it cleared with her Superior. I don't believe she went to go get anything cleared, she just went to go look for more shoes like the ones that I brought to the register, and just wanted me wait for nothing. She had a smirk on her face as she re approached the register. I have shopped at Ross for over 20 years and have frequently come across this case where identical items are not priced the same. And it's always the same scenario, the cashier has to charge whatever price is marked. The one time when it's in my favor, of course the manager says no. The manager was really rude and insinuated that that I could have written the price on the bottom of the shoes. When I called her out on that because I was offended, she said she wasn't directing it to me. I felt she got too loud and her attitude is belligerent. They should have honored the price, and this manager needs to brush up on her customer service. I plan on contacting corporate over this. This Ross used to be really junk as far as stock compared to other stores but in the recent years (~2 maybe), they do a better job keeping in stock than before. BAD customer service. They make my husband and I feel uncomfortable as if we're thieves. Brah, we have the fear of God. We don't steal. It got to the point that it was almost every single experience when we would go and we barely shopped there! So we went there less and less until I finally just boycotted this particular store. I'd rather go Kapolei or Pearl City. And we don't even shop there much! It's for birthdays or last minute events/buys! LOL I thought maybe it was because of what I wore..? But whether I was going after church (in Sunday best attire) or everyday dress, it was the same.
