One of the best goodwill stores I've been to. The entire store is separated into clothing items (towards the front/middle section) and household/misc items towards the back on shelves. So many great clothing pieces here, but also some very cheap items that are slightly overpriced. I found some great Abercrombie sweaters for less than $10 and looked barely worn! They even had some furniture pieces in the middle section. The service was good. Employees at the cashier were friendly. Parking is okay- there's a small lot on the side. Answer the phone when called and not have a full mailbox early in the morning to mid afternoon. I keep calling to make a donation and I keep getting the mailboxes full. I have to knock it down a few stars for the fact that they've taken out the dressing rooms. I get that they now have a larger donation center in the back, but I feel like they could have spared a corner for some dressing rooms. I also noticed that they blanket price all tops at $7.99, all jeans at $9.99, etc. I felt like I was getting a better deal on items when they were individually priced. Always find great things, been here twice but the staff is very unprofessional. Last time I heard all about being short handed and that of the 4 new hires only one has shown up even thought the girl sent the paperwork to one of the candidates multiple times. Location is pretty easy to spot. Things here are really cheap. And it's got all kinds of stuff that you might or might not need but you'd still want to buy them anyways. I stopped by today to make a donation of several hundred dollars worth of goods from my house. Including some lawn care equipment, one of those items was a Craftsman chainsaw. I was asked if they worked and I said yes they just need have gasoline in them. Everything was fine until one man walked out I guess he was a supervisor I don't know but he started immediately yelling at me that the lawn equipment was junk and it doesn't run, he said look it don't even have a chain on the chainsaw. Now the chain was there it was just off of the guide, but again all equipment was in working order when I had put it away last. The man continued to scream at me telling me to grab my shit and get out of there. I finally had enough and told him to f off got in my truck and left. The salvation army will get my donations from now on. read more

Hello, I just left your store at 3106 N. Shiloh in Garland. My son needs shoes because his are torn and I don't want to buy brand new since there are only 6 weeks of school left. This was the third thrift store we looked at. My son finally found some shoes. We were ready to pay. She was going to charge me $5.99 when the sign says $4.99. She stated that she's the "manager" and what she says the price is that's it. That she should know the prices since the manager. She also stated that sizes 2 and up are considered adult shoes. I don't know any adults that wear that size. My 8 year old doesn't even wear that size. He's surely not an adult. There were no other signs explaining this. She was arguing with me OVER A DOLLAR. Is that worth losing a customer over? I have shopped at Goodwill since I was a child and I hadn't been in here in quite some time. She was very rude to me and said if I hadn't argued with her she would've lowered the price. So in turn, I wasn't very pleasant with her either. Your managers need more training on how to interact with customers. read more

Prices are ridiculous especially when the items are donations. Something happed to Goodwill after The pandemic. I used to have to stand in line for at least 15 or 20 minutes and now no one is in line. No bargains at Goodwill. They even dropped the Senior discount from 25% to 10%, and upped the prices 100%. I saw the bad customer services reviews for this location prior to visiting the location today, @ 12:25 7/10/2023 but thought I wouldn't be affected since I was only donating. I dropped off a bar height table with two stools, a coffee table, 2 side tables, and a floor lamp. Neither of the 2 young men (1 with curly hair and 1 with dreads) thought twice about helping me unload the furniture or even spoke 1 word to me after I mentioned I had a lot of furniture. Not really sure why they were even there. I'm honestly appalled at the customer service. It makes the experience a 0/10 for those who can donate things. My husband and I dropped off a few bags of clothes yesterday after some pretty intense spring cleaning. We stumbled upon this store as we were headed to Red Robin for some burgers and amazing steak fries. While we didn't go inside the actual store, we were disappointed with the customer service that occurred outside while dropping off our donations. When I approached the donation truck, I smiled and asked the employee how his day was going. He grumbled at me and just grabbed the clothes out of my hands. When I asked for a tax deduction slip, he looked as though I had ruined his day once again. But, he reached into his folder and thrust one towards me. For me, this is as good as it gets. Trinkets and shoes and TVs and more. Charity. Giving back. And a feel for community. This is a hard job. These people work their behinds off. I can only imagine the motivation to be doing good for others is doing good for you. This store, the Shiloh Garland location is clean, orderly and easy to navigate. And as a great man once said "there's gold in them there hills". I found a vintage music box, a AC/DC shirt and a pair of old school Nikes. All my size and taste. read more

This is the best Goodwill in the northern area (particularly compared to the Plano stores). This Goodwill has a good selection in all the categories, from Toys to Books to Household Goods to Clothes. I am particularly pleased with their clothing selection and have found good plus-sized and kids bargains here. The store is clean and usually not messy, although that can always depend on how busy it is that day. Dressing rooms are spartan, but well-sized. Thrift store shopping is like a treasure hunt, and this is definitely one of my preferred beaches. I usually find at least one thing every visit and once in a while I have excellent finds of like-new items! Oh and in response to the last review - the nearest Salvation Army is only a few miles south, at the corner of North Garland and Buckingham. And I do agree that this store makes dropoff very convenient, with a staffed trailer in the back of the parking lot, away from most of the store traffic. read more

It is what it is - an average Goodwill store offering a no frills shopping in an older store that smells a bit, but the trade-off is rock-bottom prices for things that you may be planning on not keeping around for long anyway. We go to Goodwill for casserole dishes we can give away, large t-shirts we can cut up for crafts, mugs for cute gifts, and armfuls of warm blankets in good condition for pet bedding drives. We do appreciate the manned donation drop-off here, and my girl scouts have participated in donation drives here more times than I can count. read more

I am concerned with the recent price hike. I went in yesterday and a nice pair of shoes are $12.00. I saw a jacket for $15.99 for a kid. It saddened me that my old hang out for bargains is gone....I could go to a retail store and pay close to those prices on clearance. Not to mention a decent dress cost $12.99. Who is really gaining from the profit???. Not the poor people...I then saw a fossil bag for $34.99. I guess the higher ups once again look for ways to get rich off the poor. Nothing changed. I went in the other day to see if they had any furniture items. It's been ages since I've stepped foot into a Goodwill, so I knew that it would be a hit or miss on the furniture side of things. But I also needed some pants since most of mine no longer fit. I saw tons of jeans that were somewhat separated by size...except they had children's sizes mixed in with adult sizes. The other areas of the store were a mess. Nothing I saw made me want to return to this store. And yes, the clothes I purchased were cheaper than new clothing prices, they were still quite steep. read more

Always a nice selection of items at this store. I really enjoy the shoe selections and find they offer much nicer quality than other thrift stores I have been too. Toy selection is picked through and mostly broken or missing parts. Very large selection of clothing for me , women and children. I have drove by this place literally hundreds of times and never stopped by. My friend and I decided to do some shopping on the cheap. Lots and lots of clothes and shoes. This place is huge, comparable in size to the average mall clothing store. The clothes are very affordable, in good shape, and stylish. I picked up two pairs of capris, a blouse, a purse, cookie sheet, dish rack, iron, and ironing board for $35 They have all sorts of dishes, housewares, small appliances and knick knacks. read more

This location is my preferred Goodwill in Dallas. I've covered most area Goodwills, and this one always delivers with some great finds. The layout works excellent with any casual thrift shopping. Plethora of purses (some designer pieces, mostly crap, but you'll find some Dooney, replica Louis) and tons of "FGW" marked Fossil wallets. The shoe Dept. is supplied very well as there is many options for men and women alike. This store is inside an old skating rink, so the size is very big. Above average. One half of the store is for men's clothing and the other is for women. This is a BIG PLUS given that most thrift stores allocate their men's clothing off to one side. TONS of toys, great place to find excellent mint condition vintage board games, GIANT housewares dept, and a small sectional library with hundreds of Disney titles. What makes this store so wonderful to me is the staff, once you get to know these guys you'll find that they are excellent people with a witty sense of humor. They keep the store very clean, and most clothing is organized by size, movies by titles, etc. Give it a shot! read more

This really is one of the best Goodwills. Employees here are always so nice and welcoming. Very clean and organized. I shop for everything but rarely clothing here, Goodwill likes to price that high but they do regularly have 50% off store sales. The absolute best place to shop for board games that I've found yet. I really credit this place for providing my kids awesome new and vintage toys, children's books, and board games when times were tough. Large vinyl selection and even cassettes. What they don't usually have is furniture and craft supplies. read more

Definatley one of the best Goodwills in the Dallas area. Totally worth the drive to check it out (and while you're in Garland, hit up The Generator for a coffee!). Very clean & well laid out store. HUGE homeware section- they had an entire aisle of just lamp shades! This store is a lot bigger and nice than the Goodwills on Midway or Beltline. The dressing rooms were clean & nice too- oh, and they had hooks!!! The only thing is yeah the jeans were all mixed together & not sorted by size or color or anything but Eh.
