This thrift shop truly holds a special place in my heart. Knowing that it supports Hospice of the Valley and the patients and families they serve made every purchase feel meaningful. Having personally experienced the care hospice provides, shopping here felt deeper than just finding great deals--it felt like giving back. The store offers everything you'd expect from a thrift shop--housewares, artwork, furniture, clothing, jewelry, and even essentials like diapers and Depends. But what sets it apart is their boutique section, featuring higher-end items at fantastic prices. On top of that, they run additional discounts based on colored tags--I literally had to take a picture to keep track of all the deals! The organization here is impressive. Clothing is neatly arranged by size, and even the shoes are sorted the same way, which makes browsing so much easier. The displays are classy, giving the shop an elevated, boutique-like feel rather than a typical thrift store vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. They have one restroom, which was clean, and three fitting rooms. The fitting rooms are a bit on the tight side, so it may be challenging for wheelchair access, but they are functional. Overall, this shop has such good energy--great finds, thoughtful organization, and a meaningful mission. Not all thrift shops are the same. You'll know that as soon as you step inside White Dove. Everything in the store is hung or displayed with care. The store is very well organized, and all of the staff will greet you with a smile and offer to help you find whatever you are looking for. Deals are clearly marked on multiple white boards within the store. So many affordable items so little time. You'll find yourself starting with a couple of items, then a handful, then you'll ask where the shopping carts are (they are up front). Happens every time. I was just in yesterday with a few minutes to browse before they closed. Walked out with 21 DVDs and three Star Wars novels. I first found out about White Dove from my late grandma. She recommended the one in Phoenix near where she lived. Been going to many of the Valley stores since. This one just happens to be within walking distance of our house in the East Valley. We have seen this store thrive in a spot which used to rotate different businesses in and out every few years. Nice to have some stability in our neighborhood plaza - and one which raises money for Hospice of the Valley. We have not only seen them do well, but years ago they even expanded. The store has a very nice addition to the West side of their store with larger items, paintings, and collectibles for sale. Highly recommend White Dove for your thrifting adventures. read more

I used to love going here because of the great vintage home decor pieces I would find, but my last few trips have not been as successful. Part of that has to do with the prices, I've noticed a lot of things priced very high for a "thrift shop". I was looking at a few of the books behind the glass case and they are hundreds of dollars. Yes they have value, but nothing should be priced $450 at a "thrift store". I do like that they have discounts every week, but I saw more items that have "no discount" written on the tag. Not sure how the expect to sell their more expensive items when they won't do any sale on it. Very hit or miss with this store. read more

We called ahead to drop off clothing, and household items, they said no furniture at this time. They told us they also give items they can't sell to Big Brother/Big Sister. This is honestly my go to thrift store. The deals you get here are unbeatable. If you're an antique nerd like myself this place also rocks for that. The cashiers are extremely friendly and get quality fast service. I really don't mind giving more money to a place like this because it goes to the Hospice of the valley which is an incredible service for those who are in that stage of life. read more

Out of 8 thrift stores I visited this week in the area White Dove was the best. It's big and open, clean, has opened dressing rooms and a great variety of useful items. The space isn't filled to the ceiling with junk. Not saying I wouldn't wade through some junk now and then but that's not this place. The Christmas section is pretty nice as is the furniture side of the store. Most of the electronics have been pretested but still plug them in to test , sales are final. The sale they were having the day I went was great, picked up a nice pair of shorts for a buck. Got a few excuse me's and hi's from the many employees. The ladies at the checkout were fun and professional, nice. When we get back to coming around again will stop by here. Last word...YIP! read more

I used to go here all the time, but now they are way overpriced. Used Vans are priced at $35- higher than brand new Vans on sale. Vintage tea cups are $50 each, and hanging decorations are $60. I know they're for a good cause, but people don't go to thrift stores for things priced this high. Somebody clearly references the internet when pricing things here. read more

This is the cleanest most reasonably priced thrift store I've been in recently. I was looking for a wall mirror (no luck) but looked around a bit. The clothes, while skewing to a more mature style, are all band name--saw Eddie Bauer, The Limited, Old Navy, Orvis. Every tag I checked was between $6-9. Saw lots of brand name shoes with no wear including Nike. Good selection of books, home goods, and art and some furniture. And then there was a $300 taxidermy turkey--sure this is a treasure for someone. read more

I LOVE this White Dove Thrift Shoppe. I stop in about once a week and they always have great stuff. A few of our best MCM furniture pieces are from this store. The staff if friendly, it's close to my house, and I'm able to get everything from clothes to art supplies at a fraction of the price. I see there hasn't been a recent review, so thought I would add mine. I live in the area so I'm drawn in whenever I go by. My thoughts are a repetition of many of the positive comments. It is the cleanest of clean. The atmosphere is more like that of the high end consignment stores. The quality not quite like that, but the prices aren't either. They often have 50%, 25% and sometimes even 75% off certain color tags. Better yet, they have certain color clothing tags for only $.50 or $1.00. And Mondays are always senior discount days at 25% off. Saturdays are military and student and teacher discount days, same 25% off. I once asked if they only keep the better quality items and send the "rejects" off to other thrift stores. The answer was yes. I knew it!! I have a walk-in closet full of clothes I've gotten for $.50 or $1.00. Way more clothes than I need, but certainly didn't spend a fortune. read more

I have donated to Hospice for over 35 years through my job. I have donated EXCLUSIVELY to their thrift stores and will go out of my way to shop there over the other thrift store options in my area. Today that all changed!! I stopped at the White Dove at Alma and Guadalupe with my elderly mother. While checking out, a lady in line asked me about my mask and where I got it. This is is when the cashier decided to eavesdrop into our conversation and I heard her mumble something.... When I asked her what she said, she would not make eye contact and disgustingly said, "I don't think that is funny". First of all: I AM IN YOUR STORE BUYING STUFF! Second: I DONATE TO YOUR STORE! Third: IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS and Forth: YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT YOUR MOUTH SHUT because it was NOT your conversation! I was honestly disappointed at the fact that the deals did not stack. I did get 50% off Christmas items, which were highly priced. But since I am a student, the 25% off did not count towards the total bill of my items. I mostly purchased ornaments that were 50% off (thankfully). Given the fact that this is a thrift store and thrift stores get all of their items for free, your discounts SHOULD stack for all healthcare workers, veterans, AND students. I am genuinely disappointed that the coupons did not stack. read more

What a wonderful store! Organized, clean, and amazing finds. (I'm looking at you, croaking Christmas frogs and homemade Santa hat.) The staff is fantastic and so helpful. They let me know that the store would be closing soon for the day but I could take my time while still looking around. Then after my purchase, they even helped me out to my car! I can't remember the last time, if ever, I have been helped to my car. Mondays are senior days and, I believe, Saturdays are military and student days. The best part is that all the amazing finds you purchase go to a great cause, Hospice of the Valley. That makes me feel wonderful knowing that the proceeds go to a group that gives so much. read more

Last time I went in I got no hello welcome in. As two older people vame in they where very friendly to them. I wont give this store chances any more they are nicer to old people and ignore us young people.not to mention I was waiting in line got ignored again and a lady asked the oldman on the other end of the line if hes ready. M Not only do I get an employee discount, but every thing the store makes goes to helping terminally ill people in the community. They have a nice selection of merchandise in good condition. I went in there after many years with my 3 year old granddaughter. All the clerk's were sitting at the checkout desk. After not finding the item I was looking for we started wandering around looking at the different Items..After 15 minutes of looking around just to see what they had I noticed one of the clerk's "Adjusting" items in all the same areas we were looking. I thought it was just her working but NO as I looked in all 4 corners of the place she was there!!
