Honestly, I only go to thrift shops to buy office supplies, vinyl, CDs, and occasionally some workout sweats. This location doesn't seem to have the stuff that I want. I've visited this place twice already, and they don't seem to have much of anything whenever I visit.

Came to this location today on my way home from work since I haven't been in before. I was excited for the selection because it seems like a newer store. Everything I saw was in good-excellent condition and the store was really clean. I won't be back due to the prices. I thought the ones near me marked things up-but it's nothing compared to this location. I had a cart of about 10 things I was contemplating on and put them all back because I couldn't justify paying that much at goodwill. It seems like over half of their clothing was marked at at least 17.99. Brands from Walmart and target for 9.99-12.99. A shirt that was new with tags for 19.99 was marked at 17.99. You can get these items for cheaper on clearance at the store their came from.

2/14/26 Purpose…read more My study groups Team event. Fourteen of us from BCC did a Community volunteering activity to pack box food for children in need. Today we are focusing on specific overseas underserved villages and dietary needs of the children. Parking 5/5 Abundance of private parking Facilities 5/5 Very impressive building, large well suited for Feeding My Starving Children's mission. Teams which can be families, business teams etc may sigh-up in advance to be scheduled to participate in a meaningful and needed service for fighting hunger. Our day began in their Large group welcome and information room. Run by a great orator of their organization we learned what we were going to do and who would be receiving the product of our labor. Very nicely done! Surrounding this great room was the organizations special store. Items available for purchase were made in many of the countries they serve. Packing room 5/5 After dawning head and facial hair nets and gloves we were organized in sub team groups to a specific job. Activities/Effort 5:/5 in the progressive line from bulk dry food products to measuring, funnel dumping into bags to scale to add or remove product to meet bag weight requirements the to a sealing operation and final case building and taping. Teamwork 5:5 There must have been 8-10 teams with ~14 a team in a fun and motivational competition to maximize the Total food each two hour shift could produce. I enjoyed how our team with some ASU students developed teamwork that was flexible. Event take-away 10/5 Facts about food shortages and malnutrition are real. Child development is impacted both physically and psychologically. There are nations like ours who have organizations like Feed My Starving Children who have the networks, logistics, raw food based sources that utilize nutritional targets with environmentally stable ingredients. What we were shown today is the manual labor needed to meet the output requirements to feed those in need can be accomplished by organizing people of all colors, creeds and religions come together to serve a common goal, Feeding Starving Children. Everyone can benefit from moving out of your comfort zone by sacrificing 2-4 hrs to serve others, and to send a fundamental message to those around the world of Hope and Love through food. And in the process lean how you can work well with others from a wide spectrum of society for a higher cause. Get your families, work colleagues neighbors etc together and have fun helping! Be humble and gracious to others my friends-SYOY!

Amazing! Very structured, organized, and clean!…read more Employees were amazing and helpful. Only thing I suggest is maybe don't have a quiet person in the warehouse explaining how to do things without a mic- could barely hear her over the chatter of other groups and just static of the air. The introduction went smooth, warehouse is my favorite!!! Lots of moving around, heavy lifting, and quick thinking. This is a great organization to be part of if you want to volunteer, especially for a Christian business! They offer anyone who wants, to pray over the food boxes at the end of your shift (optional) they also have a "gift shop" which is all around you as you come in, so you can purchase goods made in other countries and know the labor is being fairly paid for! Everything priced well! 29¢ is what it takes to make one meal for a child, so every donation is significant, no matter how small! They're based off donations and don't take any assistance from the government, so any type of support you can give them is appreciated ! Attached is a picture of our ending numbers

Also involved with Generation United, we spent time with underprivileged children during the free arts day at the museum. There were three highly organized activities with the groups split up into about 8-10 kids. The activities were kids yoga, and two where the children created their own art. The organizers did a great job explaining what the volunteer's boundaries should be and how we could maximize our time with the children. My group were 4-year olds and we were each assigned one child. Being that I have an almost 4 year old, it felt natural to play with my buddy but it was so difficult when we had to say good bye. These kids need so much and you just want to do more. Luckily, they have organizations like Free Arts to bring some fun and creativity into their lives.

Once I paid the dues AND RENEWED MY LEASE, the SAME agent that made the assurances told me there was nothing he could do for me! My wife and I started having issues with our landlord which is a company called Invitation Homes…read moreback in 2025 and they were slow to fix things. They told us we could break our lease and told us all we had to do was give them 30 day notice and we'd be able to break our lease, get our deposit back, and not be fined to break the lease. No other stipulations other than that. Within 10 days we signed to have our new home built and the landlord revoked their offer to allow us to leave. We started working with Ken in Jan 2026 as we knew we had to move but didn't want to face paying our landlord 2 months rent to break the lease. We paid the fee to work with Ken and we got to work. Ken was able to send out his home inspector Sandy to take a look at the home and from there we sent letters to the landlord. In our case the landlord had been sent two letters already which was weeks apart before they had their lawyers respond saying that we'd be held liable for leaving. While this made us anxious Ken put us at ease because the landlord. 1) Hadn't fixed the issues we told them about in our letters 2) Had their registration filed wrong with the state. (Which Ken said was grounds to break your lease on it's own) This made us feel a bit better but we were hoping the landlord didn't press the issue as Ken explains to you before you sign and pay with him that they can't help you with civil matters if a landlord tries to take you to court. They only help draft the letters to your landlord and have their 3rd party attorneys review the letters being sent out. Ken tells you how to take photos to document anything that is wrong with the home that you'll need for future reference. In our case we did our move out inspection with the landlord and their inspector was blue taping areas he noticed had issues to be fixed. All things that Sandy had found and Ken had drafted in the letters. Which is funny because our landlord's lawyers were stating that everything with the home was fixed and we were just trying to break our lease and not pay. So on move out inspection day we had already had the keys processed served to our landlord and we left it at that. Ken walks you through how to approach the move out. We were polite but didn't give more information to the landlord than what was needed and I offered and did clean areas they wanted me to before I left. Ken then started helping us draft the demand letters for our security deposit. Which thankfully the landlord gave back in full. We were expecting them to fine us for something and deduct money. I don't know if it was Ken's letters, the landlord being afraid they'd get in more trouble if we reported their address wasn't up to date with the state, or what but we didn't expect a full refund. Ken and his team has assured that's the end of things and we're hoping that's the case. With us giving them the keys nearly 3 weeks ago as of writing this the landlord hasn't demanded any money which was surprising, given that they threatened to do so. Ken had assured us he had dealt with Invitation Homes before several times so that made us feel better but you just never know how a corp will react. Ken and his team are amazing. They came recommend by the Arizona Department of Housing when I was calling around looking for help on how to deal with our landlord. I can't imagine what things would have been like if we just paid the landlord 2 months rent to break the lease. We're hoping to not get anything else from the landlord but for now we're happy and grateful we found Ken and the team.
